We were initially coordinating with Med and then **blessed** to be assigned Khalil as our driver at first then guide/companion/main man at the end of the trip :) The thing with multi-day tours such as this is first and foremost: safety, and I am grateful that Khalil is a driver first, then guide and buddy after. It's such a comfortable ride for the two of us, we rode a Japanese camel called Toyota Land Cruiser Prado ;) and the off-road desert sandy hikes were just taken in stride. Pick up was always on time, (even minutes earlier) so we always have free time even if the itinerary provided to us appear to be jam-packed. We always hit all the checklist of our itinerary, which I really appreciate how Med have prepared, regardless of multiple revisions and requests made. For our itinerary, (we greatly appreciate the extra requests BTW and understand that this will cost extra), I need to take a moment to discuss Med's level of considerate thought, attention to detail and his perceptive ability to make them be granted in the most optimal way where in the end his suggested options always lead to the best choice. Because of it we are happy with our days, if ever there is a need to veer from the itinerary it was always discussed, and sometimes new suggestions come up that always end up being the highlight of the experience! Med drafted the itinerary but it was Khalil who executed it and this tandem was the best because our the last day was SO FUN!! Yes we paid for the tour but the experience we got was more than what we paid for!! I'm very happy everything the tour posted is what you will get. Not only that but we were also able to do/felt the following: - Felt safe and felt like we are getting the best bang for our buck - Be taken to the most scenic view of Ait Ben Haddou - Saw an authentic belly dancer in one of the restaurants in Casablanca - Tried other local Moroccan experience :) - Our IG was on fire because of Khalil's exquisite editing skills - Had photos taken that we are going to blow up on print back home because the desert shots were just striking. That's Khalil's forte. If you want the Berber Saharan experience go with Khalil. He's the desert man. Ladies, if you want nice edits on your social media I recommend you request for Khalil; Gentlemen - if you want "experience" might as well go with Khalil he's what we had he hooked up. I am sure there are other drivers out there from MoroccoDesertTrips.net who are just as competent like Khalil, I am only reviewing from my experience and what I can say is it was the best private tour I have had. EVER.

We did a nine night, ten day trip through Casablanca, Rabat, Chefchaouen, Fes, the desert and Marrakech. We had not one worry or concern the entire time and one delight after another. We were met on the first day and every day by our punctual, reliable, friendly, helpful, patient, flexible, fun, knowledgeable guide, Addi. He was in touch in advance with accommodation and local guides so we would be met and so very well taken care of. We barely carried a suitcase the entire time; everywhere we went, he had help organized for this. He drove a large, clean, comfortable Ford van so there was ample space for our family and the luggage. Bottles of water were provided every day in the van. There was some driving time when we enjoyed looking at the changing landscape go by, singing to Addi’s playlist, telling jokes, hearing about Morocco’s history or explanations of what we were seeing and learning a few words in Arabic or Berber so we could get along. He knew when we needed a stop and where to find bathrooms. The accommodation was carefully curated; we were so happy and delighted with the comfort and beauty of the places we stayed. Included in our trip was daily breakfast which, although similar place to place, was varied and delicious. Our guide knew of great places to stop for lunch; lunch was not included but also was not expensive. Dinners were included in the desert and at our overnight in the mountains; all were fabulous. Our guide helped us buy fresh oranges and beautiful dates from roadside stands and in the market. In our family, there are those who love a long walk and can do a lot of stairs and those who are less interested in that; our guide adjusted everything so each person would be happy and comfortable. He was so kind and went above and beyond to make our desert experience fill our senses and our hearts. We felt safe and happy the entire time. Addi, tennemiert azul di canool (probably not spelled right but it means thank you from the heart in Berber). Morocco was an extraordinary place to visit, made all the more so by your talents and skill as a guide. I would not hesitate to recommend a trip planned by this company. It’s hard to book something where the outcome is unknown, however, based on our experience with Addi, this was something I would be totally comfortable with, were I to do it again. A few notes: Try to change money at your hotel as exchanging money is expensive at ATMs and some currency exchanges. If you have dietary requirements, keep in mind that breakfasts often feature wheat and dairy products, along with fruit, olives, coffee, jam, etc. Our guide stopped at a grocery store for us so I had my own gluten free bread for breakfast. There are frequent opportunities to purchase souvenirs and products (tile, argan oil, carpets, rose cosmetics, fossils, dishes, etc.). There is no requirement to purchase things and you can politely move on. In most places bargaining was acceptable. Souvenirs were often identical from one stall/town/city to the next so watch for better prices. Keep coins and small bills for the bathrooms and tips, just in case ; )

It was truly an amazing experience! We saw so many beautiful places and things. Our driver/tour guide Abraham was the absolute best! If you have the opportunity to do this tour, definitely take it! This trip gave me memories I will treasure forever.

We had the pleasure to tour with Abraham for 10 days. He was EXTREMELY ACCOMMODATING, kind, humble, honest and very very hospitable. He was always on time, patient, and never rushed us to actually explore and take in all the beauties of Morocco. He took us to the most amazing places to see and always had water available for us all the time. The vehicle was always clean and impecable too! We would absolutely do the tour all over again with Abraham. We have already recommended him to our friends because he TRULY made the experience IMPECABLE. THANK YOU ABRAHAM FOR TRULY BEING A PART OF OUR EXPERIENCE IN MOROCCO. INSHALAH WE WILL SEE YOU AGAIN.

Azul! What an amazing experience! Our guide, Said, helped make the trip quite memorable! He was very knowledgeable, was quick to point out areas of interest, and was patient while teaching us some of the local language. I truly felt immersed in the culture and learned so much in such a short amount of time. The hospitality we received on the adventure was so genuine and heartfelt, I can't imagine traveling to and navigating Morocco on my own and I highly recommend DesertTrips! The hotels we stayed in are among the most elegant I've ever seen and provided some stunning photographs, inside and out. Hassan, our guide in Fes, was very kind and will quiz you at the end, so pay attention! :) He navigated us through the intricate markets of Fes and the trip to the tannery was something to behold. I appreciate how much we were able to see and learn in one day, many thanks to Hassan! Our guide in Marrakesh, Moustafa, was also very knowledgeable, and starting us at Bahia Palace provided a great serenity that lasted the day. He surprised us with his Qraqeb skills, and was able to get everyone to join in on the street performance, Bravo! There are so many other great people we met on our travels and too many anecdotes to tell in a review. Suffice it to say, Said is everything you could ask for in a guide and more. I can't thank him, his friends, and company enough. Tanmirt!

Morocco has been a dream destination of mine for a long time. We decided to book a fully guided tour and chose DesertTrips based on all the great reviews from other travelers. From the start, both Khalil and Med made the planning process so easy and put my mind at ease by being so kind, flexible and responsive. I knew we would be in good hands. We had the pleasure of having Said with us for all 10 days as our driver and guide, he made us feel at home in a foreign country we knew very little about, we felt completely safe and comfortable with him. Said has such a warm and bright personality, he knew so many people along the journey and greeted everyone with the biggest smile. He was timely, very attentive and patient. My favorite part of the entire trip was visiting the desert and learning about the Berber history/culture. Said is so passionate and proud of his background, we really appreciated him sharing that with us. We even had the pleasure of visiting Said's sister's home who treated us like family and friends. The trip itself was very well organized, we always knew what was going on and where we were going. We loved every single hotel/riad we stayed. We also had very good and knowledgeable guides in Fes (Hasan) and Marrakesh (Mustafa). Thank you DesertTrips for a memorable vacation we will never forget!

I would like to believe I have traveled the world and while I still have several countries I would like to see, the country of Morocco was just the vacation I needed for this time in my life! My husband and I traveled with close friends who are equally excited about experiencing new cultures and adventures. I truly was unprepared for the level of hospitality and graciousness of our very informed, intelligent and funny driver, Said. He was so very pleasant and aware, he would pick out specific sites and features of the countryside to enlighten us further and provide more color to our adventure. Said also went out of his way to help us engage with the locals, meeting some of his family and relatives was a real treat and provided us such insight to their friendliness and way of living. Each of the guides provided to us for the historical and culture-laden cities of Fes and Marrakech, Hassan and Mustafa, were affable and knowledgeable about current and past customs, traditions, values and lifestyles. I learned so much from these individuals and I felt the Moroccan people in general were so kind and helpful that I would recommend to anyone that they use this company and visit this tremendous country. And, of course, the desert camping and camel and monkey experiences were unrivaled. Thank you DesertTrips and Said, Hassan and Mustafa!

Anyone thinking about doing any trip through Morocco would be lucky to book through this amazing team. I can't say enough good things about our experience with deserttrips. From our first conversation, Med was available, and attentive in planning our entire trip. The trip was planned and set out so easily for me and my Family, with all our needs catered for during the booking process. The best part of it all was my experienced personal driver, SAID, without whom this trip would not have been the same. The guides were excellent and definitely felt like we were in good hands. He made everything so smooth for us to treat the traveling process like a holiday rather than a stressful experience. Our tour took us beyond the city and into more rural areas, through different landscapes, and gave us the chance to see more of Morocco than we ever would have found on our own. This trip nourished my soul in ways I never imagined -- I experienced so much inner joy and happiness. I absolutely plan on using Deserttrips again and I would recommend you all to do the same!

I am extremely happy I decided to make this trip with this fantastic team. I had originally thought of arranging a vacation for my wife and myself on my own. Going with Deserttrips made sure that everything that needed to be done was done and we had a perfectly organized vacation without having to do any organizing...my experience with everything from booking this trip to arriving there, my accommodations, and airport pick up & drop-off, and any questions I had were happily answered in detailed. Med was just fantastic in delivering all of my queries after and before I booked this amazing Moroccan trip! The standard of accommodation was much higher than we had expected and the team booked us beautiful exceptional adventures. This was my first trip to an African country but it most definitely won’t be my last! Our guide, Saiid, was nothing short of fantastic and he had a massive impact in ensuring all our needs were catered for. He was so knowledgeable, kind, flexible, personable, caring, and fun, thank you so much for being my friend on this amazing journey as well! I learned so much during this trip and had the ultimate experience. We made the most of our visits to each city and enjoyed every one. Chefchaouen, Fes, and Marrakesh are full of culture and interesting places to see and are very cool and stylish also! You could have any kind of food that you could possibly want and in very lovely locations. I have brought back all of these appealing, fun, and new memories I made in Morocco back home with so much love! This company is great to book with and comes highly recommended. Deserttrips made it so easy and stress-free to travel from southern and northern Morocco. Can’t wait to book my next trip with them!

10-day and 9-night of nonstop incredible experiences from beginning to ending. Our original summer plans fell through and we were lucky to find this tour. In most cases, we like to plan everything ourselves, but having no time to do so, we picked this tour that covers the whole spectrum of activities in Morocco, and we are grateful we did. It is a great itinerary, well thought out and paced, that encompasses most of the major attractions, sites, and cities that you would want to be introduced to on a first visit to Morocco. Med's responsiveness to our many emails and questions involved in the planning process of our trip was excellent. I just told him the dates we would be in Morocco and he came up with a perfect itinerary. Our driver/guide Saiid was fabulous, he guided us very well on the local things to see and do and was extremely punctual, polite, and good fun. He always made sure we were safe and would only proceed with activities that we were interested in. Saiid likes sharing fun facts & historical information on the road (he drives very WELL ) And I really like that. Saiid was with us throughout this long trip from picking us up from Casablanca, driving to Rabat, Chefchaouen, and Fes, driving the long trip to Sahara Desert, and finally to Marrakech. We loved all of the cities we visited and we really became enticed by Marrakech as the gateway to the Sahara. This place exceeded our expectations of a Riad Nesma Suites. It was stunning, authentic, and comfortable. Getting to this place through the Marrakech alleys made the experience even more memorable. The food they served us was also delicious! In Merzouga the camp was exceptional! The place, people, the beauty of the desert was beyond how I'd imagined it would be. We felt so safe & we enjoyed ourselves to the fullest! The desert during a full moon is stunning! (Leave early enough so you won’t miss the sunset and plan your trip to coincide with a full moon) We added on the private local guides at all the historical sights which I'd highly recommend as a great way to take in the key information and highlights of the sites without being overwhelmed or wasting time deciding what to see. Moreover, if you can add an extra day to your visits here, you won't regret the extra time exploring some other northern cities or just having some more time to relax in the Desert. In fact the tour operators were always responsive to our questions and requests and even worked with us during the tour when we wanted to explore changes. All in all a very positive experience and can't recommend this tour highly enough.

We've just returned from our unforgettable family vacation in Morocco where we visited the Sahara Desert, the Imperial Cities, and the village of Ait Benhaddou...etc. First of all, I would like to say a special word of thanks to Saiid and our local guide in Fes and Marrakech, Hassan & Mustapha. You didn't treat us as tourists but as your friends or families. The historical explanation you provided us was fascinating and always very clear. You also always answered questions that piqued our curiosity or interest. Thank you so much! This already began an amazing journey with great excitement and anticipation for the trips. Saiid was a great driver and also acted as a tour guide at times - with lots of helpful suggestions, he went above and beyond being our driver, giving us interesting information as he drove us from place to place, and even walking along with us during our camel ride, so he could take some of the best pictures we have from the trip! I'm so glad I decided to go on this Morocco tour as it has greatly enhanced my life –with a treasure trove of knowledge and very warm feelings about Morocco. We enjoyed myself so much that we would sign up for this tour again! The car was comfortable and a relaxing way to get around the country. The company was so reliable and Med’s responsiveness to our many emails and questions involved in the planning process of our trip was excellent they were very helpful in working out the fine details to ensure we experienced the Morocco that we wanted fully. Would recommend it if you’re looking for a driver whilst on vacation (and would suggest asking for Saiid!). Technically speaking all the services we received were completely satisfying and first class; the arrangements in the various Riads were perfect. Every stop was fantastic and each hotel was amazing. Every restaurant recommendation was gorgeous, and each tour we had was incredible. We loved everything from the dromedary riding to the many live (concerts) of music we heard and participated in, to the fantastic night in the desert, and to the wonderful sunset and sunrise in the dunes. Morocco was a wonderful country to visit! Our time in Morocco was like a flash! Our entire family was disappointed to leave, and we are thinking of coming back in the future! From my all family, I send you a big thank you for the excellent tour. If in the future we get a new opportunity to come to Morocco, we'll be sure to get in touch with you! If you're visiting Morocco for the first time, you can't go wrong if you book your tour with this company. Thanks for a wonderful experience. I give 5 stars and would Highly recommended! without hesitation!

We had an INCREDIBLE!! 10-day tour of Morocco booked with this tour company. We had a magnificent time and you won't go wrong with "DesertTrips", it was very reasonable compared to other private tours we've done. We felt like everything that we booked was perfect. Every aspect of the tour was extremely well-organized from the airport pick-up to the drop-off, we met our driver, Khalil, who was professional and kind, a gentleman we all adored and trusted and he made the trip go incredibly smoothly. The planning portion of the trip was led by Med who was always very quick to respond and very patient with all of our questions and changes. Just ask him anything and he will definitely get the answers for you!! Their services were prompt, professional, and courteous. Whenever we checked in to a new place Khalil did all the coordinating, all we had to do was show up with the bags and there was someone from the Riad waiting to greet us. we really couldn’t imagine a better driver/guide that could show me Morocco. While I learned a bit of Berber and Arabic to be able to check in and out, it was really helpful to have someone who spoke the language handling this for us instead! Regarding lodging, the places we stayed were great and as expected or better. It was always clean, luxurious riads, well-located for the activities we were undertaking. One great aspect is going out and exploring and enjoying the outdoor areas as well as the courtyards! The food at Riads was excellent and breakfast was included in all Riads. Riad Ahlam in Fes was beautiful on the inside and had an excellent menu along with some of the best service. Our stay at Oasis Luxury Camp and Dar Hassan in Merzouga was way more luxurious than we were expecting and again the food for both meals was incredible. The Riad in Dades was lavish and the pool in the courtyard was gorgeous. Our driver/guide Khalil the wonderful Berber man from the Desert!! He was absolutely awesome, warm, friendly, very helpful engaging man, and catered to our every need. We spent a lot of time with him yet had our private time as well when touring, eating, etc. He was likewise a safe driver and we felt comfortable with him every moment of the trip. He was knowledgeable about the country, geography, history, culture, and the spots to experience the best views, guidance on where to buy things we were interested in, and always made an effort to ensure we had what we needed. In regard to the excursions, we really enjoyed them all. In particular, I noticed how much more personal the activities were compared to what others had. while in Marrakech we had a private guided tour so it was just the four of us plus our local guide. While walking through the Souk we would occasionally see large tour groups bustling about and it just looked unpleasant compared to our one-on-one experience. It was really nice to have that private experience and that's something I wouldn't have thought about if I were to manual all the excursions myself. It was one of the most unforgettable experiments of my life. We’d highly recommend it to anyone who wants to truly get a personalized experience in Morocco!! We look forward to exploring other destinations in the future.

Our trip to Morocco was outstanding. We booked this trip online and were immediately connected with the tour operator, Mohamed with Desert Trips, who was very responsive, answered all of our questions and accommodated all of our changes to customize this trip based on our requests. Our driver and guide, Hssaine, was amazing. Always smiling, friendly, welcoming and extremely knowledgeable about Moroccan history, geography and culture. We had great conversations that gave us a real understanding about life in Morocco in the past and present time. He was always available to drive us anywhere we wanted to go in the cities, no matter what time. The local guides in Fes and Marrakech were also outstanding. They kept the tours interesting, fun and exciting - never a dull moment. I highly recommend Desert Trips to anyone planning a trip to Morocco and give Hssaine our highest recommendation.

My parents and I just completed a 10D and 9N tour of Morocco with DesertTrips. We contacted Med just three weeks before we departed. With his knowledge in this area, he can quickly come up with an itinerary for us and give prompt responses to our requests and inquiries. Actually, we initially planned the Morocco trip on our own. But DesertTrips made it easy and comfortable. The result was exactly what we had hoped for. If you are thinking of booking a tour through Morocco, stop looking at other options and book here!! You won’t be disappointed. Our guide and driver, Khalil was wonderful, and this is the most important part of our experience. Khalil was an extraordinary individual whose driving skills were excellent and calming, from city driving to rural backroads he was consistently smooth and safe. With his sense of humor, attentiveness, and professionalism, he was always ready to share the historical, religious, and cultural aspects of Morocco, help us to tackle our problems, let us never feel bored, and give us practical reminders. He was very inciteful during our stops along the route walking with us through the various sites and adding a special charm that only he could deliver. It was really a pleasure to spend our vacation with him. The vehicle we traveled in was clean, up-to-date, and spacious. Also, he supplied us with bottled water each day to make us feel comfortable along the way. I truly can’t imagine a more organized, responsive, or trustworthy company to work with. Our local private guide in Marrakech was a dream come true. He gave us a special tour through the old city, Bahia, and El Badii Palaces...etc, which was fabulous. We got to see so much and learn so much about Moroccan life and culture. His kind demeanor and informative presentation were exemplary. He ended the tour by bringing us to a great restaurant in the newer section of the city. The other local private guide in Fes. He was a funny and special individual who needed to be applauded for his presentation filled with historical and everyday knowledge as a local Fes resident, From start to finish it was very well organized. Every Riad & hotel was first class as outlined by Med, and the people operating the accommodations are genuine, wonderful, and want to ensure you every need is met. The favorite part of the trip for my parents and me was definitely the night we spent in the Desert we had fun during the camel riding and saw the most beautiful sunset in the desert!! Under the starry night and Berber music, we had the most unforgettable and splendid time there!! For lunch, Khalil would stop us at local restaurants which were all Our itinerary and offered tasty Morrocan food. We do spend quite a lot of time in the car but the ride was very smooth and comfortable, plus we frequently stop at different cities to explore. Khalil was an absolute star. We certainly felt we benefitted from his local knowledge, especially in the Sahara Desert! All thanks to Khalil for touring us around. This is by far the best tour I’ve had with my family!! This tour is worth every penny! Highly recommended!!

Our driver Hssaine was kind, friendly, courteous, punctual, and a great communicator throughout our over 1100km trip. He always put our needs first and we feel like we left Morocco having a new friend. Highly recommend him as your driver/guide through this amazing country.

As seasoned world travelers, our trip to Morocco is already considered one of our best vacations. We found nothing but Moroccan smiles, acts of kindness and friendship across our visit. From beginning to end, the Desert Trips team facilitated every movement, short cut, entrance, with possible things to do or see aided by a team of professional city guides, considered insiders by the locals, experts on past and present of Moroccan culture, and care about you and your precious vacation time in Morocco.  I could rave about the entire tour, but I want to highlight a few things here: Communication up to the trip, during, and after was excellent. Med asked some basic questions a day or two after booking and answered our questions as we asked them. During the trip we relied on Wi-Fi at local restaurants, Hotel rooms, and our Riads – never had a problem with getting connected. So, for us, a SIM card was not needed. Due to flight changes, Med booked us in a hotel in Casablanca vice Marrakesh the night before departure – the hotel two minutes from the airport. Said our driver and guide outside of the cities (the cities are contracted for their own guides), is one of the kindest, smartest, and safest persons we have ever met. Somehow, Said picked up on our family’s humor on the first day and became more of a friend than guide! As a driver his skills are first class – seriously he is better than I could have attempted and we always felt safe. Said’s wit and presentation is flawless and his ability to surf the crowds and get you to the secret spots were evident. We snapped way too many pictures on free time and then asked Said to help us figure out what we photographed – he was always eager to help. Said really shined when we arrived in the Sahara. We immediately went off-road in the 4x4, plowed through to our waiting camels and got to riding! Don’t worry your luggage is being taken to the camp. The supper, our tent, and the live music played around the fire amazing – Said is an excellent drummer! One of the hardest goodbyes we’ve done, but we want to come again and Said, Desert Trips will be our first priority for planning and touring.  Said has texted us since our departure to make sure we made it home safely, and even sent a follow-up video of the Berber boy and his baby Camel in Dades saying hello! Said is a true, genuine ambassador of Morocco! Traveler tips: the only ATM that does not charge 4-5% fees are the ATMs associated with the Moroccan Post Office. Look for the yellow store front for Maroc Post. Also, add WhatsApp for easy texts between team, get a VPN for your phone – leave in Airplane mode, no Wi-Fi. We brought small candies for the kids, expect to be a little tired – this is so worth it!

Our very first impression on the first day we landed in Morocco was "Don't look outside, look inside!" Seems nothing to see outside the buildings, but when you look inside, wow, surprise, amazing.....! Perhaps it is the philosophy we learnt from Moroccan. Heartfelt thanks to DesertTrip & our wonderful & caring driver, Said. No question, it was one of our best trips in life. As a couple, among others, we were fascinated by the artistic & handcrafted heritage palaces & mosques, touching sunset & sunrise. To our surprise, we were moved by the skillful photography of our great guide/driver in the starry & almost completely dark desert. Must not forget to mention those souvenirs like paintings, lightings, ceramics, potteries. All are handmade, representative & value for money. Surely, there isn't enough room to write & text to express more about this entranting Morocco. Simply leave it to you to discover!

We have a fun and memorable holiday in Morocco. We stayed at in beautiful riads, had the most unforgettable campfire night in Sahara desert under the millions stars. And we had a super helpful and humorous guide Said, who knows everyone in Morocco! Highly recommended.

We arranged our Moroccan tour from home after reading many glowing reviews. We incorporated some customization to align with our schedule, and our guide Khalil handled these adjustments seamlessly. Our 13-day tour took us from Casablanca to Rabat, Chefchaouen, Fez, Marrakech, and Essaouira. Our trip was nothing short of incredible, and it all began with our remarkable and knowledgeable tour guide who cared for us from day one. Khalil even guided us to safe neighborhoods. Through his connections in the "Berber Network," he secured us fantastic accommodations in various Rabats, where the staff was consistently exceptional. It's essential to maintain a positive attitude, show compassion, and embrace the bright side of life to truly appreciate this experience. While their service is excellent, with assistance in carrying luggage, purchasing water, and taking you to stores, there might be some situations that present unexpected challenges. If you're extremely high-maintenance, this trip may not be the best fit, as it involves quite a bit of walking, stairs, and navigating uneven surfaces throughout. One of the unforgettable highlights of the trip was the Berber camp. It began with a camel ride from Merzouga City across the dunes to a place known as Erg Chebbi. Here, we enjoyed a hearty meal and then gathered around a Berber campfire. The evening included Berber music, jokes, and a captivating Berber dance. The night ended with individual photos under the starry desert sky. To truly make the most of this adventure, bring your appreciation for the culture, a positive attitude, and an adventurous spirit. This is a trip of a lifetime that rewards those who approach it with an open heart and an open mind.
