We had such a great time on Hermes II. This is an amazingly well preserved 1917 boat that does three different tours - a 1hr tour, a 2.5 hr your, and a 4.5hr fishing and sightseeing tour. Because of our available time, we opted for the 1 hr tour. The boat is very conveniently docked right in the center of town - very easy to finds and access. The crew is fabulous!!! They took the time to ensure we had an excellent cruise - and they are so friendly and expert. The boat is quite stable and in perfect condition - it was a real joy to go out and sightsee. Highly recommended!!!

Had a fun and fact filled morning with the crew on board Hermes II. I felt particularly special as I was the only person with them that morning so I got treated like royalty. Particularly impressed that they ran the tour for one person! Would thoroughly recommend

This was a wonderful introduction to Tromso and being able to see the city from the water. The sun came out and gave us a picturesque setting. Highly recommend if you want to learn about Tromso, the history, and have beautiful views! It was perfect.

Fantastic time with Truls and Frode on Hermes II. Frode was a brilliant captain and Truls an amazing and fun host, with so much interesting knowledge on the ships history and the surrounding areas. Highly recommend this beautiful cruise with wonderful hospitality plus stunning views!

An amazing experience! Tromsø and the neighbourhood are magnificent on their on, but from a bout the view is the best! Also the boat is supercool, Trols and Trodo, the hosts, are the absolute best: the talk, the stories, the way they move around the boat - just spectacular 😍

Very good experience with the trip on the Hermes II, a ship full of history. Thanks to the good work of Truls, who is a very didactic and fun guide, they make you have a great time and enjoy the surroundings of Tromso from another perspective. It depends on the time of year that you go, you can find different landscapes, I was in September and it was a nice sunny day, seeing animals and breathing fresh air. Thank you so much

We couldn't be more happy with the trip. Truls was excellent host, wonderful with the kids and informative and funny. We will certainly come back for a longer trip one day. Overnight trip would be a dream come true!!!

We booked for the 1 hour trip on a sunny day in February. We had the boat to ourselves so had a very dedicated tour from the guide who was clearly extremely knowledgeable about Tromso and the boat. It also included a hot drink and delicious homemade biscuits. If I was being picky, I would've liked some time during the trip on our own just to take in the views and take some pictures, and for the fact that it was rather expensive for what it was. However, we absolutely can't fault the friendliness and welcoming staff who made this one of our favourite activities whilst visiting Tromso.

Seeing Aurora was surreal, yes its given! But! Another gem that’s waiting to be discovered just in the heart of the city, in the harbor. Hermes! Its luxurious, elegant but a humble boat with lots of features inside, rich in history and experience! The tour was never boring, the whole tour was so cold coz its winter, but the warmth of hospitality and smile of the staffs especially Truls 🙌🏼 made us feel warm all throughout the tour! Truls was the jack of all trades the heart of the boat, telling stories, cracking jokes, making and serving us hot drinks, talking photos of us, Everything you can think of! The staffs at the office are very hospitable and friendly, as well as the boat crew! The view was superb during the boat tour! After the trip Truls gave us a souvenir . We will definitely come back! We already recommended HERMES to our friends!

A brilliant trip to see Tromso from the water and learn a bit about the local history. Great photo opportunities also. Perfect if you are short of time and an amazing boat and the crew were great, telling stories and providing refreshments. Would definitely recommend and I imagine that longer trips are even more enjoyable.

This was a great use of an hour during a lovely sunny day in Tromso. The crew were so friendly and nice to talk to as well as informative. The boat was beautiful and you could tell they were passionate about what they did. Definitely recommend this to others.

My boyfriend and I did our cruise in February and it was amazing. The boat Hermes II is an authentic and handmade one rich of charm and history . The guide is so prepared and nice, he told us a lot of curiosity and informations about the city too and its buildings we could see from the boat, while navigating in the beautiful Tromso sea surreunded by a spectacular view.  We ve also been invited to the cabin when we ate some biscuits with a local tea with other two tourists, while the guide explained us the beautiful boat history and then let us free to explorie it. So if you re searching for a characteristic experience, in a thrue historic norvegia boat with a great company and a spectacular view of the city, plus the adrenaline of navigating in the strong norvegia sea, that s the best option you could choose.

The guide was very kind and very involved in his explanations, also about the photos. I recommend this activity. The boat ride was very nice !

We thoroughly enjoyed our one hour trip with the crew. It was snowing, but we were entertained by Truls with the history of Tromsø and the area. The restored wooden craft is delightful. Highly recommended.

The cruise was excellent! Even though the weather didn't spoil us (cloudy and rainy at times) the time spent onboard was great. Altogether seven visitors; we were welcomed, taken care of, offered cookies and hot drinks (excellent in that weather) We could see around, hear the story of Hermes II (wonderful job saving the boat's history! and looking ahead!). The views of the Tromso area were fantastic, so were the stories told by our guide (sorry, don't remember the name). One could feel he does it with passion, which only adds to the whole thing. Thank you Hermes II crew for this adventure. Anyone wondering what to do in Tromso? - take the cruise, it's definitely worth it and you'll support a good thing.

This small group, 1 hour tour was so worth it! The guides and staff are all very friendly and knowledgeable about Tromso. They are passionate about sharing the local history and traditions. In addition they can give you great tips about what to do for the rest of your stay in Tromso, where to eat, what to see, where to get good photo opportunities, etc. The boat is beautifully restored and a joy to experience. This tour was one of the highlights of our stay in Tromso. I would highly recommend it.

Excellent tour and professional crew! The trip with the boat was very enjoyable, the boat is really beautiful and we spent very nice time enjoying the harbor and the sunset 🌄 We passed under the bridge, eat cookies and drunk local tea in the warm cabin.Truls told us stories about the city and the boat and made our day just perfect ☺️ The best well spent time and money in Tromsø !!! We are really thankful to Truls who advised us how to spend the rest of our stay enjoying the landscape and witness the Auroras !!!!!!

Wonderful trip between the island and the mainland, in a really beautiful wooden boat. Even if the weather is less than perfect this boat is nice enough to pass a fantastic moment on its own. But we were so lucky that we got a flat ocean and some beautiful afternoon light. Great guide with interesting facts and hyggelige anecdotes :) 10/10 would do it again :)
