We are a family of 5, ,y wife and I, two sons 18 and 13, and a girl who is 6. We do a fair amount of travelling during the year. We were so lucky to pick Desert Trips 15-day Morocco Grand Tour for our Christmas/New Years trip. Our amazing driver/guide, Khaleel, picked us right outside the arrival hall at Casablanca airport and our fantastic journey around Morocco began. First, Khaleel is energetic and enthusiastic young man who went way and beyond to make us comfortable and cater to our needs! His extensive knowledge of his country allowed us to truly immerse ourselves into Moroccan culture and history. The tour takes from Casablanca in a clockwise circle around Morocco. We were so intrigued by the history and culture that we ended up seeing 26 cities and towns, with several not on the original itinerary! The local guides at stop cities spoke perfect English and had a vast knowledge about their cities. It showed that they were chosen carefully. The old cities had this ambiance that is hard to describe. The narrow alleyways lined up with shops, the cacophony of sounds and voices, the aroma of spices and exotic perfumes, and the Islamic Moroccan architecture with its iridescent arches and colorful mosaics, the blend transports you back to medieval times. You can help but be mesmerized by it all. The two nights at the edge of the Sahara desert, one of them in a desert camp, were tranquil calming. Away from light pollution, the sky was dazzling with stars. We had the chance to see Gnawa people who I've only seen in documentaries. Their culture, food, music, and the people themselves were something else. The fossil museum was a great bonus. Khaleel and Desert Trips gave me something on which I cannot put a value, great memories with my family. For that, I'll be eternally grateful. A word of advice, when given the choice between staying at hotels or Riads, go for the Riads! Hotels are similar everywhere but Riads are uniquely Moroccan.

The 15 day Moroccan private tour by Desert Trips was an unforgettable experience. It all started with a sincere recommendation from my cousin are we glad we took his advice. A lot of Moroccan traditional and natural beauty around and such wonderful Khalil (guide & driver) made this trip very special. From the start to the end of the tour, the kindest person who remained in touch throughout; was Khalil. His knowledge of his country impressed us. He was more than just a driver. He was full of info about every place that we had never heard of before. He gave detailed explanations of all the places, especially Berber (Amazigh) history and culture. It was so enjoyable to spend these days with him. We were in awe of Khalil's amazing ability to locate beautiful hidden places. He got us everywhere safely and in good time. Everything listed on the tour was way beyond our expectations. We had a variety of Riads (hotels) with excellent breakfasts and 3 dinners. The highlight of the tour for us was the Sahara desert - a camel ride in the sunset in Merzouga, and visiting the living place of the nomad family! We did a lot of walking exploring all the historic sites so very important to have comfortable shoes! We visited UNESCO World Heritage Sites along the way. One highlight is Volubilis. Our local guides in Marrakech and Fes took us to local restaurants for lunch and gave us a taste of the local delicacies. They were friendly, energetic, very organized, knowledgeable, and kind. At each stop, and thanks to flawless logistics, we were able to focus entirely on adventure and leisure. Hassan's (Fes's guide) infectious excitement kept us excited and engaged throughout the day, which was full of unexpected surprises. As our private Morocco tour drew to a close, we were left with an unquenchable need for more. Khalil made this trip unique and we are incredibly appreciative of his commitment and knowledge. If you are considering a tour with them in Morocco, you are in for a treat, especially if Khalil is your driver!

I selected DesertTrips team for our 15 days private tour of Morocco, we were very pleased with their service. I was in contact with Med who was so accommodating and helpful, and he responded immediately with several different itineraries for those 15 days. We communicated and nailed down the perfect itinerary with pictures/descriptions of where we were going including all Hotels and Riads. Every request was filled. Their accommodations were terrific, and we had no complaints. This tour was truly an amazing experience. Our tour driver(guide) Khalil did an excellent job taking care of us during our 15 days of travel, driving very safely. He was an excellent and safe driver and we were extremely compatible. Khalil’s friendly personality, his constant caring for our well being and excellent handling of the various tour details have made us feel in good hands, and led us smoothly to the wonderful locations of our tour! We got along so well and ended up sharing many many laughs together. We learned so many things from Khalil about the Berber Nomads and the Moroccan Cultures. He always would direct us where it’s safe to go during our free time and always texted us at night to make sure we made it back to the hotel safely. The camel ride in the Sahara desert across magical sand dunes ending in a beautiful sunset and go sandboarding was the ultimate memorable highlight. The camel man was so good at taking pictures of us on the camels. We had the opportunity to view and learn about ancient fossils, Khalil took us to many shops (Rissani) for shopping and kept an eye on all of us. learn about the local agriculture and irrigations systems (Hassilabied), visit the African Hollywood (Ouarzazate) and (Ait Benhaddou) where many famous films were shot, and so much more! Many thanks to Med, and Khalil for their outstanding efforts and highly memorable private tour! I would recommend them to anyone and would use their services again next time we are in Morocco.

We had a private car with driver through Morocco for 15 days. They booked all our hotels and Riads (magnificent old homes in the medinas) for us. We rode camels in the Sahara to a luxury camp. We drove though 3 different mountain ranges, the amazing sand fines in the Sahara desert and the Atlantic Ocean. We saw so many cities and towns, even one that looked like Switzerland, and Roman ruins. We saw wild Barbary apes. But the people we met were amazing. Our drivers Said and Khalil, the tour guides in each city that brought the history to life, having tea in a Nomad family tent in the desert, and meeting the staff in the riads. Every moment of this trip was amazing. From the minute we were picked up at the airport the the minute we were dropped off to return home, everything was taken care of. This trip was exceptional.

We had such an amazing time on a 15-day tour around Morocco! First of all, Morocco was absolutely amazing. I loved it more than I thought I would. With this tour, we got to see so much of the country in such a short amount of time (though I wish we could’ve stayed longer!). Being on this tour took away the stress we would’ve had if we tried to do it on our own. Our driver Khalil is very considerate. My whole family learned a whole lot of Moroccan history, culture, customs, and even Arabic/Berber language from him, making some of the lengthy driving days a lot of fun. Khalil also knew exactly what kinds of food we were craving for lunches, and was always able to bring us to the just right local eateries along the trip. We visited Casablanca, Rabat, Tanger, Marrakech, Fes, Atlas Mountains, Essaouira, Dades Valley, the Sahara desert, and many smaller towns in between. It was a great time! DesertTrips are arranged for everything. Our accommodations were to our expectations. The Riads are really great. Our guides were really helpful. I can’t imagine doing Fes or Marrakech medina without guides. They were very accommodating helping us locate what we wanted for souvenirs. They gave us great recommendations for lunch. I especially liked the Tangia And the Tagine, Couscous, recommendation in Marrakech. Since it is a private tour, the itinerary was flexible to an extent. The desert camp is a must-do. it was one of the most unforgettable experiences. Sleeping outside under the desert sky with shooting stars and then waking up to sunrise over the Sahara felt like an experience in a movie. and the ever-present artistry beyond each corner you turn. This tour is a must-do if you are thinking about visiting Morocco. Khalil has parred excellence and we would highly recommend DesertTrips to everyone. From the mosaic-rich Riads we stayed in, the pristine gardens we walked through, the entranced medinas, the enchanting kasbahs, the majestic palaces, the melancholy prison we visited (I highly recommend the prison tour), and so much more, Khalil gave us a once in a lifetime fantastic experience. When booking a 15 day private tour of Morocco for two, 4 months in the future, paying in advance, one never knows what will happen or what kind of product will be delivered, if ever. I write this review in Marrakech at the end of a fabulous tour where we were chauffeured safely and skillfully by Said our 27 year old driver. By halfway through our journey he became like our son and he felt the same. Always on time waiting for us every morning as we emerged from our Riad or desert tent. One of his favourite sayings was, ” Take your time” whenever we wanted to take pictures or explore a roadside market. To summarize, everything was positive, and we have no negative comments whatsoever. We would not hesitate to recommend this tour company to anyone considering a holiday in Morocco.

Travel on 23Feb with 6pax Met Said our driver/guide/photographer upon arrival in Casablanca airport. Immediately we know we are taken care of by a good team with the reliable young guy arranged for data card and money changer all within half an hour. He listened to our feedbacks and concern for every stop and responded , advise safety guide for each city and recommended good restaurants. The Riads that we stayed were beautiful with 90% above satisfaction level with every breakfast a pleasant surprise . Orange plantation was an unexpected bonus tour and we all love it. Going through the 4 seasons with beautiful landscapes in 15days. Visited blue, , white, yellow and red cities with amazing camel rides, overnight experience in Sahara and Quzoud falls with boat ride are especially awesome . Professional local guides in Rabat like Abdo Ali and Chefchaouen-Amina ,the only lady guide in the city tour , we love her professionalism and cheerful attitude very much. We booked the 15 day tour with a slightly modified itinerary. Our group had 2 children (age 9 and 13) and 3 adults. We hit all the sites at a leisurely pace. Our driver Houcine was very friendly, and did his best to make sure we had a great experience. For example, he changed our itinerary a little bit so we can catch the Sunday souk in Rissani. I would recommend this tour to future travellers to Morocco!

Morocco was in our bucket list for quite a while, so when the time came for our dreams to turn into reality; we were excited beyond belief yet a bit hesitant. Morocco is very far from home. Will it be safe? Are the people nice? Will there be any language barrier? With these uncertainties we landed in Casablanca airport. The minute we met up with our driver/tour guide we were left assured that we were in safe hands. Our guide, Addi, at first glance gave us the impression of enthusiasm, willingness to help and above all made us feel right at home. In this 15 day trip, he was nothing short of an angel whenever we were in a dilemma, from 5 am till 12 am, he was present and with a jolly smile. He never gave any indication of irritation on any questions that we asked. (Which were several and repeated!) Overall, he was absolutely a delight to be with and the bond we created will inshallah be everlasting. Again, let us not forget about Khalil, who even though wasn’t present with us, but was always checking up on us, our well being, if we are enjoying our time. It felt like he was travelling with us. This sort of service cannot be bought with any amount of fortune, it comes from the purity and kindness of their hearts. I would blindly recommend anyone in there safe hands while travelling to Morocco. Finally, all o want to say is, what an amazing trip it was and Addi and Khalil made it even better. Had an absolutely amazing time in Morocco with our driver/guide Khalil, plus our Fes guide Hassan and Marrakech guide Mustapha. They made our trip most enjoyable with their jokes, entertained us with stories and brought us to local food joints, eating what Moroccans eat. Especially Khalil, thank you so much for bringing us to watch football at a local cafe, to the beach at Essaouira, and for having an acceptable face so that we only got stopped by the police once only for protocol and for driving within speed limits! Lol... We stayed mostly in riads for the trip and I really enjoyed every aspect, from the beautiful interiors to the very generous delicious breakfasts. A special thank you to Med as well for accommodating our request to cancel the rock climbing and switch to a short half day trek instead. Please choose Desert Trips if you are heading to Morocco!

Best of Morocco in 15 day this tour was truly an amazing experience our adventure started in Casablanca with our knowledgeable tour guide, Khalil He was very kind and friendly. warmly greeting us at the airport. Every morning, Khalil cheerfully described the itinerary of the day. As we traveled He narrated the history and cultural highlights of each region, we were honored to visit an Berber Nomad family tent and while we sipped tea and ate warm bread, We were very pleased with all of the hotels/riads where we stayed. They were all beautiful and staffed by very kind and helpful people. Khalil knew the best places to eat. The food was quite delicious everywhere in Morocco. Morocco is an outstanding place to visit and I Highly recommend Khalil and the team. We will be back. Thanks for such an amazing adventure!

We chose to take a private tour of the Imperial Cities and the Western Sahara with Morocco Desert Trips over 15 days as they allowed us to choose the route and pace. The trip coincided with my 60th birthday and marked our return to international holidays after an eternity of lockdowns. Our local guide and 4WD driver for this 2,200km round trip was Khalil who made the experience very authentic, bringing many aspects of his Berber family heritage and his own personal insights to each of the exotic locations. He also cooks a fantastic Chicken Tagine and carves a mouth-watering melon at the end of those long drives. We also chose to take 2-nights each in the main town's of Chefchaouen, Merzouga, Fes and Marrakech allowing us time to do some independent walks and to sit at the front of coffee shops watching tourists from the other large bus tour groups completing a frantic race between each sightseeing stop. We strolled through the markets of Rissani and Fes, we followed the footsteps of the Romans and French, occasionally got ourselves lost, we drove part of the Paris-Dakkar route, had mint tea with the nomads. Why the rush, go with Morocco Desert Trips and make it a real immersive holiday!

Just came back from Morocco and it was such a memorable trip with DesertTrips Our tour driver/guide Adi was the absolute best. We really have him to thank for making the trip as amazing as it was. Although we were driving a lot, he made the drives fun and had lots of pit stops for us to see different places along the way to the main locations. Adi was born and raised near the desert and was very knowledgeable about the local culture we learned so much about Moroccan life and culture from him. every experience we had in Morocco has been incredible. All accommodations were nice, and staff really went out of their way to make you feel at home we feel that we got such a good glimpse into so many different parts of the country and were able to meet so many people. It is truly an incredible place with an amazing history and culture, I highly recommend this Tour very well organised with professional guides, I was exhausted when I returned home but had an amazing experience and hope to someday return to Morocco!

Best of Morocco in 15 days. This tour was truly an amazing experience. Very authentic. Our tour guide Addi was truly amazing, very informative, very patient and fun to be with he was incredibly knowledgeable, but more importantly personable, he did a wonderful job of catering to our different personalities and balancing what we’d want to see and do given the age differences. The most magical evening was definitely in the desert, this tour does a great job of setting up individual tour guides for the other cities. They were equally engaging, helpful, and enthusiastic. We have absolutely no complaint. The accommodations were terrific, We stayed in riads for the most part and they made the experience even better. The food, hospitality, and beauty was top notch. Having Khalil as a driver/tour guide we have seen Morocco from many different angles and a lot more than we imagined. We have seen places and local life that is only possible to see while on a small private tour. Khalil should be cloned and put on every tour. My wife and I highly recommend this tour company. Our Morocco tour was perfect from beginning to end. Khalil is a wonderful driver/tour guide that puts his heart into what he does. Tour was perfectly organized with all safety measures and comfort.
