Amazing experience! Greg was quite informative and well versed in Sake. It’s a must do! Especially the second tasting with food. You won’t regret it! (Hopefully).

Greg was an awesome guide. Was super informative and catered to all levels of sake drinkers. Tried about 12 sakes total, food pairing was super interesting. Highly recommend and would book the advanced class if we were here longer.

It was a great tour. Our host knew a lot about sake, and she could answer all the questions. I felt like time didn't pass at all because it was great. Thank you. I especially liked the quiz and tasting part in the second half.

This sake tour and tasting experience was brilliant. Greg, our host, was extremely knowledgeable, welcoming and a very nice guy. Overall the experience was well balanced with the perfect blend of museum tour and sake tasting, within which we had plenty of sake to try.

This tour was fantastic! We learned a lot about Sake and got to sample different sakes with food and without food. The difference was amazing! Our guide was knowledgeable and taught us so much through his experience, communication skills and expertise. Getting there by train was so easy and allowed us to enjoy another part of Kyoto that tourists rarely get to see. The tour was worth every penny and highly recommended.

We had a great time on our tour with Kotaro! We really enjoyed learning about sake; we knew nothing before and already feel more confident in our ability to select and try. We also got to taste some really interesting sakes. I'd recommend this experience highly.

Such a great experience. Had Greg as our tour guide and he taught me so much about sake that I didn’t know! Got a pretty sizable amount of sake in the tasting and would definitely recommend to anyone!

Brilliant hosting by Kiyomi. Such enthusiasm and passion plus great presentation. Learn about how Sake is brewed followed by tasting of over 12 Sake. Seven were paired with some food. Went with a family party of 6.

This was one of the best tours I’ve ever done anywhere in the world. If you love Sake (or want to learn how to love Sake) this tour is for you. Highly recommend!

I learned so much from this experience! The museum itself was very cool with a lot of information, and it was very nice having a guided tour of it. I enjoyed learning about the history and methods of making sake. The tasting was very extensive, and they even gave us a cheat sheet to use for future guidance. I only wish we could have seen inside the sake brewery and learned more about the modern day practice of making sake as well. If you are interested in sake, would recommend!

Momoko was an amazing guide. She was thorough, good humored, and made the entire experience engaging. She also has a ton of experience having worked in a sake brewery herself. We learned about the history of sake and about all of the different types. I thought that the whole experience made me appreciate the art of sake brewing much more. If you’re in Kyoto, this is definitely a must-do. Thank you, Momoko!

Our guide/sake sommelier Kotaro was a very nice chap, good English and quite funny. He gave us a brief history of the area, museum and distillery. The tasting in the distillery was good and touched on what he had told us but then we went to a local restaurant and tasted different brands, that was a whole new experience for us. We looked at sake in a different light. Opportunity to purchase without pressure also. We tasted a minimum of 12. Highly recommend if you have dabbled in sake drinking but not explored further.

It was more than Sake tasting, it was incredibly educational. Our guide Kiyomi, literally transported me to a time when hand crafting and expertise were essential components to the production of Sake. Having a better understanding of what my preferences are, and being able to understand the differences at a beginner level will be helpful in my future NIHANSHU (sake) consumption and experience. A must tour for foodies who like to pair the right drink with the right food.

Excellent tour guide Momoko. Explained the history of Sake making (not to mention she worked at one time in the distillery). Would highly recommend this tour.

We had a great education drinking experience with Momoko. She has a wealth of knowledge about Sake. We learned so many things it’s hard to remember them all. We tasted 10 different sakes and were able to rate our best. We learned about the history of sake and what makes it delicious. We learned about the different kinds of sake and that the best sake is the one you like the most with the food you like most. Thank you Momoko. Really enjoyed our time with you
