Exceptional tour. Our guide, Dara, was personable, interesting and a master of history! He was easy to understand in a group of approx 15.

I expected history. I didn't expect that the first 45 mins would be in the middle of the pedestrian triangle in front of Trinity and the bank. We changed locations three times but didnt move more than 30 meters. Walking was on the main thorough road with busses and trains. Next stop just over the river, again in the middle of the intersection. Not the best experience of the city. What I LOVED... our guide was very knowledgeable and vocally projected over the din. But he didn't walk and talk, had on a back shirt and black backpack. With 19 people in our group it was difficult to keep track of him. I have used Viator in cities around the world, this one was a disappointment.

Great historical view of Ireland and Dublin. We really appreciated the commentary art each of the historical stops. Thanks for a great morning.

This was more of a history talk than a walking tour. Our guide was young, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and loud enough to be heard clearly over Dublin traffic. He gave long talks separated by walks to several key sites. I had anticipated more sightseeing, but was very happy with the tour. We came away with a great orientation to Irish history from the Stone Age to the Vikings to the long and troubled relationship with England.

Our tour guide, Donal, was fabulous. It was clear that he knows his city well and his enthusiasm and knowledge were delightful. Do not miss the opportunity to see Dublin through his eyes.

This tour was an excellent introduction to Dublin. Our guide Colm’s passion for and knowledge of Dublin were clearly apparent. Two of the tour highlights were a visit to rhe Castle Gardens, a gem that we would have overlooked and Colm’s singing. The walk was very nicely paced and we learned and saw so much on this tour.

Our tour guide made us an incredible tour, he knew a lot interesting details and was really good in pointing out the historical important moment in a way that for a foreign person, it was really good to understand. He had a good feeling for the group and I apreciated that he sang some traditional and political songs to show better how Thomas D. argument that poetry and songs are more important as marches and demonstrations which where dangerous for a lot of people. I think it was the best tour I ever had as a tourist (being myself a historian).

Jody … our tour guide was excellent speaker and has so much passion and knowledge of the history of Ireland. Two hours went by so fast and we learned a lot about Irish history in short time. After the tour, we were able to relate to lots of tourist attractions and statues with the history.

The tour was expertly lead by a very knowledgeable guide who gave a synopsis of Irish history in the two allotted hours. Recommended as an introduction to any first visit to Dublin

Wasn’t able to attend. Security at meeting spot told us that all tours were canceled as there was an active protest at the university and we couldn’t pass through to attend. Money not refunded

I wish that I could recommend this walking tour but I cannot. My husband and I were so looking forward it. The guide started off fine with some objects to pass around, some illustrations, and stories. However, he quickly lost his audience when he switched to just divulging information. He did not find connections with his audience for the material being discussed. The guide was very nice, patient, personable and learned everyone’s name. However, tourists have little background knowledge of the subject and a good guide finds ways to interest and engage their audience. Folks were wondering off and having trouble paying attention. The same day, we took a tour of the jail and the guide there asked the group questions and presented the information in a way that made us curious and wanting to learn more. I would not suggest spending 2 hours on this tour unless the reviews indicate an improvement. With a limited amount of time in Dublin and most sites closing at 5 pm, you have to choose carefully.

Really informative tour, so much information! Our guide Jody was enthusiastic and engaging. I was with my 77 year old Mum and the walking pace was not too fast and suitable for all walking speeds which was fantastic. Highly recommend.

My friend and I took a walking tour and had a most wonderful guide in Daragh. He spoke loudly and clearly so that all 20+ of us had no problem hearing him. Daragh was extremely knowledgeable on Irish history and truly answered every question asked in great detail. If you love learning about history, this tour is well worth your time. We stopped at seven or eight spots that weren’t very far from one another at all. I agree with another posting that there was a lot of standing and listening but Daragh was so captivating and passionate that I didn’t mind. And he gave recommendations for food and music in town!

great tour, but more like a standing tour rather than a walking tour. Our guide was super, really knowledgeable, but don't expect to get your steps in on this tour.

Jody was a great storyteller and clear communicator during our tour - thoroughly recommended! The meeting place is the base of the Henry Grattan statue opposite the front gates of Trinity College - the provided instructions for meeting could be clearer.
