Our guide was fantastic. He was personable, really knowledgeable and made our experience very special. It was such a good way to see the canyon and to understand the history and culture of the people who have lived here.

This tour was a great suprise. We were picked up by our tour guide Viola who drove us into what seemed like a hidden gem of beautiful red rock canyons. She grew up in this area so was able to give a first hand perspective of what it was like growing up in the canyon. Melting snow run-off water was flowing through the wash that traverses the canyon floor and we had many crossings through the water in the jeep we rode in. It was very fun and cooling on a warm day. Viola have a good description of the pictographs, petroglyphs, and cliff dwellings we saw. The history in the canyon is mind boggling. This tour was very good for my husband who has limited mobility. The 3 hour tour went by way too fast. I highly recommend this tour by Beauty Way Jeep tours.

A big shout out to Lee at Beauty Way Jeep Tours. We completed our private tour today and I cannot say enough about it. It was 3+ hours, he picked us up at our hotel. We discussed the Navajo culture, viewed right from below several historic ruins, had the opportunity to ask numerous questions. Lee shared his experience as a local who grew up in the canyon. Taking a jeep tour is the best way to capture the magic of the canyon and to witness incredible cultural significance of this area. I highly recommend Beauty Way Jeep Tours!

Leander and his team worked so beautifully together in our caravan of four jeeps, each carrying one couple and a guide. There had been high water in the canyon for a couple of days and tours were suspended. Leander stayed in communication with us until it was safe to resume tours in the Canyon. Our tour lasted a total of four hours, and we made numerous stops to talk about ruins or pic graphs, or just the beauty of the canyon. The guides told us about their childhood growing up in the canyon and shared some of the Navajo culture and beliefs. And we felt completely safe with them as they were excellent drivers and some very demanding conditions going through high water and Sandy Shores. A highlight for us was when one of the guides chanted Navajo song and then played on his flute —absolutely magical. I highly recommend Beauty Way Tours and if we’re in the area again, will definitely schedule another tour with this wonderful team.

Emily, with Dream Way Tours, a local Navajo-owned company, made the experience so very special as she and family members still live in the Canyon. The beauty of the Canyon would make the private tour worth it, yet the canyon truly comes alive when stories are shared regarding the rich history, and the family as well as personal stories. Finally, riding through the canyon river and trails was amazing!!!! Highly recommend it!

We had two different tours with the owner and his father. They were absolutely wonderful. The father took us for an evening tour of the North canyon till dusk. The photography was magnificent. He joined right in with us. The next morning the owner, Leander, took us through the South canyon. Besides incredible views, he provided an excellent and passionate history of the Navajo tribe. All of us on the trip believe we understand their wonderful heritage. We deeply recommend this jeep tour company.

We completed a tour with Viola last week and it was amazing. She is very interactive and has lived in the canyon starting as a young child. She answered every question we had (and we had lots) and provide history about the canyon, the current, recent past and long past inhabitants . We were very glad we did the 5 hour tour as you really cannot appreciated the area in any less time. If they could do it I would have booked an 8 hour tour for sure. It was amazing! Thank you Beauty Way Jeep Tours!

James is an amazing Tour guide. He described the history of the place from the point of view of his life, growing up in his family in the canyon and from the point of view of the official archaeological european story. We came away with a completely new understanding of native life.

We went to see Canyon De Chelly and will return to get another Jeep tour with Leender at Beauty Way Jeep Tours. Not once did we feel like a tourist. It was as if a very knowledgeable friend immersed us in the Navajo culture while showing us the amazing beauty of Canyon De Chelly! We will be back for another tour and to continue to explore the Canyon and the culture.

Viola was great! She shared her personal story which included growing up in the canyon. The jeep was able to navigate all the in’s and out’s of the canyon.

The canyon is beautiful. It was a terribly windy day, would have appreciated more time out of the vehicle, but we saw amazing petroglyphs and our guide was informative.

Beauty Way Tours helped us after another tour company canceled our 9 AM tour at 9:10AM.. They were recommended to us at 10:30 AM. We called and they answered the phone and then arranged for a1:00PM private jeep tour that day! The views and scenery were breathtaking and the service was outstanding. Leander and his wife Elvira are small business owners who truly put the customers first. The cost is a bit higher but their vehicles are first class and service is outstanding. I highly recommend!

The history our guide Benny imparted to us, and the many wall art sights. He did a masterful job driving through less than optimal conditions.

I would highly recommend the private tour of Canyon de Chelly with Beauty Way Tours. Our guide Lee was incredibly knowledgable about the canyon, its current inhabitants, and its history. The tour was personalized based on our interests and Lee was willing and able to answer all of our questions. Lee and his family have a deep personal connection to the place, and I can't imagine a better guide.

Opens up a totally new perspective on Canyon de Chelly and takes you places that are accessible only to Navajo people. The Jeep ride was fun and thrilling as there was pretty deep water in places. All in all I would do it again, but I wish our driver had told us a little more about the history of the people who lived in the canyon as well as the geology.

I came here 10 yrs ago and came back with my kids for our Spring Break road trip! It did not disappoint! The jeep tour with Leandar was great! We got a history of the canyon and some insight into life of the locals. Going into the canyon is well worth it and you will not be disappointed with this tour! We plan to do it again next time we come back this way!

Our tour guide Lee of Beauty Way Tours took us on a fantastic information filled tour of Canyon De Chelly. He was able to relate the current Navajo experience with historical practices and family life. The time went by too quickly and I wish I could have hung out with him all day.
