My husband and I had a wonderful morning kayaking the marsh with Max. He was an excellent guide and we enjoyed our time with him hearing about the area.

We went on a Sunset paddle with our out of town family. Will (WeeWoo) was our tour guide. HE WAS AWESOME. His high energy and passion for fun was very evident. But a deep love and respect for the lowcountry gave us an excellent education. We thoroughly enjoyed our time on the water. We saw a dolphin pod, sharks, oystercatcher, cannon ball jelly fish, an osprey nest with chicks, and a multitude of shore birds and the random mullet jumping. It was a wonderful way to spend some time communing with nature. We highly recommend it!!

This is a fun experience!! I would highly recommend it. Our guide, Max, was fun and knowledgeable:). I wish we would have seen more wildlife, but they don’t have control over that. The weather was perfect for the 9 am departure

Really fun learning about the Charleston ecosystem. The kayaking was fun and challenging, and really great for semi experienced kayakers. The tour leader was friendly, informative, and made it fun!

Excellent quality equipment, friendly staff that worked as a team. Good training provided to all so they knew how to safely operate the kayak. We had a knowledgeable and friendly tour guide (Katie) who pointed out wildlife on the tour and described the ecosystem. Beautiful area and a relaxing two-hour tour. Well worth it.

Meghan had excellent knowledge of the marsh; the plant and marine life. She took by a shrimp vessel and described the food and old fishing stories in the area. Not too hard but my husband and I shared a kayak for two.

Beautiful 2 hour of easy kayaking near sunset. We had top notch kayaks and Max was an informative guide about the entire area.

Fabulous, don't miss it! We went on a cold and windy day, but this didn't dampen the spirits of the guides or the group. The women who organize and guide the tour were careful about safety and very passionate about the environment, as well as informed about birds, oysters, and shorelines. If you're looking for a family excursion or are on spring break, and have been in a kayak before, this is great. Beginners are welcome too. We saw only one dolphin, perhaps related to the time of day.

This was a very well-run operation, and I appreciated how amazing and patient our guide was. The only reason I would not give this 5-stars is that we didn’t get to see as much wildlife as we had hoped (only a brief dolphin sighting) and it was very difficult kayaking on the windy day we were there.

Absolutely fantastic experience that I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Charleston. It was a good mix of paddling, enjoying the sights, and seeing beautiful wildlife. Because our group was small and had kayaking experience, we were able to cover a lot of distance and see multiple areas within the estuary. We saw several types of birds (including a nesting osprey), stingrays, fish, and at the end of the tour, a group of dolphins. We got to witness the dolphins feeding and playing with one of their babies, and at times they were within just a few feet of our kayaks. It was a truly once in a lifetime experience. Our guide Maddie was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and made the whole experience even better. The whole company was very communicative and professional, and made the booking experience easy. The location is a quick 15-20 minute drive (we took an Uber) from downtown and very convenient if you are also visiting Folly Beach or Morris Island. Would return and do it again in heartbeat!

This is our second time at Charleston Outdoor Adventures and they are the best! This time, we did the kayak adventure, and a dolphin jumped about 5 feet from us! It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Laine, our guide, was friendly and fun, but she also provided ecological information which was very cool. Safety is paramount with this group! We will be back - excellent experience!

Tour guide Will was outstanding. We were sad not to see fish, turtles or dolphins. Kayaks were comfortable and the scenery was awesome.

Amazing trip! Super windy, almost canceled but glad we didn’t. Our guide recommended to do a tandom kayak. She kept us out of the wind as much as she could. Super knowledgeable and passionate about her job. If you are thinking about kayaking in Charleston book this outfit, you won’t regret it
