The experience was exceptional! Pin, our guide, was incredibly knowledgeable about every site, providing detailed explanations throughout. Despite the heat, he consistently ensured our well-being. Additionally, Pin's photography skills were impressive, adding to our enjoyment of the trip. Overall, we had a fantastic time!

Easily the best tour of my life. To start I was late to the tour due to oversleeping, but instead of being upset Pin was patient and considerate. Moreover, I am a researcher in history and religion, and though I knew nothing about the Angkor period, I was stunned by Pin’s ability to adapt what he knows to my specific interests in areas like Buddhist theology and the geographical basis for Angkorean civilisation. Pin can adapt to any audience because he knows it all —from Hindu legends & Buddhist theology to the history of the Khmer empire to the finer points of temple construction. He is trained as a sociologist and this comes through in his ability to explain the ruins as part of a broader social context. Khmer civilisation came alive before my eyes thanks to his telling. And I appreciated that he knows a lot about modern Cambodian history as well, and is very capable of connecting patterns across the history of this place to the present. Finally, I love his gentle demeanour and smiling temperament. He is a calm, kind, and intelligent guide. He made my trip to the Angkorean ruins. And he even gave me excellent ideas to do a self guided tour on a day when he was unavailable to lead me (I would have booked him for a second day if I could). I chose the solo tour and it was worth every penny.

If you’re looking for a tour guide to explore Angkor Wat, Thean is the best! He is knowledgeable, polite and has a great sense of humour. He completely personalises the tour to suit you. We learnt so much from Thean and he patiently answered every question we had. He knew the best time to visit each temple to avoid the crowds and the best photo locations! Thean took the best photos and was like our personal photographer as well as tour guide. Having a personalised tour was the best as we could stay as long or as little at each temple as we wanted and ask so many questions Cannot recommend Thean enough!

Our tour experience with our guide Thean and the driver was wonderful! Thean took us to all the best spots before any other tourist had arrived, it was perfect for taking photos. They always had a new cold bottle of water waiting for us in the car and nice, cold towels to help beating the heat. Besides of Thean's impressive and detailed knowledge about the entire history of Angkor Wat and all the other temples included in this tour and the history of Cambodia, he also takes great photos! He was always kind to take photos of me and my boyfriend. We were very pleased to have booked this tour and that they were our guides, they were absolutely professional and friendly. A life changing experience. While on our honeymoon, we had a few different experiences that all were good, but our tour guide, Pin, made sure our experience was great in all regards. We saw amazing temples, learned more about local culture and historical events of Cambodia, and felt comfortable and engaged the whole time. Pin himself went above and beyond for us, capturing amazing photos (including panoramas and directing us on where to stand) and came to our aid when we ran into a problem around our flights home. I cannot recommend this company and this experience enough and would absolutely tell everyone I know that this is the company to work with.

Took a 2-day private tour with Angkor Special Tours, and it was the best decision. Our request was to be away from the crowds, and have nice photos. Making the reservation was a breeze, and I had instant confirmation via WhatsApp - followed by email. Our guide Mr. Thean and driver Mr. Sambo ensured that our journey was seamless. Shuttling from place to place in the comfort of an air conditioned car, with cold bottled water and refreshing cold towels. Mr. Thean, explained the history of each place very well, helped us navigate each place (avoiding the crowds), and even helped us take loads of Instagramable photos! Highly recommended if you are looking for a private tour.

My husband and I had the best guide ever! Thean was knowledgeable, informative and most considerate. We took the sunrise|/full day tour to Angkor Wat and the other temples. He showed us the best spots to take photos and take in the majestic views. As the day got hotter, Thean noticed our different energy levels and adjusted the tour accordingly so that we both enjoyed our tour at our own pace. Thank you, Thean, for a wonderful visit. It was an amazing tour with much information about the temples, the traditions, the cambodian people and the jungle wirh its plants and animals. Our tour guide Pin speaks good english, knows the best places and took very good fotos of us.

Our group had an amazing time on this tour thanks to our awesome tour guide Pin! The temples we're breathtaking in person and made our Cambodia visit totally worthwhile on our way to Thailand. Pin was extremely knowledgeable about all of the temples we visited and also shared valuable info about Cambodia, and was able to answer all of our questions. ...even more, ihe also took great photos of us and knew the best spots to take them and best lighting to capture the moments. It really felt like we were hanging with a good friend, and we definitely missed him when we left to continue our travels in Asia. I highly recommend this tour and visiting Cambodia if you're planning to travel to Asia.

My group originally planned to explore the Angkor Wat complex on our own, but at the last minute decided to look into arranging a tour. Upon the advice of a friend, we booked this tour and are so very glad we did! They were able to accommodate our last minute request and provided exceptional service throughout. Our guide was Pin and our driver was Tuna and I can’t recommend both enough. We learned so much about the temples, Cambodian history, culture and so much more. Not only did Pin give us excellent tours he also knew my husband and I were photographers and gave us awesome direction on the best places to take photos and was exceptionally patient when we lagged behind taking photo after photo! I can’t emphasize enough how this tour felt like more than a tour and included amenities we weren’t expecting - cold bottled water to take with us and waiting for us after each temple visit and cold eucalyptus soaked towels as well. The heat was … well really hot … and those towels were such a nice treat for all of us! Pin and a tuna went out of their way to help us out. They took us to dinner when we requested their help and even took us back to an airport to help (and translate for us) with a lost luggage situation. I highly recommend this tour experience. We wish we had stayed a bit longer in Angkor Wat - and most especially with Pin and Tuna. A common refrain since we left Cambodia for the next destination of our journey has been “we wish Pin and Tuna were our guides! Nobody compares!”

We’re so glad that we decided to book a guide & driver for our time at Angkor Wat. We felt the value was worth the price as we got not only the history of the temples we visited but also a local perspective. Pin answered all our questions and was flexible with our itinerary. If we visited on our own we would have left with only appreciating the architecture, however, with Pin as our guide we left with a more meaningful experience and memories we would never forget. He and our driver Tuna made our time at Angkor Wat that much better and that is why I would recommend him to anyone thinking about going to Angkor Wat. We saw a good variety of temples in our 1.5 days there. We’re amateur photographers and he catered the tour to our needs (sunrise/good photo locations/etc).
