I am very well-travelled (over 100 countries, former travel writer) and I normally resist pressure to publish reviews on this forum. However, especially when it is hard to select a safari from the copious choice, I had such a positive experience with this company. Charles, the guide, was absolutely excellent - punctual, well-informed, flexible and intuitive. I am used to travelling alone (as well as with husband and three children), but as a lone female traveller on very long and isolated journeys, he made me feel completely safe and well-cared for. The safari experience itself, and the lodge where I stayed overnight, was indelible - beautiful, spiritual and wonderful. I would not hesitate to use this company again if I came back with my family which is the highest compliment I can pay. I also did the one day tour around Nairobi - Blixen Museum, elephant orphanage, giraffe sanctuary - which was just as good if not better - marvellous.

This was an incredible trip! Africa Kenya Safari was incredibly responsive and helped us plan the most beautiful safari I could have imagined. I was nervous with only having 2 days but they helped to make it work and we were able to see everything we wanted! We were picked up at our hotel in Nairobi and had an incredible stay at the Sarova Mara in the Masai Mara. Our driver and safari guide was incredible and went out of his way to make sure we had an unforgettable experience. I would highly recommend even if you have a short time frame like we did!

Excellent trip, guides did the most to make sure we saw as much as possible. Felt taken care of and had so much fun in the jeep!!

First what made our trip amazing was our tour guide Abu. He was so knowledgeable, accommodating and kind. The trip was far beyond my expectations. I was on a business trip and only had 2 personal days and choosing this tour was the best choice I could have made! The booking agent was so responsive, the safari truck was comfortable and roomy, the hotel I selected was awesome. And the beauty of the safari is an experience I will never forget!!!!

So glad I chose to go with Africa Kenya Safaris. I was in Nairobi for business, with limited but open time to explore. I did the 2 day Safari and I’m so glad I did! Chris was an amazing guide, from pick up to drop off. I was shocked we saw so many animals from lion to zebra to giraffe to rhino! He was on the radio with other guides getting the 411 on best places to check out, and it paid off! The hotel selected was great, very comfortable, kind staff, beautiful views, and good food. I only wish I’d had more time! If and when I return, I’ll ask for Chris!

Every moment of the tour was fantastic. From pick up to drop off, Thomas was fantastic. Real friend and really knowledgable. You can tell he cares about the animals too as he was really considerate around them in the vehicle. Would highly recommend and would definitely use again in the future Thank you

Our 3 days Masai Mara group safari was an experience I will never forget. The 4x4 safari jeep was very reliable. The game drive was my best experience . l loved each and every bit. I won't hesitate to recommend Africa Kenya Safaris.

An amazing first time safari experience in a tented camp. It was a 3 Day/2 Nights Maasai Mara Road Safari. Our friendly driver/guide Ndara was punctual and great. He is an excellent scouter for animal sightings and very knowledgeable about wildlife in the Park. I also got to learn a lot on birds species, Secretary Bird, Saddle-billed Stork, Hammerkop, White Heroine, Egyptian Goose just to name but a few, the list is endless. If you're a bird enthusiast, this is the place to be! Lastly, enjoyed our stay at Elengata Olerai, the food was filling and tasty. Lots of gratitude to Chef Steve and his team, the meals buffet, wide varied selections and a chance to sample a bonfire dinner with the Maasais at night and getting to know them, wonderful indeed. Appreciate all and looking forward for more memorable trips with you. ASANTE SANA to the entire team who put this together.

If you are looking to go for Safari I definitely recommend a 3 Day Masai Mara or even more if you got time. Very accommodating from the organizers to the tour guide. The best 3 days spent in Masai Mara. Looking forward to a future safari tour.

The whole trip from pick up to drop off was amaizing,friendly drivers basically the whole experience was a plus.

Breakfast in open wild was a plus. Friendly and knowledgeable driver. Cruise was very comfortable. We enjoyed every bit of our safari.

Great and Fun filled family maasai mara safari. Great one for family. Would highly recommend. Lots of wild animals to see.

My family had alot of fun in the wild where the tour driver, a Mr. Sisto who was very humble and well conversant with the safaris taught us so much about Kenyan wildlife. We were lucky to see so many wild animal.

I was in Nairobi for work and had planned an extra 2 days to hopefully visit The Mara. My hotel promised they would sort me out for a private safari, but until the evening before I was supposed to depart for Mara they had not booked me on anything (more on that later). In a state of great panic, I looked for tours that would sort me out- I had a tight schedule and tall expectations, so I was prepared to be disappointed. I called Africa Kenya Safaris and within minutes, I knew I had found my guys. Steve was incredibly patient, immediately understood my complex situation and anxiety as a solo female traveler and asked me to simply relax and give him a couple of hours. Within no time, he sent me details of my pick up at 5 AM the next morning and shared the itinerary. When I asked him about the payment method, he said 'just focus on the safari, we will sort out the payment once you're back'. The next morning, James, my guide picked me up and the rest is history. He was fully prepared- water cooler, wifi, binoculars and a big smile on his face. We spent the next 4 hours chatting and laughing (he has a great sense of humor). Without a drop of coffee in my body, I spent the next 1 night and 2 days in utter oblivion to the world around me and focused on the Mara. I saw the Big 5 -yes the Black Rhino too (a mama Rhino with her baby no less)!, a surreal Mara sunset, a hot air Ballon ride, a champagne bush breakfast, some insanely adventurous (and bumpy) drives and an evening under the stars at the Ashnil Mara camp. I cannot recommend Africa Kenya Safaris enough. These guys have my heart. Asante James and Steve!

From the planing process few months before, to the end of safari, it was a 5-star excellent service. Steve who helped us with all the big and small questions about the trip was amazing. This helped us a lot on what we need, how it works etc. And then we had, what I like to say, the best Safari guide ever, Abubakar! This company probably have some great safari guides, but if we want to recommend one, it has to be Abubakar. He taught us so many new and interesting things, he was very helpful, he listed to us, he answered all our question and genuinely very nice guy. It definitely recommende Africa Kenya Safaris and Abubakar if you are looking for a complete and intimate experiance of the amazing wildfile Masai Mara has to offer. And please, stay at Ashnil Mara Camp, it wass super clean, amazing food and right next to the Hippo river.

This was of my favorite trips to date...I came back a fiancée! Our safari planner, Steve, was beyond amazing in confirming everything we wanted. He provided helpful information about getting the Kenyan evisa, Covid testing after our safari, and anything else we needed. He was professional and always reached out to ensure everything was going well even after our safari ended and until we turned home. Our safari driver, Abubakar, was the ABSOLUTE best, and chatting with him throughout our game drive was a great time. Abu was amicable, timely, and helpful!! We saw 4 of the Big 5 (no rhino sighting) plus many more animals. Abu's ability to spot animals far off in the distance was impressive. Getting to see 3 leopards (which are usually elusive animals) and the hippos at the hippo pool was a nice treat. Abu is knowledgeable about animals and various subjects. Even when our truck got stuck in the mud, he was calm and made sure we felt comfortable until we got assistance. Mara Serena was a beautiful lodge with gorgeous views to stay. It was also a nice surprise to get picked up and dropped off at the airport before and after the safari. We would love to return for an extended trip and have him as Abu our guide again. I would definitely recommend this company to my family and friends.

In enjoyed the game drive .We bumped in to a pride of lions. Watching them in the wild was so surreal. Our tour guide who doubled up as the driver helped make the experience even more memorable through his insight on matters wildlife. Given another chance , I would go for another trip using Africa Kenya Safaris . The trip was well planned with adequate time to indulge in the various planned activities .

Great Safari - Ezekiel was a excellent driver. I would recommend going three days - still, we have ssen many animals: elephants, lions, zebras, giraffes etc. Communication was very easy and fast, via WhatsApp and email. The price was very good. Ashnil Aruba is an excellent accommodation, located directly at a water hole so you can see elephants all day and night. Pick up worked perfectly, the Jeep was the best car in the entire park. 10/10, would highly recommend!

WOW!!! This tour company went so far above my expectations with every part of planning we made. Always in touch with how things were going, always making sure we were perfect in every way… went so far to help us with other accommodations that we needed. Steve, Humphrey, and our guide/driver Patrick took care of us WAY beyond anything you would remotely expect or imagine. As for the safari, Patrick was very knowledgeable, adventurous, fun, friendly, and we felt like family in just a short amount of time. The Ashnil safari camp luxury tent lodge was AMAZING!! Also beyond anything I expected, probably one of the nicest places, with the best staff, i have visited…..WE WILL certainly recommend this entire experience to everyone we know!!
