I went to Mikumi National park on a trip with my son and it was a great experience. Mikumi Holiday Safari's planned my game drive and made the whole experience very memorable. I travelled alone with my son who is 3 years old and they made sure they took great care of him. Our Driver Nasary was amazing. He was very knowledgeable, shared relevant information and engaged with my son so much. If you go to Mikumi, I would 100% recommend Mikumi Holiday Safaris and ask for Nasary!

My experiences with this company and especially Benson are really super! Through a contact I became aware of this safari operator. Since I am currently professionally involved in Tanzania, my time was unfortunately very limited. I told Benson my wishes and he made it possible in an uncomplicated way. I was picked up in Dar in the morning and taken by transfer to Mikumi National Park. Including lunch everything worked out fine and I arrived at the park around afternoon. There I met Benson and we started directly with a safari tour until sunset, which we watched at a great place in the park. The next day we started early in the morning and stayed the whole day (again including lunch) in the park looking for animals. Through Benson's years of experience, he always found the right spots and so he made it possible that I could marvel at all the animals (including numerous lions, elephants and giraffes, even leopards ) during my time there - even up close. In addition, he could always tell a lot about the park and about the animals and answer all questions. The accommodation at TanSwiss was also perfectly fine and the transfer back to Dar also worked without any problems. All in all I can only recommend Benson. Great guide, mega expertise and he knows the park like the back of his hand, which allowed me to discover all the animals. Organization problem-free and uncomplicated, the prices are fair in comparison. At this time of year I would also recommend to choose the time of the safaris very early in the morning and / or at sunset - here you see the most animals.

I had the opportunity to go on the three-day safari from Dar es Salaam with Mikumi Holiday Safari last week and I highly, highly recommend it. Benson was super helpful and organized the trip for me at the last minute. He was really responsive when we communicated and took care of all the details – even transportation I needed outside of the 3-days of the trip. Benson was my guide during the safari and was really nice company. I learned a lot from him about the animals we saw, but also about life in Tanzania. Benson arranged for me to stay at Camp Bastian just outside the park which was a lovely spot. Charming, nice pool, good vibe to the place. As for the safari experience itself, it was amazing. I saw so many animals. We got up close to several lions and giraffes, saw herds of elephants, impalas, zebras and more. As I said, I highly recommend Mikumi Holiday Safari and dealing with Benson specifically.

This was a fantastic safari at Mikumi National Park. My husband and I visited for 2 nights staying at Vuma Hills Tented Camp. Benson at Mikumi Holiday Safaris was our safari guide and driver. The whole trip was booked through Benson and the whole process was so easy. Benson took care of everything from start to finish. He had us picked up from the hotel and dropped back to the airport in Dar es Salaam. He is a very knowledgable guide and shared great information with us along the way. You can tell he has a passion for wildlife and animals. It is also obvious that he wants to make this safari experience the best it can possibly be for his clients. Many times on safari he would spot something far away in the distance (that we couldn't see) and race all the way there to allow for dream experiences to be made with the animals. He is very patient and will wait for these perfect and very memorable moments to be happen for us.

What an experience!! It's a long way to arrive from Dar to Mikumi, but when you enter the park the expectation is so well satisfied. Lions, zebras, giraffes, wildebeasts, impalas, elephants, vultures, birds... ! Wow!! They also prepared a romantic table for us for a glass of wine during the sunset next to the hyppo pool...Magic! The accomodation was in the Camp Bastian just outside the park, we had a super large indipendent cottage and the atmosphere was so suggestive, with low light in the evening and trees and flowers everywhere Thanks to our driver Benson "the legend" and to the younger Daniel who saw also the animals best hidden and explained to us everything. This was amazing experience with 2 Bensons. The younger one is the organization mastermind and will arrange anything you like, and the other one is a living legend! Very experienced guy whose sharp eye caught everything. We saw all the animals and were always the first ones to come to the spot. But Ben was not selfish so he called all the other tour guides to tell them all the best animal locations. And he did that more than few times. Surely recommend! Borna & Nikolina

We had an amazing 3 day trip to Mikumi on our honeymoon! Everything was organized above our expectations throughout the trip. The driver was driving safely through crazy roads, the Camp Bastian was the best place to stay with amazing food and the highlight for us was for sure our guide Benson! He is a fantastic safari guide and does absolutely everything to make sure you have an unforgettable safari in Mikumi. Organising welcoming drink with Maasai dance, private lunch and sunset wine. We saw all the main animals in the park and learned a lot of facts about them. I would say this is the absolute best trip you can get!! You can see that Benson is absolutely loving his job and doing it amazingly!

Myself and my girlfriend did a two day safari with Benson as our tour guide. It was a fantastic experience. We got to see all the wildlife we hoped for (Lions, Giraffes, Hippos, Leopards, Elephants and many more). As well as that, we were brought to visit the Maasai tribe, an ethnic group inhabiting an area close by the safari. Benson went above and beyond for us and even surprised us by bringing us to an open plain in the middle of the safari for sunset. To make this experience even more memorable, Benson brought a bottle of wine for us to enjoy. I would highly recommend booking a safari with Benson at Mikumi safaris with Benson who was fantastic!!

We have just finished a 3 day safari trip with Benson which was absolutely amazing. The trip was organised brilliantly from start to finish. Benson is such a nice guy and a fantastic safari guide. We saw every animal (lion, giraffe, elephant, buffalo, leopards etc) on the safari which was great and then Benson surprised us with a bottle of wine while watching the sunset which topped off the whole day. Camp Bastian is a lovely place to stay with good food. I would highly recommend booking a trip with Benson at Mikumi holiday safaris.

Thanks our best Guide Bensone, who was able to make for us anything We want and nothing was problem, it was really amazing adventure. He showed us with his very cool open car so many animals. All we wanted to see! Giraffe, zebra, Buffalo, lion, elephant, big big snake eating impala, impala, pumba, hippo, many birds and many others. Thank you Bensone again!

We did the 3 day trip leaving from Zanzibar with 1 full day of safari and also visiting a Maasai village. Benson is really easy going and is doing is best to satisfy his guests. We spent a wonderful time seeing all kind of animals Mikumi Park has to offer. We also enjoyed our stay at Camp Bastian, the staff is really professional.

We chose 3 days, 2 nights Mikumi national park safari with pick up and drop back to Dar es Salaam and it was great, we saw lions, hyena, elephants take a bath and many more, everything was on time, totally recommend

We went on a 2 day private Safari in Mikumi with 2 little children. Thanks to our guide Benson we were able to see all the animals in the park, he tries his best to look for the animals. Also he knows a lot of information about the animals and answered all our questions. You can tell that he loves his job! Our lodge was really nice, clean and spacious. The food was also very tasty. Everything is correctly organized from pick up at your hotel to drop off. Also very child friendly!

We loved the safari at Mikumi park. Saw the majority of animals in the first two hours. The hippo pond was our favorite spot. We loved our guide as well, he was kind and very informative about the animals, plants and answered all of our questions. I hope we will do this trip again in the future. I highly recommend this to anyone visiting Zanzibar, it will add a very different experience to your trip.
