Absolutely WOW!! 10 STARS!! I'm not even sure where to start!! My experience with Hidden Iceland was like none other. Being this was our first time visiting Iceland and 4 years of anticipation, we finally booked our tickets and then the real planning started. It was very intimidating to say the least, especially when there is so much to see in Iceland and knowing the weather in April can be unpredictable even though it's considered summer....BTW we had unusually fantastic weather!! After spending weeks of internet searching for places to see and deciding whether to rent a car or personal guided route, we chose the guided route! Hidden Iceland offers SMALL guided tours with groups under 12-13 people which make the experience much more personal, and fun, this was the main reason I chose them. We booked every tour with them and Emily Collier was WONDERFUL, very responsive and professional. Emilie helped personalize our tours in every way and took the worry out of the planning process. Emily arranged our whale watching tour, our personal guided tour of the Golden circle as well as our pick up and return to the airport. THANK YOU Emilie! Tour #1 started off doing the Fire & Ice Day tour, our guide, Prokop Teper, was awesome! Knowledgeable and very personable! He kept us all engaged the entire day, this is a wonder day trip! Our next tour (tour #2) was the 2 day South Coast Glacier Lagoon with the glacier hike, our guides Levi Barath & Ingimundur Stefansson were fantastic as well, between the two of them no stone was unturned when it came to the history and terrain we saw over the next 48 hours. I highly recommend this tour! Glacier lagoon and diamond beach are breath taking to say the least. We got incredibly lucky to see the beginning of the icebergs breaking at Glacier Lagoon. Probably the most incredible sight I've ever seen. Our Guides made this an unforgetable adventure! Thanks guys! Our finial guided tour was a personal tour, sightseeing parts of the Golden Circle.Emilie personalized the entire day for us. We were lucky enough to have Ingimundur Stefansson (again & lucky guy) as our guide for the day, this was a such nice day and unfortunally our last full day in Iceland. Ingimundur is a native Icelander and couldn't be more suited to be a guide with all his fun stories and knowledge of his beautiful country, he makes you feel like you made a friend! We started the day with Haukadalur Geothermal Field, Selfoss waterfalls, Fridheimar farms, where we had a fantastic lunch and a meet & greet with their lovely horses! Next stop was the Thingvellir National Park, couple of pit stops in between then our final stop was Hvammsvik Hot Springs, this was wonderful and a perfect way to end our day sitting in warm hot springs with coctails, overlooking the bay. If you feel inclined to go for a real cold plunge, you should!! I know this is long....But Hidden Iceland made our visit to Iceland perfect and we highly recommend them!!!! Big THANK YOU to: Emilie Colliar Prokop Teper Levi Barath Ingimundur Stefansson Sincerely, The Juliano's

LOVED this tour! A bit pricey, but so worth it! Our tour guide, Arna, was amazing!! She kept us all so engaged, never droned on and on, made special liytle stops for us and was just perfect. The people we toured with were all so nice and friendly. Sadly, we didn't get to see the Northern Lights but did see so much of the beauty of Iceland.

100% recommend booking this 2 day tour! It was absolutely phenomenal and our tour guide Arna was incredible! The remote hotel was adorable and we had so much fun as a group. Book this if you are coming to Iceland! Also recommend booking golden circle tour through Hidden Iceland as well!

If you’re on the fence about booking this, DO IT! My partner and I had so much fun and really enjoyed our guide Robert and had an awesome group. Below are some things to highlight. SAFETY: We came in April and the weather was unpredictable. Leading up to the trip, Hidden Iceland was in communication with us informing us of the harsh weather expected during our trip and made a plan to get the most of the tour all while planning around the expected closures. COMFORT: We traveled in a comfortable 13 passenger van. We were able to charge our phones (USB ports) and use the WiFi on board while getting around Iceland. Also, the stops were close enough to where using the restroom was never a concern. TOUR GUIDE: We had Robert as a tour guide and we all loved him. He was funny, personable, and passionate about the country. He educated and entertained us throughout the drive to the point the timid driving flew by. CONVENIENCE: We got to see awesome parts of Iceland and didn’t have to plan anything. All the stops were spaced out, never felt rushed. Robert took the time to check out the weather forecast to let us know the odds of seeing the Northern Lights and told us when to be outside for them, and he was right!! CLOTHING: The price includes borrowing hiking boots, pants, and a jacket during the ice cave. You just send them your sizes and they had it packed it the van for us. HOTEL: Hotel was great. Absolutely no complaints. Clean, modern, and great set up to see the Northern Lights. ICE CAVE: The ice cave was great. We had a seamless transition leaving Pablo (the van we traveled in) and getting with the ice cave guide. He was very nice and had all of our gear ready for us based on sizes, saved a lot of time! The only negative thing I have to say was pickup. We were ready by 0815 at the bus stop and stood in the freezing wind for 40mn. We contacted the team on whatsapp and they assured us the van was coming, we just happened to be the last stop (which is highlighted in the email). This is a very minor complaint. Nonetheless, 10/10 thank you for such a great time!!

We had a wonderful and memorable private tour with Helgi of Hidden Iceland. Our planning was very late - only about 3 weeks before our departure. The small group tours were already booked. But Anika at Hidden Iceland arranged a fantastic set of tours for us, including this 2-day trip. Even though we came to Iceland to see the Northern Lights but could not (clouds and weather) and learned on the morning of our Ice Cave adventure that it was cancelled (flooding), this was one of our best tours because of the personal touch of Helgi at adapting to the weather and circumstances. We experienced every type of weather - snow, white-outs, rain, sleet, gusty winds (that literally blew cars off the road), and sunshine. We saw so many beautiful vistas and waterfalls and beaches and glaciers and rivers. We spent more time at planned and unplanned stops along the way. And learned so much about Iceland, its people, its past, its present, and its future. I cannot thank Helgi and Hidden Iceland enough for their kindness, patience, knowledge, resourcefulness, and generous hospitality. We truly experienced the Iceland expression - everything will work out in the end.

My friend and I had a wonderful experience with Hidden Iceland. We booked several tours with them and all were well coordinated, fitted to our wants and preferences, and very informative. They definitely offer the best options in Iceland and we will keep very fond memories of our trip thanks to them. Isabelle

The sites we visited were great. The ice cave was amazing. The best part of our trip was our driver and guide Fannar! His knowledge of the geology and history of the area added so much to the trip, as did his music and humor.wonderful two day trip!

Sight Seeing packed with guide that gives great historical information on the areas visited and in general. The sprinkle of local folklore was nice as well. Highly recommend for a great time in a short period of time.

Our guides were brilliant Fannar and Matej. Great tour bus, very comfortable, it was a small tour group, we had wifi and USB sockets - very handy! Felt very safe with the driving in Iceland. Went went to a lovely restaurant for the evening meal on the first night, which was great. We all sat around a big table and chatted. Accommodation at Lilja guest house was also very good, clean with a good breakfast the following morning. We saw waterfalls, glaciers, ice lagoon, diamond beach, black sand beach, Vik, and an ice cave known as Blue Diamond Cave. I think we were the oldest couple there, in our late sixties, but we managed everything, and care was taken to ensure we were ok, and safe. Our guides were for sure the stars of the show, I don't believe it would have been so enjoyable with other guides. Full marks to them. The two days, whilst busy, encompassed everything I wanted to see on the south coast, it was a really memorable trip, a must do.

This was an awesome two day trip. We loved the smaller group. Robert, our guide, was entertaining and knowledgeable. Second day weather was looking bad and Robert managed to get all of our stops in the first day except Diamond Beach. So glad we did as the weather turned rainy and windy second day. The dinner was amazing! Glacier lagoon is stunning. The ice caves were incredible. Be prepared for wet conditions. Unfortunately the clouds prevented the northern lights but the hotel was a perfect location for viewing. Highly recommend this tour!

Genuinely the best group tour I've been on. The itinerary was great, especially the glacier and ice cave exploring, and the minibus we had was so modern and comfortable with plenty of space and cosy chairs. But more than anything our guide Rob MADE this trip. He was hilarious and warm and immediately made everyone feel welcome and at ease. He had the perfect balance of regaling us with facts and stories as well as time to relax and listen to a great playlist. Maybe I also got lucky but my group was the nicest bunch of people to spend 2 days with and Rob played a big part in creating such a team atmosphere. Everywhere we stopped and were around other tour groups we were visibly the most cheery bunch and had a great rapport with Rob. He was also all over the weather and made sure we saw ALL the sights and more while the sun was out which I can't be more thankful for when the weather later turned! The Glacier Adventure team were also incredible and it was amazing knowing we were all in such safe - and certified - hands (glacier adventures and Rob) which isn't always the case. Itinerary was brilliant, van was brilliant and Rob was so clearly passionate about Iceland and working for the company. The reviews AREN'T too good to be true, and I've already recommended to friends travelling to Iceland

We just wrapped up an epic two-day south coast tour, which gives you all the hot spots with a comfortable overnight stay with amazing stops. Robert totally nailed it with his know-how and experience, making sure we were safe while soaking in every bit of magic from the black sand beach to that mind-blowing ice cave, giving us tips on how to get the best pictures at each location with enough time to explore. The longer drives between locations was a total blast, especially with the nice playlist prepared us for good vibes! The ride in the superjeep was bumpy but we were in good hands and felt safe, it was worth the trek into the ice caves. What really made our trip memorable were the random stops Robert threw in, like hanging out with Viking horses and catching the glacier lagoon at sunset. Plus, his insider tips on where to grab a quirky dinner or some killer pizza along the way were spot on. Our guide Robert's genuine care made us feel like we were hanging out with friends. Our time with him was a whirlwind of awesome moments, all thanks to his expertise and laid-back hospitality. This tour was the absolute highlight of our 6-day trip. If you're thinking about booking, do it—trust me, you won't regret it!

Just got back from a whirlwind 2-day adventure along Iceland's south coast with Hidden Iceland, and let me tell you, it was nothing short of epic! 🌊🏔️ Our guide, Robert, was the cherry on top of this already incredible trip. He wasn't just a guide; he was the life of the party! Funny, engaging, and packed with info about everything we saw, from the majestic waterfalls to the awe-inspiring glaciers, and those stunning beaches. Robert not only every moment memorable, but was also able to create sulfur from nowhere. The tour itself? Phenomenal. We hit all the high notes of the south coast - think waterfalls, Reynisfjara black sand beach, and that jaw-dropping view at the glacier lagoon. But it wasn't just about the sights. Robert's food recommendations were on point (hello, delicious Icelandic cuisine!), and the music he played during our drives perfectly matched the vibe of our harmonious group. It felt like a road trip with old friends rather than a tour with strangers. And let's not forget the little extras that made a big difference - like the WiFi on the bus (a lifesaver for posting those Insta-worthy pics in real-time) and the gear provided to keep us dry and warm. Every detail was thought of, ensuring we could fully immerse ourselves in the experience without a worry. In short, if you're looking for an unforgettable adventure in Iceland that combines breathtaking natural beauty with top-notch hospitality and a dash of humor, look no further than Hidden Iceland's south coast tour with Robert. Trust me, it's an experience you won't want to miss! 🌟🇮🇸

Everything about this tour was wonderful. Fannar and Matej proved to be exceptional guides, always ensuring our comfort and safety and we learnt so much from their fun and engaging commentaries. We packed so much into the two days but never felt rushed. Stunning tour and couldn’t recommend more!

We made a right choice to join a 2 days Glacier Lagoon and Ice Cave tour with Hidden Iceland. It was a small group of 11 persons. We visited many spectacular places and not felt rushed. The highlight of the trip was the Blue Ice Cave and we arrived early to avoid the crowds. The lava show was amazing and interesting. The bus is comfortable and clean. The restaurants we had lunch and dinner were good. Our tour guide, Ingi, is knowledgeable, pleasant and informative. We had meals together and chatted happily. Ingi is a safe driver even when driving in the adverse weather on our way back to the hotel. One more important thing I would like to express my gratitude to Hidden Iceland. It was my negligence that I left my son’s coat in the bus. The next day we went to Hidden Iceland office. The staff was so kind and helpful. She tried her best to help. Unexpectedly, Hidden Iceland arranged to send back the coat directly to our hotel which we felt grateful. Highly recommend to Hidden Iceland!!!

I had booked this tour with Hidden Iceland while also booking the Golden Circle tour with them - which we did the day before. Both were excellent, but the 2 Day trip was very special and Arna our guide was a delight. Her energy and patience (it’s a long 2 days in the van) was out of this world - and she possesses great knowledge of not only the history of Iceland, but the terrain, Norse mythology, you name the topic she has it covered. She is also very well traveled and can hold a conversation about any topic - which happened often as we made our way along the south coast. We had dismal weather for part of the trip - but it ended up only preventing us from seeing the northern lights, everything else on the itinerary we saw or did - Black Sand Beach, Glacier Lagoon, Diamond Beach, and an awesome Ice Cave tour (hidden Iceland drops you off with a local guide - we had a guy named Kesh who was great as well). The guesthouse you stay at is quite basic - it was very clean, but we had a series of odd plumbing and electrical malfunctions at 11:30 pm that were a low point, but mysteriously resolved themselves by 6:40am. However it has a spectacular view of the mountains and had it been a clear night I’m sure we would have had a lovely Northern Lights performance. I wouldn’t want to stay for more than one night at this place. Arna also held her own against a series of hard hitting questions about Santa Claus, elves, and trolls from the Australian and American contingent. :-) I liked that dinner was not a mandatory group event - she told people they could choose to eat alone or join the group. We ended up joining the group and having a fun time chatting with the Australians for a couple of hours that night. You will be exhausted by the end of it all, but it is an unforgettable experience. We enjoyed ourselves so much we might consider taking a West Fjords tour with Hidden Iceland based on Arna’s recommendation!

This 2 day tour was my favorite part of our whole 10 day trip! The tour was so much fun and Prokop was a great guide. He had tons of experience and was great at telling us all about all the beautiful sights we saw. He made sure everyone stayed safe at places like the black sand beach. Everything we saw was amazing but the best was the ice cave. It was why we decided to do a 2 day tour. The superjeep ride was like a rollercoaster. Then we got to walk to the ice cave and it was just so gorgeous. Words can't do it justice. How hard all of the hikes to the different sights are seems completely dependent on the weather. The walk to the ice cave wasn't bad at all and the stairs into the ice cave were a little scary but we had crampons and a rope to hold onto. The hardest was definitely the canyon since it was windy. He kept giving the option to all of us if we wanted to keep going at each of the 3 viewpoints and we all wanted to see everything. We were walking uphill into pretty strong wind and then the wind was pushing us downhill, the microspikes/crampons he provided were very helpful. All the restaurants were good and always had a vegetarian option for us. We enjoyed every meal we had and my wife is a very picky eater. The food trucks at the lagoon were so good I can't stop thinking about the barley hot dog and Nutella crepe/pancake. The guesthouse we stayed at was very clean but basic, 1 pillow each, no phone to call to ask for more (and we didn't want to go back out to the office on the other side of the icy parking lot), choose between plugging in the lamps or anything else, just very minimalist in the room in general. I'm sure it's one of the better ones in the area though.
