Great experience learning about whiskey and how it shaped the history of Denver. You definitely get to try a lot of different types of whiskey.

We took this tour as part of a retirement party for a business colleague. We had whiskey drinkers and those that don't like whiskey--but everyone had a great time! Will is one of the best tour guides I have seen. His knowledge of Denver and whiskey are both very indepth. I've lived in Denver for 25 years, and kept learning more and more as the tour went on! The whiskeys we tasted were great, and a very good variety. Will has cultivated relationships with the owners of the establishments we visited, which shows in the details of the tour. Highly recommended--whether you are a local or a visitor, this is a must do tour in Denver.

Anytime someone comes to visit me in CO, I take them on this tour. After attending this tour 3 times, I can say that it is well worth the cost and time. Will is an incredible tour guide and does a fantastic job exploring the history of Denver that we will never learn about in school. Every guest I have taken on this tour has enjoyed it immensely and I look forward to the next time friends come to visit and I can take someone else on this tour again. Top tips - absolutely eat before hand, bring snacks and water, and do not pregame! The whiskey that Will shares with his tours can really sneak up on you!

Great start to the tour meeting at Nallen's Pub, great little place to get started. Had some no-shows so more for us, I suppose. After a quick history presentation, we proceeded out to Larimer square and continued learning about how Denver was founded, the architecture and other fun facts about this beautiful city. I thought that Dairy Block was one of the most interesting places we got to see and it was beautifully decorated. Will even took the time to snap some photos for us before we proceeded to Seven Grand for a tasting session and a more focused whiskey lesson. We then proceeded with the tour, talking more history about architecture, people, and places before ending up at Mile High Spirits for a distillery tour. Excellent tour and presentation at Mile High. Will was able to talk to us about the distillery and distilling process while experiencing the sights, sounds, and smells of an active distillery. Finished off with some Mile High Spirits tasters and a chance to purchase the ones you like on the way out. Highly recommend this tour!

This is the second time I’ve done this tour and I’m beyond impressed! The research will has put into this tour is incredible, you can feel his passion for history. His knowledge and appreciation of whiskey is also remarkable. He’s built some great relationships with local whiskey distilleries and bars which he shares with his guests. Definitely eat something before you start the tour as the sampling are extensive. My boyfriend and I enjoyed all of them but were a bit tipsy by the end of the tour. I have recommended this tour to many people and will continue to bring friends and out of town guests on this adventure.

Will provided fascinating historical information of the Denver area as well as great information on local whiskey. There was ample samples of varies types of whiskey and Will helped to highlight the subtle differences. Having access to the back end of the whiskey production was incredible. The combination of walking and tasting great whiskey was the perfect event for a great afternoon! I would recommend this to everyone, even if you aren't a lover of whiskey, the fresh gingerbeer may be for you!

Will was a very awesome tour guide! He was very thorough and explained everything in great detail, and you can really tell that he enjoys giving the tour. Both my wife and I had a great time learning and exploring parts of downtown Denver while enjoying many different types of whiskey. I highly recommend the tour! Make sure you don’t have any drinks before the tour. You will not need them, trust me!

What a fantastic tour of Denver and whiskey, in fact it might be one of the best guided tours I've ever been on. Our guide's passion for Denver's history made the tour very engaging, and the whiskey tastings came with a lot of information on the history of whiskey and how each sample was made.

Set up the tour for business guests. We had a specific time and Denver Local Tours were able to customize the times for us. The entire group loved every aspect of the tour. The history as well as the whiskey tastings. We had fun, learned so much about Denver and experienced some fabulous whiskey as well as spent unique time together. Will was a fabulous guide, he was informative, entertaining and personable.

Will (the Tour Guide) does an amazing job explaining the history of down town and different whiskeys. You can tell how passionate & knowledgable he is about both. This tour was fun and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend it.

We had so much fun on this tour with Will! He did a great job of sharing his local knowledge about Denver, we got some fun facts and great stories about made Denver what it is today. He also provided wonderful choices for the whiskey tastings, we tried Ryes, Whiskeys & Bourbons and got a good story about. each one. I did this tour with my Dad to celebrate our Birthdays' and it was fantastic. My Dad is a Denver Native and he loved it, we learned so much about the history of the buildings and people who founded Denver. Will showed us original saloons and places of early Denver debauchery; he offered a wide selection of whiskeys to taste and gave generous pours. I recommend as a gift.

My husband and I took this tour with our 2 young adult children (21yo+!) and loved it. It was a very cold day, but Will kept us mezmorized with his encyclopedic knowledge of the history of Denver and the intertwined history of the development of the whiskey business in the city's story. We really enjoyed his primary research and his storytelling ability. I'm actually not a whiskey drinker at all, but I learned a lot about the making of and different kinds of whiskeys, Scotches and Bourbons. We really loved the walk- through of the actual process at the end of the tour. Maybe come with food in your stomach, so you can handle the high levels of proof better than I did. Thanks, Will, we had a blast and learned a ton. Our kind of tour!
