It was a long drive, but worth it. We had nice stops along the way to get some coffee, lunch and also some nice photos of beautifuls sights. The stay at the desert was really something else from camel riding to staying the night at the desert.

Great way to see everything if you’re a little short on time. Everyone couldn’t have been nicer and more accomplished. It was amazing!

Both was a great time, and our guide Ibrahim was a lot of fun. Camp was great, driver was great. The lunch stops were mediocre and overpriced, but not a huge deal. The only disappointment was the Ait-Benhaddou—packed with hawkers and tourists, you could get a sense of the place. Then our guide had to take us to his buddy’s scarf place, which was the most important to him. Of course.

The trip by bus to the site (for the camel ride) through out the Atlas mountains took 8 hours... Nobody warned us and we have a 12 years old child (very courageous boy, indeed). Awful! The lunches were in restaurants selected by the guides/the organization of the trip, and there was no freedom of choice: the different menus were preset and the prices were all the same and too expensive (120/130 Dirhams per person). Food without a true quality, just for tourists. On the other hand, the camel trip was spectacular: the site, the guides Ahmed and Omar, the night, etc. Be careful if you go there with a child: this kind of journey is unsuitable for youngsters under 16!

This trip could have been so much better. It is a long time in the car (13 hours with stops each way). And while we were expecting a long car journey, the stops in between didn’t provide much entertainment or information. Once we arrived in the desert, we took a camel ride and we’re dropped off at camp. There was a lot of waiting around and seemed to have no one in charge. Dinner was as expected but breakfast was bread with jam and butter. Overall, this trip could really be improved as I’m sure the Sahara has much more to give.

It is not easy to summarize and find the real causes of the problems. We had to wait 20-25 minutes for 2 people, so we were late already in the morning. However the distance and the programs are basically too much, you cannot urge people that you must be hurry all day long. It kills the experience. We had 1 hour for a village, but we spent 20 minutes at a store where we could buy scarfs. we had 1 hour for a lunch, but it is not possible to have lunch for 15-17 people within an our (not considering the differences of cultures). The roads are very good but there were plenty of times where they were working on it, so it causes more delay. The driver was amazing, considering the trip, he was driving fast and safe, but he was able to save some time on the trip. So the basic delays of people, the distance and road blocks, the quantity of sights causes too much delay and risk the chance to ride the camel in the sunset. We were so late, we were able to

We had done a fair amount of research prior to choosing this particular excursion, we therefore had an expectation based on the high scoring reviews and the photos included in the listing. However, we felt these were a misrepresentation of the actual experience. Firstly, the most important thing to say would be that the Zagora desert isn't like the big orange sand dunes you see in the first photo included in the advert which is blatant false advertising. There was no breakfast on the first day despite the trip being advertised as 2x breakfast and 1x dinner. We were disappointed that every interaction we had with guides had an expectation of tips on top of what we've already paid - I'm not naive and know this is common in Morocco but we thought this was all included. These also didn't feel very optional in return for good service as the guides were going person to person and waited until they were given money. The minibus journey was pretty tortuous there and back with a lack of A/C, which is something that was specifically highlighted as being included in this experience. A family we were travelling with asked the driver multiple times to turn it on but were told it was broken. Apparently this is common that it is 'broken' to save fuel when driving through the Atlas mountains. The tour of Ait Benhaddou was very interesting and the guide was definitely knowledgeable - however he ended up rushing us past markets in order to take us to what I assume was his friend's shop where he recommended we bought headscarves. This particular shop was charging over 4x the price (130dh) in the markets (30dh) we were rushed past. We then went to a lunch that we were told was not the same place as all the other tourist groups and the food would be much better and the restaurant less busy. This wasn't the case as there was already a large tourist table in the restaurant when we arrived and other groups arrived during our meal. The food provided was from a set menu, that can only be described as mediocre, it was also hugely overpriced for what it was. We were dropped in the desert and it was nice watching the sunset whilst on our camel ride towards our accommodation. We arrived at the accommodation which was basic with a bunch of tents encircling a campfire and some small stools. We had a fun evening after dinner around a campfire singing and dancing under the starry sky and the guides played some music and showed us how to play and give it a go ourselves. The toilets were pretty horrible and looked like they hadn't been cleaned for a while and worst of all there was no toilet roll to be found. There were no shower facilities either. Dinner was good with some bread, soup, tagine and an orange for desert. However breakfast the next day was stale bread from the previous night with jams, a hard boiled egg and coffee/mint tea. We were woken at 6:15am to see the sunrise which was excellent and amazing to watch. We then had a short camel ride back to our minibus pick up point. We then made the journey back to Ouarzazate where we were unable to visit the Atlas Movie Studio due to current filming so we visited the old Kasbah in Ouarzazate which was interesting to see but unfortunately was a lot of repetition information wise from the previous day at Ait Benhaddou. We then visited a small antique shop which had lots of very interesting artifacts and rugs made by local craftspeople. This was followed up with another set menu lunch with overpriced and mediocre food. Also just to add that both lunches and the refreshment stops for drinks/snacks were cash only and we had to ask the driver to stop at an ATM to get more cash. We were picked up and dropped off at the same spot which was pre agreed nearby our riad which was in the Medina. Overall, we will remember this trip for a long time. Aspects of it for good reasons, such as the views through the Atlas mountains, the camel ride, Ait Benhaddou and seeing a full starry night's sky. Other aspects for not so good reasons as listed above. I would say that the tour itself was very memorable and the sights are definitely worth seeing but that a lot of the experience in between these were poor so would recommend the trip but with a different operator. We (maybe naively) didn't realise how much this trip would cost beyond the initial £68 when booking.

Was a very good trip, everything provided that we needed, everyone was friendly and the desert surprisingly comfortable to stay in The views were brilliant along the way

Excellent trip. We really enjoyed it from the start. Travelling from Marrakech it is a long drive but worth it as going from freezing Atlas Mountains to hot Sahara desert.

This trip is a must. Our tour guide, Hamid, picked us up and took us on the very long drive to the desert. He was super friendly and accommodating for toilet and refreshment stops. Once we got to the desert the camels were a really fun experience. And our guides took us to the top of a dune to watch the sunset which was breath taking. The camp itself was beyond what we expected. Food was excellent and the stay was comfy enough. The toilet and shower facilities were clean. Breakfast in the morning was what we needed and then we got to watch the incredible sunrise. All in all an incredible, well worth the money experience. The drive is long so be prepared but it was so worth it for the desert experience.

Overall, a nice experience. But, there was a lot of time sitting in a car. Over the 2 days, we spent 20 hours in transportation. Basically, i think this trip is too far to depart from Marrakesh. As a result of that, the camp setup is just at the edge of sahara, just where the road become sand. The stopovers on the way were efficient and well planned - although it left no time to wonder around. The itinerary said it would include 3 meals but was actually only 2. That aside, it was well organised and the highlight was to meet with the berber people of the camp, who welcomed us with food and music. It is also social in terms of that you do this experience with a group of other excited tourists.

We had a fantastic time on this excursion! The camel ride plus desert camp was a totally unique experience. Our guides, particularly Mohammad, were extremely welcoming and helpful. A special mention also needs to go to our driver, Ahmed, he was very knowledgeable and cheery and could always tell when we needed a coffee!

Ahmed our driver was wonderful and looked after us so well. An amazing tour. The stops were so interesting and the food along the way and in the desert was delicious. The camels with Mohammed were awesome and our stay in the desert was so much fun. Totally recommended. Everyone was so kind to us. Thank you from the hungry sleepy Welsh ladies.

Great experience at the camp - fire music and dancing. Be prepared for a long trip both ways - luckily are a few stops to stretch your legs.

The only reason this isn’t a one star review is because several things about this tour were neat: riding camels, visiting Ait Ben Haddou, and sitting around a Bedouin campfire clapping along to traditional songs. That stuff is worth doing, but go with a different company because this tour was extremely poorly run and included multiple downright scams. * We had to pay for entry into multiple tours even though it’s “all inclusive.” * The included dinner in the desert camp DIDN’T INCLUDE WATER. We had to buy water for a very high price, and they claimed to not have change. So we ended up buying 5 big bottles of water rather than let them keep the change. * Our first stop was a 2 hour tour run by a tour guide who smelled like alcohol, repeated himself constantly, and provided essentially no interesting historical information about the sites. Instead he talked about himself being an extra in movies. He also asked two women on our tour if they were a lesbian couple (of course they said “no” because it would be dangerous to admit that in Morocco). * We were taken to lunch at an awful restaurant that was obviously paying them off. Literally all of its reviews online are 1-star, and it’s next door to a restaurant with excellent reviews. (Our tour guide notably didn’t eat at the restaurant he took us to.) * They claim to pick up at your hotel. They don’t. They gave us a pickup location far from our hotel. When I requested a closer location through the app, they said okay. But then the driver called us at 10pm the previous night and told us we have to meet him at 7am at the original location. We had to wait for him on the street until 7:35. * One tour included a stop a the “woman’s association.” The guide didn’t explain what it was or why they were going there. When we got there, we realized it was a carpet store run entirely by men. The point of taking us there was to try to sell us carpets. They claimed the money went to women who made the carpets, but everyone there was a man. It was extremely awkward.

Very much recommended trip! We really liked the two day tour through the atlas and dessert. We were with 1 other couple in the car/van which was really chill and had a very nice driver/guide Ahmed. We stopped at the most beautiful viewpoints as well as places to go to the bathroom or get some water. There is quite some driving during the trip but it was nice to see the beauty of Morocco (+ despite the bumpy roads in some places, we felt safe in the car due tot good and safe driving of Ahmed!). The camelride and night in the camp was magical and an experience we will never forget! They had showers and toilets in the camp as well as possibilities to charge your phone. Definitely a must do when in Morocco!!

Definitely worth the money! Ahmed was a terrific driver and took us to tons of interesting places we never would've thought to explore. The camel ride to the camp was definitely a highlight, and the guides there were incredibly friendly and accommodating.

We had such a great experience during this trip and it absolutely lived up to the expectations set by the listing. Younas was a great driver who made the long drives as short as possible without ever feeling unsafe. We were picked up directly from our Riad in the Medina which Younas arranged with the staff from the Riad so all went smoothly. He is directly contactable via WhatsApp which was great. We set off from Marrakech at 8am and drove over the high atlas mountains with a couple of stops. It took about 2 hours to get from our Riad to the highest point of the mountains and we stopped at a cafe for toilets/snacks/taking pictures. Our next stop from there was Ourzazate which was a further 2h30min. This is where a lot of movies have been filmed but this time we didn't stop except to get refreshments. From here we went to Zagora (2h30min again) where we had lunch at a beautiful little spot. It was around 3pm when we had lunch here. The food was very good and Younas checked what food we would like to have before so they could prepare it. We were here for about 90 mins so it felt like a good rest after a long drive. This is the last big city before the desert and it's about another 1h30 to the camp. The last 15 minutes of this leg is off road in the desert which was exciting and the car was well equipped to handle it comfortably. We stopped at a random point near the dunes and were met by a Berber man and some camels. We were able to ride the camels through the dunes during sunset which was absolutely stunningly beautiful and a real highlight of the trip. The dunes were amazing and we were able to stop and climb to the top of the highest one for sunset. It was a little windy which meant sand was blowing everywhere so sunglasses and headscarves are advisable! From here we got a camel ride to camp for the night. We were welcomed with mint tea and some pastries which was nice and then later had a traditional chicken tagine dinner which was very good quality. After dinner we sat round the fire pit and had some traditional music played for us then set off some lanterns. At one point they turned off all the lights in camp so we could see the night sky fully which was magical. We stayed in the standard tent which had 4 single beds, and while they weren't the most comfortable it was fine for one night. The toilet block was pretty good with private western style toilets and sinks and showers. All round the amenities were good for a one night stay in the desert and I'm sure the luxury options were even better. The next morning we got up and climbed the dunes for sunrise. This isn't guided and was optional but very much worth it. We then had a nice breakfast of pastries, eggs, bread and juice/tea/coffee. There was even some "pizza Berber"! After this we were given some snowboards and told we could go and try sandboarding in the dunes which was quite funny. We had a lot of flexibility as to when we wanted to leave and Younas was very accommodating. We left around 9am and headed back the road we came down the previous day. We had a short stop in Zagora before making our way to Ourzazate. Here we had the options to go to one of the studio tours which we decided against, in favour of more time at other stops. We did have a quick look around though and seemed interesting enough. Next we went to Ait Benhaddou - this was a very interesting stop where we walked through the town and climbed to the very top for great panoramic views. There are lots of places to shop and buy souvenirs here but they aren't too pushy. We spent an hour or more here and then went on to Telouet. We didn't stop long here as we wanted to see the mountains in daylight but it looked beautiful also. From here it was the same journey as the previous day but in reverse. It was a lot of driving but we saw so much across the two days. Younas was very accommodating and allowed plenty of stops for pictures and toilet breaks. The food was all very good and included in the price we paid which was nice as we didn't have to think about it. Overall I would really recommend this tour as it is very good value for what you get to see and the places you get to go. I would emphasise that it is a very long drive (7h30m if non stop from Marrakech), but I think it's worth it for the dunes alone, nevermind the other great stops. If you have more time then a 3 day/2 night option would be a more leisurely way to do this trip which Younas also does but we just didn't have the time.
