This tour was exactly what we were looking for! We wanted an efficient and smooth trip to see the gorillas up close, so we flew into Kigali (Rwanda) enabling us to see this amazing (and safe) country. However, Gorilla trekking in Uganda is both cheaper (~50% of permits in Rwanda) and offer multiple different opportunities to be sure you see them, but that does not mean you need to fly in and out of Uganda. Highly recommend flying to Kigali and driving the 2-3 hours across the border. Frena Adventures delivered on all metrics; airport pickup/drop off. Nice driving in a decent car, nice lodges with good food (catering for gluten intolerant meals). Our guide, Roland, made the many hours in the car feel safe and enjoyable. Thank you for everything - highly recommended for other tourists interested in Gorilla trekking!

The gorilla trekking trip went very smooth. Our tour guide Ronald came on time for pick up and the accommodation were very good. We enjoyed our tour with Frena adventures and would highly recommend them.

Despite a rocky start, the trip went very well. The guide Farouk did an excellent job and I would recommend him for any future tours.

We had a fantastic time in Uganda with our driver Ronnie, the gorilla trekking in Bwindi was just incredible, it was a real adventure and seeing the gorillas was such an touching experience. We then visited Kalinzu and saw chimps, colobus and blue and red tail monkeys, the forest is really beautiful. Finally we visited the Queen Elisabeth NP, and we saw so many animals, lions included! Ronnie and Frenadventure were very honest and serious, I have no complains and I'm glad we chose it. Overall I was really happy with the tour, and highly recommend it to anyone!

We flew from Nairobi to Rwanda and drove across to Uganda which was scenic and beautiful. We really enjoyed the whole experience, we were well-looked after and everything went smoothly with the transit across Rwanda and passing into Uganda. Our driver was attentive and followed the itinerary as planned. Do make sure you take plenty of Ugandan shillings (UGX) for all the tipping you are expected to do and if you want to buy drinks at the hotels (our hotels said they didn’t take cards!). As we were coming from living in Nairobi, we had thought we could withdraw UGX from the Kigali airport ATM (as one guide book had said) but alas no, so we ended up borrowing shillings from our guide which was awkward and wouldn’t have been necessary if we had been able to stop at one of the Ugandan ATMs en route. The trekking itself was excellent and the guides/trackers very professional. Do take a face mask which is required when you approach the gorillas, and some lightweight gloves for protection as the bushes are thorny in the forest, although you can buy these for a couple of dollars each at the starting point. We got extremely close to a whole troop and will take away memories to cherish. Thank you!

We landed at Entebbe, Uganda later than the plan originally had, but Apollo and Abraham tried to fit all the activities during the stay, and actually provided us all the itinerary and schedules we were supposed to have. Apollo was perfect in terms of speaking English. We had no problems sharing our thoughts on wonderful nature of Uganda and sometimes talk about our lives in Korea and Uganda. We shared so much things together as human-beings not as tourists and a guide. Gorilla trekking was worth that money, and so did Chimpanzee trekking. We saw marvelous forest and very different kinds of animals dwelling harmonious in one place. When passing through the Kazinga Channel, hundreds of hippos and alligators, even a pack of elephants welcomed us. Aside from eating packed lunch from the lodge, we spoke with Apollo that we want to try very local cuisine, and so we did. The most memorable moment is not one, but every single moment was precious and our family was living with uncountable happiness all time. I thank you very much Apollo, and dear Frena Adventures for supporting our first tour at Africa. Uganda will stay in our heart forever.

Gorilla trekking was incredible and our hotel stops in Bwindi and Bunyonyi were nice, clean and comfortable. Our driver, Farouk, was accommodating and allowed us to deviate from our set itinerary (we wanted to check out a tea plantation instead of a Kigali tour). Communication with Fred was also quick and easy. Our only suggestion would be for better organization in terms of specific locations - we were supposed to go to a viewpoint on the Twin Lakes but weren’t sure where that was. That being said, our driver ensured we still found a scenic viewpoint.

Frena were fantastic from start to finish. It was super easy to organise our trip and they always went the extra mile to help. Our driver Roland was brilliant. He was always prompt, kind, helpful, funny, informative and looked out for us. I would definitely suggest asking for him specifically! We often organise all the travel ourselves, but I'm so glad we went with Frena for Uganda. We wouldn't have seen nearly as much and it would have been really difficult to organise some of it.

I went on a gorilla tour in Uganda . It was the most beautiful experience of my life, three days with gorillas in Uganda , I had a awesome time. I'll never forget the beauty of the forests of Uganda. It was so beautiful , I want to live there for life but they refuse 🫢.

We had a wonderful time in the wild presence of the gorillas, this the most amazing time, Seeing gorillas in the Forest doing their daily activities it so great , these gentle apes are so great. We saw number of 11 members, with silver backs and young babies jumping from one tree to another. We had one hour with which gave us an opportunity to have Good photos in their presence. Our accommodation here was so amazing with wonderful staffs, broadbill Forest camp is a place to stay in for the the amazing stay in bwindi Forest. We proceeded to lake buyonyi, we an amazing place with beautiful sceneries and lots of birds. We did a conoe Ride on this lake and yes the waters are calm with great winds , Our safari was perfectly organized and we enjoyed every part of it from start the end. Thanks to our guide and the company for making this possible and enjoful to us. Highly recommended them to us for your gorilla tours.

I went on a gorilla tour in Uganda with my wife. It was the best experience of my life, three days with gorillas in Uganda I had a great time. I'll never forget the beauty of the forests of Uganda. It was so beautiful.

Wow. We have a very nice experience with my brother with this company. So in january 2020 Im searching for a nice gift for my brother then I found this tourims company and I think my brother will love this. So I decided to go there with him and he really loves it and happy than what im expecting. Also the tour guide is very helpful and very nice guy he always make as laugh. Doing this trip was a life changing experience for me and my lovely wife, getting up close with nature is something money can't buy and we will forever treasure the moments we had with the crew and tour guides, and I promise to come back and bring my family and friends with me, thank you for this wonderful time we had.
