Our guide Rene was fantastic, he was so enthusiastic and knowledgeable, and knew all the good spots to take photos! The drivers were very professional and helpful and the vehicles seemed to be well kept and in good condition for the environment they were in.

We had a great experience and fun photos with Marvon, who was a careful driver and friendly guide. Great value for money, we had booked through an agency.

I would recommend this experience. The views were amazing and so different every day. The company came to pick us up early in the morning at our bus station. I asked for vegetarian option and I had something at every meal. Prices are very correct and the night spots also. We also had a really nice driver called Marvin, careful on the road and very kind.

The salt flats were amazing and getting to see the sunset was an unexpected bonus. We weren’t able to stay at the salt hotel due to the water on the salt flats but the accommodations in Uyuni were superb - very clean and comfortable. The rest of the trip into the mountains was a lot of time driving but amazing views the whole way and a really unique experience. Our guide taught us a lot about Bolivia and the local flora and fauna and knew all the good photo spots. However, BRING SNACKS the amount of time between meals is quite long so recommend bring extra snacks and water for all days of the trip. Super worth it, this trip was amazing!

The Uyuni salt flats were incredible, and this was a very good tour to do it on. I booked with Salty Desert Aventours based on recommendations, and I'm glad I did. The guide and driver were excellent, we went to so many amazing places, and it was overall a great experience. The accommodation and food were pretty average (and some of our group got food poisoning, which I hear is unfortunately common on these tours), but I guess you're limited in what you can do out on the salt flats. I'd heard mixed reviews about some other tours and drivers, but this one was really good.

The tour was really amazing. Marvin is an excellent guide, show us amazing spots and shared rich informations about the Uyuni region and also about the Bolivia. We stayed in two hostels, the first one was in Uyuni and have a good structure, private bathroom and shower with hot water. The hostel are very simple but sufficiently for a night, also have a hot shower but we needed to pay an extra fee. The food during the tour was all provide by the agency, was simple, but very good. The car was a 4x4 Toyota Land Cruiser, in good condition and comfortable also in last line (in small distances), our group organized ourselves to change seats in each stop). One more time, thanks Marvin for gave us a sweet memories about the tour and the Uyuni region. Hope back in another opportunity to se the salt desert in dry season.

Really nice english speaking guide, showed us the best places and explained a lot (and took amazing pictures!!). We enjoyed the tour a lot and can highly recommend it.

Pros: - Extensive tour that covers many amazing spots - Marco was an excellent guide with a very good knowledge of the desert and good English. He planned everything well so that we can catch sunrise in the hot pools. He even drove us to the bus terminal in the end, not to miss our bus to the next destination. - Lucio is a great character, a very entertaining guide - Good food Cons: - the tour was way too slow and wasted too much time on the first day and we arrived to the mirror effect only at sunset, completely missing any good photo opportunity. We also could have spent more time taking funny photos, instead of wasting so much time at the other locations. - Bad quality accomodations. The company's hotel in Uyuni wasn't up to standards, with not very clean bed sheets, missing towels and a toilet that wasn't flushing. There were very similar issues with the hotel in the desert. - The company 4x4 car wasn't equipped with the necessary tools. We had to wait for help when we had a flat tire

I was so pleasantly surprised with this tour. Of all the tours I’ve done in the last 4 months, this one felt like it was worth the money fully and we were constantly experiencing new things. Our guide Beimar was SO thoughtful, so knowledgeable, and very communicative. I always knew what was on the agenda. Overall, fantastic. Do not hesitate to book!

Had the best 3 days ever! The tour is incredible, you see so much. Way better than what they advertise in my opinion. Our tour guide, Miguel was great, he was super informative and really took care of us. We saw all the spots without many tourists there which makes such a difference. Great food as well.

I spent three days in the salt flats with my travel group and our driver/guide, Jorge and it was amazing! I booked online before arriving in Bolivia. I’m sure it would have been cheaper to book the day-of and negotiate, but I was on a tight schedule and knew I wanted to travel with Salty Desert. A rep met me at the bus station in the wee hours of the morning and took me to a cafe where I ate breakfast and charged my phone for a few hours. I’m an intermediate Spanish speaker and was able to understand most of my Spanish speaking tour. I was also a solo female traveler and had to share a room with a solo male traveler (I did not expect this but I was fine with it) but you may want to ask them about room sharing ahead of time if this is a concern. The second night, I stayed with three others (which I expected). I ended the tour in Chile and the transfer happened without issues.

Great tour. Our guide Luis was fantastic and made sure we had a good time and got good pics. The landscapes are unlike anything we’ve seen before. The salar, the geysers, and the laguna negra were highlights.

Amazing trip but as a few others have reported we did have some issues along the way. Our driver/guide was inexperienced and is I believe no longer working with Salty Desert following our feedback. He was great with the photos on day 1 but seriously unwell on day 2, we think he may have been taking something he shouldn't on the first evening in the salt hotel (which was fabulous). Coupled with that we had serious problems with the jeep on day 2 of which he was in denial - it was left to us to flag down other vehicles to help. We limped into the hotel on night 2 which was rather basic and they hadn't reserved enough rooms for all of us. After much protest we had a different driver/guide on day 3 who was brilliant. Being Spanish speakers we had chosen a Spanish speaking tour and we had a lovely group of people all with some Latin connection. But we didn't realise that actually they keep the most experienced guides for the English-speaking groups.

We had a fantastic experience with Marco on our 3D tour. The scenery was incredible and we couldn't fault the experience. Our guide Marco really went the extra mile to make sure we had a great time. Wow, just amazing. My partner and I signed up for the 3D/2N salt flats tour as a group of 6, and it was better than we could ever have imagined! Our guide Marco (Markus) was incredible, and went above and beyond at every opportunity to ensure we had the best experience. From the amazing photos he took, to all the knowledge and history about various landmarks and tourist attractions, he truly made all of our groups experience one of a kind. Alongside the Salt Flats, we saw so many amazing sights on this trip, including a number of beautiful lagoons, flamingos, volcanoes, lakes, desert, sunrises over the hot springs - honestly we loved each and every stop on this 3 day tour. I cannot recommend this company and Marco (Markus) highly enough. If you’d like an incredible tour of this beautiful part of Bolivia, do not hesitate to book with this company! You are guaranteed to have the BEST time 🫶🏻

Groberts was such an amazing guide and we had the funnest few days as a group! He is extremely knowledgeable, entertaining and the best photographer. We had such an incredible time seeing some of the most beautiful places - couldn't recommend more!

Absolutely incredible through and through. I am still in awe at the breathtaking views and sights we saw. It was just sensational. Everything was so perfectly planned as well. From meals to timing, to time at the view points, to time at the hot springs and sunset. The group sizes are perfect - 6 people per van along with a tour guide. Our tour guide BETO was the absolute absolute best. I cannot begin to describe what a perfect addition he was to my experience. He was helpful, so attentive and went above and beyond for our group. We had such an amazing time thanks to him. It was an absolute adventure from start to finish. Such great memories. This man deserves a raise because wow he’s one of the most incredible and genuine guides I’ve ever had and he works so goddamn hard. I absolutely would recommend doing the 3 days instead of 2 because you get to drive much deeper into the desert and see things that really are unique to Bolivia. It’s a once in a lifetime experience. My so far favorite thing I’ve ever done on my travels.
