This is an excellent tour in Alaska! Our family wanted a smaller group than the Princess Cruise options, and this tour and the guides were perfect!

It DOES NOT get better than this!!!! These guys are truly amazing!!!! We will not book with anyone else!!! I have sent every one of my clients to them!!!!! It was truly magical!!!!!

JWT whale tours was an amazing experience with the family. They had an amazing, knowledgable staff. This tour stands out from the others due to its smaller boat, allowing for an intimate experience that brings you up close to the majestic whales. I would recommend them 100%!

We visited Juneau in October 2023. Due to weather, they had to cancel the whale watching portion of the trip. They dropped us off at Mendenhall Glacier, and when they came back to pick us up and take us to the whale watching part of the tour, they informed us that it was cancelled due to weather. They refunded us the entire amount! So that part was good, just disappointed that the trip was cancelled.

Very nice tour. Well worth it. We did get to see a number of whales. boat was comfortable and crew was very accommodating. One issue, stop saying that "what we saw today was unusual". I've spoken to others who have taken whale tours and they are being told the same thing!

We got to see LOTS of whales. We had heard that fall was a great time to see whales and it was! This tour Group, TJ and Tye, were great. I would recommend them to anyone wanting to go on a Whale Watching Tour. Thanks JWT!

We can't say enough about JWT Tours. Astrid, Tyler & TJ were FANTASTIC! We saw the Famous Flame & some "Oreo's". They were all very accommodating, Kind, & Knowledgeable. I took advantage for a late booking on the 3.5 hour Whale Tour at Juneau. There was only about 17 of us on the catamaran. Boat was well equipped with opening side windows.It was well organised. Preliminary safety briefing by the organising young woman was informative. The young local skipper clearly new the waters and where to find the whales and other water creatures. We were sightng whales very soon after leaving the dock and kept them in sight for most of the cruise. The area the Skipper took us to was manly cruised by smaller craft the larger vessels were much further offshore. We stopped to recover crab pots for a local research project. Overall an excellent experience which clearly met the intent of Whale Watching.

We saw about 6 whales and stayed with them as they played. It's very good to be in a small boat with fewer people was there is better chance to have a proper view. There is nothing I would change and would definitely recommend this operator.

TJ & Tyler were very knowledgeable on the ocean and sea life. I appreciated the care they took in the laws related to distance to the whale and respecting them. We had the pleasure of having a PERFECT day with beautiful weather eve though as we started I was unsure. There was SO much fog it was difficult to see. However, it quickly cleared as we made our way out and about. We saw "whale soup" as they called it. There were about 15 whale that we were mesmerized watching. A big THANK YOU to them for the incredible once in a lifetime experience.

Awesome experience. The crew was fantastic and the boat was like new, very functional with a deck that was accessible all the way around.

The folks that run this tour is "TOP NOTCH". They were knowledgeable about the whales, we learned a lot. The smaller group was great, we could ask questions easily and was more personable. Tyler and JT (I think i got them right) knew where to go and we saw so many whales. Highly recommend them.

The number of whales we actually saw was mind blowing particularly the one with the baby. The 2 guides, Astral and J? were brilliant, friendly, knowledgable and helpful.

We were first taken quite a long way out to where there were reports of Orca sightings. We saw the fin of a male orca but then paralleled the course of a female orca and had superb full body views. On the return journey we encountered a humpback whale which we followed for maybe 20 minutes with many sightings, including of its tail fin. The crew were very friendly and knowledgeable and clearly experts at getting the best views.

This is great whale watching tour! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The boat was just the right size, and even though it was raining we saw whales.

Tyler and TJ took us on a small 20 people boat with a wrap around deck so we could easily have the best view of the show from the outside, or enjoy a 360 view from the inside. And what a show! The crew abides by the regulatory distances from wildlife all whilst getting us the best view possible of the multiple encounters happening all around us, with multiple whales breaching, bubble net feeding, calves slapping their tails... truly magical
