My parents, husband I arranged a three-week trip to Morocco with Maroc Expedition Travel. It wasn't the normal desert trip they focus on, but a custom trip to create a vacation of a lifetime. We worked closely with Yousef to design our itinerary and he provided some great suggestions to ensure we visited the best of Morocco. The Riads we stayed at were beautiful and the architecture, history and culture were exciting to see and experience. The only minor complaint was our driver/guide not being fluent in English although Mohammed did a great job making our trip memorable and was very kind and protective of my mother which was adorable!!

Everything is nice. The driver is friendly. He explained the history and the architacture really well. He even took us to his home. The donkey in his house is so cute. Only the desert is cold. There’s no heater in the camp so wear as much as you can.

To better understand this kind of activity and before booking it is important to understand what you are looking for. We chose the company for the excellent reviews online and it is indeed reliable and provides email feedback. Pick up from Riad was on time, the van (private superior tour) was comfortable and the driver was friendly, he provided some insights on places and aspects of moroccan and berber lifestyle (even though this is not a guided tour) and drove really good. However, the tour has a clear "touristic" and commercial side. A lot of time is wasted visiting so called cooperatives that are actually shops without any interest and the restaurants are tourist traps with the worst food had in Morocco with overpriced fixed menus. These stops looks like mandatory and reduce the time available to visit interesting places (it is a long drive and the schedule is tight). The experience in the desert is of course breathtaking, the luxury camp is wonderful except for the food. In conclusion the tour is a good choice if you are looking for someone driving you to take pictures in famous places and have some insights from a local driver, at the cost of wasting time in shops that you would have never visited by your choice. Considering that all lunches and beverage are excluded the value for money could be better. Known all that, the company is a good choice. If you want to really discover this area of Morocco and enjoy a personal travel, probably better rent a car.

It has been an incredible trip full of surprises: the cherry on the cake was undoubtly the time spent in the berber camp. Both the trip with the camels and the atvs are experiences people should do at least once in their lives. The silence in the desert at night is something impossible to describe. You must try it by yourself. About the whole trip, we were lucky to find Ghassan, our driver, who was very reliable and friendly. He taught us lots of things: without him, we would have skipped a lot of beautiful places, stories and curiosities. Highly recommended.

We were searching for an authentic and private experience to getting trought local traditions. We found a berber guide that showed to us his country and his culture. Ghassan helped us understanding berber culture and he took us is lovely places like Telouet palace and in a walking in Dardes valley that we will never forget. Going in the desert in Erg Chabbi is a wonderful experience and camels are really nice and funny. Quad aren't so amazing but I appreciated them. One thing: the standard camp is really similar to the luxury one, so you can book it without regrets.

Amazing trip shared with wonderful people. During this trip you not only visit beautiful places but also have the chance to learn about Berber’s culture and tradition. Our driver and guide, Ghassan, was the best. He’s very friendly, patient and experienced. By far one of the best experiences of my life.

The experience was one of the best of our life. My girlfriend and I have had a great time, the places we visited are marvellous and the desert trip is wonderful. Ghassn, our guide, was the best guide we could have ever asked for, very professional, competent and friendly! He explained us the history of berber culture and historical sites. We recommend the quad experience because even if is not included it's really worthed.

It was pretty hard for us to find a desert tour that was not a huge tourist trap, as many of them are. Lots of companies have fake reviews which makes the task really difficult. After a thorough research we found this company, and it was indeed a great choice! We did the group tour (not the private one), which was 150 EUR per person. I booked directly from their website. On the first day a person comes with a van and picks you up with the rest of the group to start the trip. An important fact is that I booked the tour in English, but we were put into the tour in Spanish (possibly because there was a large group of people for the Spanish tour and no one for the tour in English). This was alright for me because I speak Spanish but my girlfriend was kind of lost. Anyway the language it's not that important because the "guided" parts are very few, there is not much talking from the guides. Fortunately the group we had was amazing, we had a lot of fun together and I think that actually makes the trip way better. The coming back (which is a 10-hour drive) was really easy thanks to the good vibes the group had (we were playing music on the van's stereo, dancing and singing a lot). But that's just a matter of luck. The stops along the trip are for eating and for taking pictures. There is no explanation whatsoever of where you are or about the history. The places to eat are the only aspect that can be considered a "tourist trap" as the prices are quite high for Morocco (in Marrakech you can have dinner by 4 EUR, while in this places you spend at least 10 or 12). Everything else was amazing. The hotel in which we spent the first night was really good, and also all the dinners provided. The desert tour is INCREDIBLE, and the night at the camp as well. We booked the Standard Camp (not the Superior one), which doesn't have air conditioning. Also, with the Standard you have to carry your belongings yourself on the camel (with the Superior one you could take a bigger bag because they take it to the camp for you). Anyway we didn't need the air conditioning at all, as the temperature was fine at night. Just remember to bring A LOT of cash with you, as everything is paid in cash (the food, the bottles of water, the souvenirs, etc.). Each bottle of water costs around 1.5 EUR. I believe that exchanging 75 EUR (around 750 Dirham) is enough for the 3 days per person, and if you have some money left you can exchange it back or buy some nice things in the market back in Marrakech. I would totally recommend this tour, everyone participating in it was super kind and the organization was flawless. I typically don't write reviews but I felt that this one was necessary to counter the fact that lots of companies have fake reviews and keep attracting tourists with those shady methods. Don't hesitate to do your trip with Maroc Expedition Travel, you won't regret it!

We had a great time on our Civatitis tour! I booked this tour because a friend had already done the same tour and she also had a positive experience. Our driver was Musti and he was great! He was caring and attentive and a good driver. There were only 3 of us so we had the whole car to ourselves. The car was clean and spacious. The landscapes were beautiful. On the first day, we got to see a traditional berber village and drive through the High Atlas Mountains. We stopped for lunch around noon at Aït Ben Haddou and after lunch, we were able to explore for about an hour. We stayed in a hotel the first night. The hotel staff were friendly and welcoming. The second day, we left at 9 am. We made fewer stops. We got to see the largest oasis in Morocco. We got to stop and try on traditional dresses and turbans. The people at the shop were friendly and didn’t pressure you to buy anything, unlike the vendors in Marrakech or Fès. They even offered to do henna for free! We arrived at the hotel around 4 pm and we started the camel tour around 5 pm. We rode the camels for about an hour and a half before stopping to take some pictures and watch the sunset over the dunes. The sand dunes were breathtaking. After the sunset, we took the camels the rest of the way to the berber camp. The tents were large and spacious. We had dinner (the cheese eggplant dish was so good!). Afterwards, they gave us a traditional berber drum show and they had us get up and dance. We were able to clearly see the stars. The next morning, we woke up around 5 am to see the sunrise. We had breakfast and we left on either our quads or camels. We didn’t make many stops on the way back but we were all so tired that we just slept anyways. We arrived back in Marrakech around 6:30 pm. Musti dropped us off at our riads and that’s the end of the tour! I highly recommend booking this tour!

I had an amazing experience with Maroc Expedition Travels. The Sahara desert was absolutely beautiful and we were very comfortable in our desert camp. The food at the camp wasn't amazing but I was there for the desert anyway. The feeling of seeing the sunset and sunrise was unforgettable. The drive over the High Atlas Mountains was also a highlight as the villages were so picturesque. The days involved a lot of driving but Musti was great with giving us lots of stops and keeping us informed on what was around us. I felt like I learnt a lot, We also bonded over our love of music from the Sahara Desert region and let me know of other artists I should listen to. Would definitely recommend!

What an experience! Our tour started off by meeting our expert guide Mustapha Ouassou at our Riad in Marrakech for our three day desert tour in Merzouga. The drive from Marrakech to Merzouga is a bit long but we had some great stops along the way where Mustapha explained the background and history not only of the site but of also the locals and their culture. Some of the stops included Bin Hadou Kasbah, multiple view points in the High Atlas/Anti Atlas Mountains, Moroccan movie sets/production sites, Dades Valley, the Goudges du Toudra, and many other view points and of course the Sahara! Pros: 1. Expert tour guide (Mustapha Ouassou) who spoke fluent Berber, Arabic, Spanish, French, and English 2. Great stops and views along the way to the camp. 3. Great food and restaurants along the way. 4. Accommodation on the first night of the trip was 5 start. The food and hotel team were super friendly and great to be around. 5. The accommodation in Azawad Camp was really good. Our room had all the amenities. 6. Azada Camp food was really good. 7. All the camels were in great shape and look like they had been taken care of very well. Cons: 1. Long drive but it was not bad with all the great stops and activities to break up the drive. Overall, I can’t say enough good things about the experience and I would highly recommend Mustapha and this tour to anyone who wants to learn about and experience the many thing that this beautiful culturally super diverse country has to offer.

Rashid was an exceptional guide, providing us a truly unique experience. He made sure we were always taken care of and comfortable, and never complained when we asked to stop (which was often). Bring your dongle to play music in the car! He let us blast our wide variety of music. We had great time! We saw so much in our 4 day trek. some highlights included visiting the kasbahs, eating delicious food, riding camels in the desert, watching the sunrise over the Sahara, and enjoying the endless picturesque landscapes across morocco.

It was an amazing experience. The night in the desert was very special and the camel ride to the camp was also incredible. We also booked the quad ride and we will never forget the feeling of driving the quad through the dunes of the Erg Chebbi desert. It was a trip to repeat and we wanted to thank our driver Musti, who took care of us and made the breaks we needed. We are waiting for you in Spain my friend!

We did the 3 day merzouga desert tour with Karim, and I have to say I don't think it could have been better in any way. Karim was amazing: funny, talkative, educational and just generally warm. His humour and general demenour kept us laughing and happy throughout. The tour itself was amazing, we managed to fit a dozen unique and fascinating things into such a small time frame, it was so worth the money. Nevermind how beautiful the desert itself was.

5 star experience! My mum and I (2 female travellers) had an unforgettable and tremendous trip with Moroc Expedition Travel. Karim N'Kob was our driver and guide for 3 day desert adventure from Marrakech to Merzouga. He truly made the experience one of the most memorable we've ever had. He was a very good driver who was knowledgeable and had a fantastic sense of humour. He made a long journey pass quickly with excellent conversation and lots of fascinating stops. We saw incredible landscapes and Karim made sure we were able to see and have a taste of authentic Morocco. When we reached the desert we had a beautiful and luxurious text and excellent food. Despite being cloudy - which is very rare - we enjoyed a exciting camel ride and some traditional berber music around a fire. The accommodation and transport to the desert was also to a very high standard. We would highly recommend this trip and our guide for any travellers looking for a unique, exciting and unforgettable experience! Can't say enough good things about it! If you have the time it's definitely worth doing ☺️

Mustapha, the trip guide is great! We took the three day trip from Marrakech to Merzouga and it was an awesome experience visiting places such as Ait Ben Haddou and the Merzouga desert with almost no turists! All the crew uses face mask and they are nice and professional. I'd recoomend it 100%. Big hug to everyone and a special one to the camels Luigi and Miky :)

It was our first time in Morroco and we were more than satisfied with this super organized trip. Our guide Mehdi helped us know Morroco and its people as much as possible. He was always on time and we never felt insecure about our trip. His suggestions helped us enhance our 4-days trip as we saw as much as possible and he was super funny and helpful with whatever we needed. The car provided by the company was very comfortable and exactly what we needed for 5 people and all our baggage. The best part for me was the dessert and all the local people you get to see during this trip. We managed to see Morroco outside Medina and Marrakech and that was really a unique experience. I cannot think of anything I would change in the trip organized by Maroc Expedition Travel and I will definitely travel with them again my next time in Morroco.

This was worth the money and then some - did the 3 day trip from Marrakech to Fes via Mergouza, and we were escorted by Karim, who was a brilliant and entertaining guide. He chatted both Spanish and English and stopped off at interesting places - and didn't force us to buy things from his friends. He came out to the desert too and we had such a good night to remember with our small group under the stars, singing and dancing round the campfire.

El resumen del viaje es: espectacular. Tanto el camino como el final en el desierto, se disfrutan mucho, y más con un conductor/guía tan amable y simpático como Hamid Oukhadjou. Nos fue explicando todo, y estuvo genial. Gracias por todo
