This tour was the best. We saw fantastic scenery and hiked through beautiful landscape. Steve and Clancy were excellent guides and cooks. They both had a great knowledge of the Kimberley and its surrounds, as well as being extremely patient and both had a great sense of humour. Highly recommend this camping experience. Thank you Bryce for ensuring everything is well organised and employing fantastic people. Lynne and John King

It was an amazing experience. Everything was taken care of, we had amazing food, spacious tents and the air mattresses were very comfortable. Bryce is an amazing person, always available and ready to answer any question and you can tell he loves the Kimberley and his job and our two guides Clancy and Steve were simply fantastic, very professional, passionate and prepared. They also helped us understand more about the aboriginal communities. The itinerary covered all the highlights of the Kimberley. I couldn’t have chosen a better tour company. I will definitely book other tours with them in the future. Rosa (Italy)

We had a great trip and loved every day of it. Our days were full of activities and the scenery was magnificent. The two walks with the Aboriginal Guides were a highlight. Our tour guides Clancy and Steve were hard working, professional, safe and fun. The camping mattresses were comfortable and the food very good. We would highly recommend Outback Horizons.

WOW, WOW, WOW!!!!! Have just returned from this amazing adventure and it was the most sensational trip! From our early morning pick up to the time we arrived back in Broome the trip was filled with laughter and unforgettable sights, sounds and memorable experiences. I can't fault a thing! Thanks to Clancy and Steve for their organisation, attention to detail, well planned itinerary, amazing food and great company! These guys work so hard and nothing is too much trouble for them. They made everything so comfortable and easy. Backed up by Bryce, they are a great team! Thanks to the weather Gods for raining a couple of weeks before our trip! This meant we saw waterfalls flowing with heaps of water and a very green Kimberley region. Most memorable was Bells and Manning River Gorge, Mitchell Plateau and Purnululu. Thanks to Purnululu guide and elder Bec for welcoming us to her country in the most moving of ceremonies. My fellow travellers were awesome and it was great to meet so many wonderful people to share the experience with! The best thing to do for yourself is to book this trip. It will be one of the best things you can ever do! Highly, highly recommend it!

We loved everything about our trip! Clancy and Steve were knowledgeable about all of the places we visited, including the local indigenous culture. They were patient, funny and great cooks. This tour included indigenous guides on 2 trips. Bec's songs in Cathedral Gorge were so moving. Every day we visited somewhere exceptional. Extras such as sunset champagne and nibbles at a couple of sites was a fabulous way to finish the day. The tents, mattresses and sleeping bags were really comfortable. Great food and plenty of ice-cold water. Highly recommended!

The best way to see the Kimberley. A comprehensive, well priced, guided tour with knowledgeable and friendly driver/guide and cook. Plentyful yummy food. Interesting info but would be better with a microphone and speakers to the rear of the vehicle so that everyone could hear what is being said. Cumfy tents, sleeping bag and mattress.

Phil is an accomplished 4WD driver & trail guide, complemented by Caroline's outstanding catering. We are so glad we chose Outback Horizons for our Kimberley adventure. Our hosts Caroline and Phil were fantastic. All the camping equipment was first class and we slept well in our tents. The vehicle was comfortable and Phil is a great driver. We were amazed at the beautiful meals Caroline produced from the camp cooker. Our group all formed great friendships and have lasting memories of our tour together. We experienced so much on our 15 day trip. We learnt a lot about the Kimberley district from Phil and Caroline, their love for the area is evident.

We were a group of 10 including our amazing guides Caroline & Phil who gave 110% making sure we had the very best Kimberley experience. The 15 day camping tour allows time to enjoy the stunning beauty of this magical place. Caroline& Phil shared local information & stories as good friends would, with generous home cooked meals and laughs around the camp fire. Wonderful walks with opportunities for refreshing swims, star gazing, dawn chorus and pre dawn barking owl which really does sound like ‘woof woof’. We loved the helicopter flight over Mitchell falls after the walk in and would highly recommend the optional flight over the Bungles. The tour also includes 2 relaxing boat cruises. Great camping gear with easy to erect tents Passing the larger tour companies our small group was always thankful that we were with Outback Horizons it really does enhance the experience. We were lucky to share this experience with a great bunch of now new friends Great friendly service from the first contact with Bryce till post tour recommendations Great memories, great photos Loved it!!

Our 15 day, fully catered, Kimberly camping trip with Outback Horizons was a fantastic experience from pickup at Broome airport to drop off at tour's end. The Kimberly is fascinating, colourful, and endlessly varied and this company wants to share it all with it's clients. Our guides Phil and Caroline went out of their way to give us the best experience possible - and yes, unforeseen things went awry as they can do in life, (none were of the company's making), but Bryce, Phil and Caroline went out of their way to quietly adjust, compensate and make our holiday a truly excellent time. Phil unstintingly shared his extensive knowledge of the region, and his and Caroline's obvious enjoyment of the Kimberly rubbed off on us all. The camping equipment and vehicle were modern, safe and comfortable and Caroline's catering, variety and choices of food, not to mention her excellent camp cooking helped us all to feel very pleased with our choice of travel company. If you ever consider small group touring we happily recommend Outback Horizons.

I have just completed a wonderful 15 day Kimberley camping trip with Outback Horizons. We set off from Broome and proceeded to visit the various, very interesting and different gorges along the Gibb River Rd to Kununurra, then on to Purnalulu and back to Broome via Geikie Gorge at Fitzroy Crossing. Our small group of eight was ably led and looked after by experienced tour guide, Phil and our delicious food was provided by second guide, Caroline. The pace of the tour was great as the time gave us the ability to spend two nights in several places along the way. We became quite adept at setting up and pulling down tents and enjoyed the camaraderie that developed around the campfire and over the trip. The itinerary was well planned and we had some terrific walks and swims visiting Windjana, Tunnel Creek, Bell, Manning, Adcock and Galvans Gorge, a walk and helicopter flight over Mitchell Falls (with the option of a second over Purnalulu – well worth it!). The sunset drinks at El Questro, a visit to Emma Gorge and Zebedee Springs were all highlights as was the Triple J cruise down the Ord River out of Kununurra. All in all, we had a memorable trip and recommend travelling with Outback Horizons.Owner Bryce was very responsive and personable and went out of his way to ensure that all our needs were met along the way.

We took off early in the season and as result access to Mitchell Falls was not available. But we also had several beautiful gorges / waterfall swims all to ourselves before the busier times. Our most experienced Guide and great driver Phil …and our superb cook Caroline kept in regular contact with Bryce reworking our 12 day trip. What we missed out on was made up for by the enthusiasm of our guides. We were able to enjoy fresh tasty meals x3 day … glorious vistas.. sunrises…comfortable camping …hikes …walks …swims …sunsets …laughs … happy hours with chilled drinks as Phil and Caroline diligently kept everything in order. Phil’s Kimberley expertise and knowledge was greatly appreciated as well as his safe handling of our comfortable 4x4 vehicle. Nothing was too much trouble for Caroline and her food every night was awesome. I can recommend this tour for an safe intimate Kimberley experience.

A wonderful 12 days camping and 4 wheel driving in the Kimberley, travelling with Outback Horizons. We were expertly driven, guided and fed by the wonderful Phil and Caroline who also went above and beyond to give us the best experience possible. And thanks Bryce for ensuring we didn’t miss out by supplying ice creams, meals, champagne, alternate accommodation and helicopter rides when some of the roads were closed. We are still raving about the wonderful time we had!

My husband and I, along with six other friends, recently completed a 15 day camping trip with Outback Horizons in the Kimberley region and, despite a few mishaps, had a fabulous time. We started in Broome and visited and swam in several gorges along the Gibb River Road. We also went to the Mitchell Plateau, enjoying a helicopter flight to the falls and then walking back to the carpark. From there it was on to El Questro, Kununurra and Purnululu before returning to Broome. Phil and Caroline, our tour leaders, did a wonderful job, dealing with unforeseen situations in a very positive, professional manner and we all had a lot of fun. Caroline was an amazing camp cook, serving up delicious meals and my husband ensured that nothing ever went to waste! We would highly recommend a trip such as ours to anyone who enjoys camping and the outback.

The wonderful colours in the scenery. Gorges..all different. Interesting flora and fauna There were 6 of us, all well looked after by Caroline who cooked delicious meals and Phil the leader who enouraged me. I was an inexperienced hiker but would recommend this camping trip to someone with moderate to high fitness level.... Some of the hikes were level 4. I did most of them; however some blisters did prevent me from doing some of them. I wasn't good.at putting up my tent; however other members were very helpful ...

I just wanted to say how impressed I was with my 12 day Kimberley holiday with Outback Horizon. Everything was just perfect from the pick up at the airport, our accommodation in Broome, and all the different locations we stayed at, the hikes we did, and the included helicopter flight. I also want to say what a great team Phil and Caroline make. Phil is an excellent guide, and Caroline’s attention to detail and expertise in cooking sumptuous meals on a camp stove was just amazing. We had a different menu every night and the food was of a very high standard. Nothing was too much trouble, and the champagne, cheese and bickies at Saddle Back Ridge was just the icing on the cake. Also, I think having 2 day stops in the parks rather than packing and unpacking daily worked extremely well. Thanks again Bryce and co for a fabulous trip that I will always remember. Janice Robinson

The Kimberley is worthwhile seeing but try to choose your time for best conditions. May 2021 was still limited in accessibility due to a late wet season, so we were unable to reach the Mitchell Plateau, a key destination on our trip. Tunnel Creek was another listed destination unavailable, Our guide also skipped Kununurra, while day 1 of our tour to Dampier Peninsular was a total waste of time, and some form of torture. We had a decent breakfast in Broome on departure, and then we did not get refreshments again until 7pm when we made ourselves a sandwich. Day 2 was also long and tortuous with uncertainty whether we would reach our accommodation. As guests, we became quite concerned as to what our itinerary was and whether there would be meals available. The first days were extremely stressful and one guest chose to leave the tour. We understood from communication with Bryce that he would be refunding an agreed amount to us, but February 2022 and that amount has not been forthcoming. I have found Bryce tends not to follow up, issue receipts and confirm details.

Many thanks Bryce for enabling us to continue our tour after several others had to cancel due to Covid restrictions. It was an amazing experience that we shall never forget. Steve, our driver, cook, guide provided us with a wealth of experiences along the way. The fact that so much was included in the initial cost meant you didn't have to continually be paying out of your pocket. The tent was easily erected at each stop, and self-inflating mattresses made it quite a comfy bed. We loved the ruggedness of the region and the colours of the ranges were spectacular. Amazing swims under waterfalls at Bell Gorge & Manning Falls and at Zebedee Springs. Our special sunset drinks and nibbles were fabulous. Instead of rushing to reach places as we noticed with people travelling with family/friends we took our time and Steve talked about the plants, wildlife & rock art that some people overlook in their haste. We loved the flight over Mitchell Falls and the boat cruise down Geikie Gorge which were included in the price. Thanks Steve for your great photography as well. We have no hesitation in recommending Outback Horizons if you truly wish to have a more personalised trip.

Ours was a 12 day touring party of nine in all, including leaders John and Phil. Had never done long term camping in tents but they were well outfitted and very comfortable, and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Everyone 'pitched in' and we all had a great time experiencing some very remote places that other tour companies don't always cover. And being a small party, it was more personalised than those large 'one size fits all' style tours. The meals were great, the vehicle was airconditioned and very comfortable, and the camp atmosphere was very congenial. A great combination for an enjoyable trip out into the wilds to experience some of Australia's more remote areas.
