This bike tour was amazing! It was a great chance to get outside of the major cities of Japan and see what the countryside has to offer. Seeing Japan’s beautiful mountains and rivers via bike was the way to go. The e-bikes made it super easy to get around and up hills and make this tour doable for a lot of people. Dai is also an amazing guide! He goes above and beyond to make sure everyone is having a good experience and is very knowledgeable and open to sharing Japanese culture. I’d recommend this tour to any and everyone looking to get outdoors and be in nature. It’s an experience I won’t forget.

This bike tour was a great break from the busy cities of Japan! It was a great experience getting to see the mountains and rivers of Japan via bike. Dai was very knowledgeable and really cares about sharing the Japanese culture. The e-bikes make it very easy to get around. We also had one of the best meals I’ve had while in Japan on this trip. It felt like they were cooking for family. I highly recommend this tour for anyone looking for a different and fun way to see Japan’s countryside.

My family and I were very impressed with this trip. It was an important experience riding a bike with family and friends. On a cool day and has a beautiful view It might be far and quite difficult for me. But it was so worth doing. Once in a lifetime. Thank you guide Daisuke, you were very friendly to us.

We had a great time on the 6-hour Maze e-bike tour with Dai in early November. Our route took us through the Hida-Hagiwara town centre, then up the mountains towards Maze village, and the pedal-assist function on the Panasonic e-bikes used on this tour made the uphill portions a breeze and super fun. We really appreciated Dai’s many conversations with our small group throughout the tour, especially his candid sharing about how he moved on from busy Tokyo city life to the countryside. Tour highlights for us were: our bento lunches, thoughtfully prepared using local ingredients by one of the ladies from the village (she even handwrote a menu so that Dai could explain to us what we were having that day); getting to see and touch the crystal blue waters of the Maze River; stopping by a roadside mountain spring to refill our water bottles; seeing pockets of autumn colours on the surrounding hills and mountainsides. We would recommend this to anyone who enjoys cycling!

We had a great time on this tour and Dai was an excellent guide. After visiting all of the city hotspots, visiting Takayama and cruising through the countryside on this cycle tour was a really relaxing way to end our trip. We got to see see the contrast between the city and rural areas, and the packed lunch was one of the best we had!

We had the most wonderful time with our guide Dai, discovering the Hida mountainous countryside, local shires and enjoyed a beautiful prepared Japanese lunch. We had a great time biking the rural villages surrounding Hida with Dai. The scenery, lunch (bento box made by a friend of Dai) and exercise made for a day we will cherish for a long time. Thank you Dai and we wish you every success with your biking tours.

We had an excellent time on the ebike tour on November 1st in Hida Hagiwara and the town of Waze. Dai was an excellent guide & provide great insights on the countryside and his move from Tokyo. We learned about the origins of the Shinto temple in the village and about the Ayu fish found in the river during the summer. The lunch at the local eatery was excellent and we enjoyed the short riverside picnic as well with the Fall colors. I highly recommend this ebike tour.

A great way to see the local countryside. Dai was a enjoyable informative owner/guide. Bikes were easy to ride even uphill. It was a fun way to spend an afternoon.

My husband and I loved this tour. E-bikes were great, new and very easy to use. It was so much fun! We had a very small group, with only two of us and an another couple from New Zealand. We saw beautiful places that only a local like Dai would know. It was also a wonderful opportunity to ask him questions about Japan and hear his opinions and thoughts on many things. We spent 2 weeks in Japan and this tour was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. If you would like to see a truly authentic side of Japan, this tour is for you! :)

It was really nice to spend the day in the countryside! Even if you are not super fit, the electric bike will make it super easy. It was a rainy day but that didnt stop us from having an amazing experience! Would definitely repeat!

This is the perfect bicycle tour for anyone with a love of nature, peace and tranquility mixed with a bit of exercise. After a couple of weeks touring the cities of Japan this adventure was exactly what our family needed. Me, my wife and daughters aged 14 & 16 toured through the countryside with Dai who is very kind and informative on many subjects. This tour is a product of Dai’s passion for nature and the local countryside. ‘Commercial’ it is not. Just pedal along and enjoy the wonders of nature, watch the breeze across the rice fields and finishing with a nice river soak. Truly memorable.

Truly enjoyed the tour: its so nice to be away of the hustling and bustling of the bigger cities and really feel the countryside of the Japan. This was a great way to see a little slice of hidden Japan in a village that other tourists just pass by. The joining point was easy to get to on the train from Takayama, and the cycling through the rural areas was enjoyable. Lunch was amazing and made using some local ingredients. While you still need to pedal, the ebike made things much easier. Dai has done this before so knows when to stop and rest. I would reccomend this tour to anyone who likes cycling and wants a day away from the crowds.

We did the full day bike ride with Dai our guide who was very informative about life in Japan and about the Maze area. The bikes were in great condition and well maintained. We stopped and had a locally made Bento Box for lunch, sitting in a park overlooking the Maze Valley - it was one of the best Bento Boxes we’ve had full of fresh local food. I would highly recommend this bike ride.

It is an amazing tour I have ever joined in Japan. This is my first to experience somethings that are unique and what the normal tourists can experience. Good landscape and time with other tour members and Dai. Dai is very passionate and kind to tell the local history and answer any questions during the trip.

This was such an amazing experience, highly recommend it to anyone who wants to see the beauty of the countryside, unlike anything else in Japan! Especially if you are making a trip to nakasendo as well, this is pretty close by

Had a wonderful time with Dai and was definitely a highlight of our 3 week vacation to Japan and Korea. It was great to get off the beaten path and see the Japanese countryside. The views were spectacular and the pace was perfect. Dai is a great guide, made sure that we were safe and comfortable, and provided interesting stories of the area.
