The guide was very knowledgeable on Berlin history. Fat bikes good for town riding. Group of 14 suitable for fluent traffic.

Fantastic bike tour. Our guide Nick was fantastic. There was 4 of us joining a group of 6.very easy to do, my 81 year old Dad coped. But he does ride a bike occasionally. Very flat so easy. Well worth the money, so imformative and interesting

Guide was excellent and informative. Any questions he was asked he could answer in great detail. Little chilly that day and the pair of gloves offered was a nice touch

Great way to get your bearings on Berlins history. Simon the guide had a good way about him. A Brit who had lived in Germany for over 10 years and Berlin for 4 year, could answer any questions and happy to share more anecdotes about living in Berlin while cycling along. Our young adult three boys really enjoyed it as well. The tour was really well paced.

Berlin encourages biking more than most cities and is relatively flat. Fat Tire Tours is a bike shop with comfortable equipment in great condition. But the best part of the experience was our tour guide Thor, who spoke english well and had personally invested so much in learning history he enjoys sharing. He uses entertaining visual aids to augment the story. It was a highlight of my trip to Europe.

We took a private 3 hour bike tour as a family of 5 on our first morning of visiting Berlin. It was a super way to see the city and get our bearings. Thor was a fabulous guide - great with the children, sharing so many facts in a fun way. We were really impressed with how much knowledge was shared, nothing too much trouble and plenty of time for questions and discussion. The bikes were very easy to ride and the city is very bike friendly with plenty of routes. We saw most of the main sites and the hours flew by. I booked this tour through Viator in January for a very reasonable price. I received a message 48 hr before the activity to say the booking was cancelled… no explanation. This tour was part of a specific planned itinerary so I had a look on Tripadvisor and the same thing (time, day, provider) was available just significantly more expensive than my original booking. I decided to book and have a ‘discussion’ with Fat Tires before the tour started. I was advised by Fat Tires that they had nothing to do with the cancellation and that I should take it up with Viator/tripadvisor. The response I received from Viator is “Apologize on behalf of Viator for the inconvenience that this has caused you. I'm going to notate this matter on our end, don't worry. Rest assured that viator do not have any authority to cancel a tour without prior notice of the tour supplier or our customer.” I can only conclude that Fat Tires cancelled a long standing booking to increase the price at late notice therefore I cannot recommend them and would suggest caution in booking any tour through them. Neither did they have the integrity to own their decision to do so but instead had me waste my time taking it up with Viator (which is owned by the same company as Tripadvisor).

Nick was a very knowledgeable, friendly and happy guide, the bikes were easy to use and we had a great time riding around Berlin.

The whole tour was great and very interesting. The landmarks along with the history described by Nate was so informative and gave a fascinating insight into the history of Berlin.

The guide is very German despite being from another country. He shoots historical data like a machine gun. We learned a lot, specifically about the life during the Soviet era. Plus, it didn’t rain and the ride was easy.

Nate was a fantastic and very knowledgeable guide who is clearly passionate about the city and its history.

Brilliant start to a few days in Berlin. Guide Nate, (I think) was excellent and very knowledgeable. Excellent way to orientate yourself to landmarks. Kids also learnt more from this than the museums. Would do again!
