I had a good day with the guide Dipu. The hike is not too difficult, the steepest part is at the end but it is done downhill. We passed through some villages and saw the mountains from the Australian camp. The sky was a little cloudy but we caught a glimpse of some Himalayah mountains.

Great day hike close to Pokhara. Short, steep climb for about an hour to spectacular views at Australian Camp. Gentle hike to Dhampus for a tasty lunch. Raj was a fun and informative guide. I would highly recommend him for future hikes and treks.

I was looking for a short trek and this fully delivered. Early morning pickup followed by a steady ascent to Australian Base Camp and Dhampus Village, taking in the gorgeous views of Pokhara valley along the way. The lunch was a delicious mix of rice and vegetables freshly grown from the surrounding farms. The trek also offers a glimpse into the life of the locals living high up and away from the central areas of Pokhara. There are not too many hikers in this path, allowing photos to be taken crowd-free which I enjoyed. A big shoutout to my guide Roman who was everything a guide should be - reliable, knowledgeable, hospitable. He constantly kept a keen eye on my safety, pointing out slippery surfaces to watch out for and making sure I’m not lagging behind. He also graciously fielded questions I had about Nepalese culture. At various points of the trek he takes pictures for you which for a solo traveler is much appreciated. If you’re short on time and looking for a unforgettable trek off the beaten path in Pokhara, look no further. Rest assured you’ll be in good hands with Roman and his team.

I’ve booked this tour in July which is in rainy time so may be hard to observe the Himalayan from the Australian camp. However, I was lucky enough cause my trip was on a rarely sunny day with clear sky, so that I could see the snow mountains and beautiful landscape. I was quite exhausted when going up to the Australian camp ‘cause there were so many steps. But my effort was worth it. The landscape from high point was brilliant. My guider is Mr. Babu. He was patient and tried to slow down when I was exhausted. He also told me a lot about religion, Nepal and his experience. You might forget your tiredness during these interesting conversations. I’ve earned lots of priceless experience after this trip. Awesome!

Though the weather was not good and I could not see mountains from Dhampus area, I enjoyed the atmosphere of young leaves and the trekking through mountain villages. The guide was an experienced person and has a good knowledges of plants, birds, and weather. He suggested a shelter before it starts to rain several times. I wish to visit again when the weather is more stable.

We were old couples and we wanted go for ashort hike and roman suggested the Best place To goand we went there. Australian camp hiking is the Best place. Thank you Roman.

I never trekked before and never in my entire life have hiked a mountain. So I booked this trip without any knowledge at all about the experience. Yes I know there was trekking and all along I thought it will be on a flat surface. Little did I know that we’ll trek going to the Australian Base Camp that is 2060 meters above sea level. Heck I didn’t know that high. So there. Roman guided me all throughout this adventure, ensuring that I won’t fall into ravine ha ha. Tip for the joiners? Ensure you have the stamina to walk for more than 3 hrs. Be fit enough to go uphill and downhill because you’ll need it most in this adventure. Invest on good trekking shoes and trekking poles. I had a hard time going down because I didn’t have that stick/pole. And above all, enjoy the scenery especially when you reach the base camp. Enjoyed the majestic Annapurna Range and the Dhampus Village as well. The Dal Bhat lunch is also sooo good and the cook even refilled my plate. Thank you Roman for this experience and more power to you.

I booked one day trip with Breathe Nepal Trekking which was really exiting and good for slow trekkers. I contacted to Roman and got the nice and frequent responses from him. In the hiking time he was my guide which became my pluspoint in the sense that the guide was the same person to whom I was contacted. I really liked the way of talking and behaving to others. Our experience with Roman and our hike to Australian Basecamp and Dhampus was *better* than excellent - it was superbly enjoyable on so many fronts. We lucked out with the weather, and had blue skies and amazing views throughout the two days we spent with Roman. Roman was always on time, professional, friendly and knowledeable. The driver he worked with was great too. The hike to Dhampus included lots of Nature. And during our walks, when queried, Roman was a font of information on local customs, farming, cuisine, culture, politics and philosophies. It was like hiking with a good friend, in unfamiliar but welcome territory. The Dhampus hike was a great experience on all fronts. We liked it so much we asked Roman to show us around the next day too. We did sunrise on the Annapurna range at Sarangkot, and a visit to the Peace Pagoda the next day, as well as a visit to the Tibetan settlement in Pokhara. Superb 2nd day, all the way around. My wife Amy and I most highly recommend touring with Roman, the Dhampus day trek, and other activities in the area with him - you would be lucky to tour with him on your visit, if you can!

Weather was against during my few days in Pokhara, but despite it, I was having a great time. Roman and his team do a professional job and love their work. I can only recommend.
