I was really looking forward to this! Sadly the weather didn’t cooperate. Many roads/backroads that we were going to go on were closed. They called us that morning to let us know and gave us the option to switch to another day or cancel. Sadly this was our last day, so we had to cancel. I love how this company put their customer first! We will definitely be using them next time we come down!

Absolutely perfect! I rented an one day rental for my husband’s 50th birthday. It was perfect thanks to SMJR! Jeep was in fantastic shape. Check in/return process was smooth and fast. Trip suggestion, via map, was laid out amazingly well. We packed a picnic lunch and enjoyed the day. Will definitely rent from SMJR again.

SMJR is a fantastic company to rent from. My husband and I have rented from them the last 2 years for our vacation and next year plan to do a 2 day rental. The jeeps are very well kept and the service is professional and courteous. I highly recommend them for your vacation fun!

A must do in Pigeon Forge! Staff is awesome & extremely knowledgeable. They provided us with a map consisting of preferred driving directions. Our low mileage jeep was spotless and filled with gas for us. You must see the Smoky Mountains from within, a jeep rental is the perfect fit. Mark & Rhonda

Rent a jeep! The mountains are better seen in a jeep. We had so much fun in this jeep. The staff was friendly. She gave us a map, which we followed. My only suggestion is,you don’t have to follow the whole map that is given. ( the staff did say,it’s just a suggestion) We would totally do this again!! The store is really nice too! Cool items! Bought a really cool shirt and stickers!

Renting a jeep from Smoky Mountain Jeep Outfitters was the best experience while staying in Pigeon Forge. We saw a couple of bears on journey. The views were spectacular. I would definitely recommend renting a jeep for a day from them.

I highly recommend rentals Jeep Smoky Mountain Rentals. This is the 2nd time when we rented a Jeep at Smoky Mountain Jeep Rentals. Their customer service is exceptional! Lady gave us many advice where to go to get the best view of the Great Smoky Mountains and the view was breathtaking! They gave us a little map so we knew where to go. They also provide all year permit to enter to the National Parks in the area so you don’t have to worry about where you can park the car. Pick up time is at 11:00am and drop off at 9:30am the next day. You can also drop off the car after closing time. There is a special mailbox to drop off the key. Whatever will works best for you. Don’t hesitate and rent a Jeep at this place, it’s really worth it!

We took a trip as a family with my 89 year old mother. Everything was so easy. The keep was ready, the service people were courteous, no wait time and my mom was able to get in and out of the Jeep. The people at the service desk suggested routes she could take. We had a great time and the views were beautiful!

This place is a great little Jeep store but do NOT rent Jeeps from them. We come down from north Jersey every year for the Jeep Invasion but do not bring our Jeeps. (we drive XJs and fuel costs too much to tow them down) This year we decided to rent a Jeep for the day. They were very accommodating and allowed us to bring our dogs. This was much appreciated! We were looking forward to a day of Jeeping with the dogs. Half way into our trip, the auto start failure light came on. We don’t need auto start so we ignored it. Then the check engine light starts blinking. We are in the mountains, there is no cell service and we got our dogs. My son, (who has a unique job, but he basically works on Jeeps, modifies them for off roading, adds accessories, diagnoses random issues, etc. He knows Jeeps in and out.) has us pull over so he can check this out. Long story but he determines the jeep is way overdue for an oil change and it has a coolant leak. Now if you rent out vehicles, you are responsible for an oil change. You have a major influx of people coming. You know the Jeeps will be rented. You know they need oil changes. This Jeep was almost out of oil. If we knew nothing about Jeeps, we could have kept driving and run it out of oil! Now we are stuck babying it till we get cell service! Pulling over every time it gets too warm. We get to a town, get cell service and are able to purchase oil and a hose clamp for the leak. My son adds the oil, fixes the leak. We call to let them know we got this issue. We are told, add water and drive it back. We are two hours out! Not sure what they would have done if we were not knowledgable and competent but ok. We finally get back. We were not able to make any stops, see sights, etc most of our time was spent sitting around waiting for it to cool down before going further. We got back and got a sorry that happened. That is all! No, we were not refunded the cost of the oil and clamp either. No big deal, we didn’t top off the tank. But we spent all that money to rent and spent half the time limping along with a busted Jeep because no one bothered to change the oil when it was due. Keep in mind the change oil light comes on at 25%. This was at 0%. That is not one days worth of driving. The store employee was sympathetic to our plight and told us she would definitely let the owner know. But we got nothing. Not even an acknowledgment. Sorry but we could have run that thing out of oil, seized the engine, and we didn’t. You are welcome.

Great surprise for my new husband while on our honeymoon. We had a blast and enjoyed the mountains. Great memories and pics!

SMJR is awesome. We have rented from them before and have had no issues. They had are jeep ready when we arrived and they were quick to go over p/w and rules to get us on our way. We would highly recommend them any time you visit to satisfy your jeep rental needs.

The directions were not that good, overall we loved the trip but got lost several times. also she said navigation didn’t work but we had to get a cord to charge phone and the navigation then worked. We also didn’t know that we were supposed to go i it North Carolina with this trip. One of the reasons we got lost was because of this. The views were amazing.

Disappointed a few of the trails were closed (NOT SMJR issue/ weather&wildlife!) but the ladies were so helpful and recommended another trail which brought us through TN and NC for the stunning views. The Jeep was BEAUTIFUL inside and out. Thought about a guided jeep tour but for the price to rent your own and do whatever you wanted, it was worth it! As a Jeep owner, it was nice to “try out a different version” jeep. Highly recommended!

Absolute must-do! We will definitely be back and will likely do a 2 day rental not just 1. The entire process was easy and Crystal took great care of us. Easy and quick pick up and drop off. The Jeep was clean and well maintained. It handled great on all road conditions! Some people were backing out in other vehicles on the road (Parson’s Brach) but it was easy for this Jeep. Fun shop to check out also at SMJR. They give you an easy to use map which you will absolutely need as you will have NO service at a lot of spots. We did Cade’s Cove to Parson’s branch, Tail of the Dragon and back on Foothills parkway. What a blast! Again our only regret was not having the Jeep for another day. Next time! Thank you for a wonderful experience. Highly recommend.

This was a great place to rent a Jeep and highly recommend. Great Jeep to have all 5 of my family members in for an all day drive to Smokey Mountains. Would recommend going to Clingmans Dome. The recommended route is a must to see mountain roads and true experience in the mountains but could easily get lost so be careful. Jeep itself was awesome and easy for beginner to take on and off top/windows. Staff was super nice and great customer service. Easy check in and out!!! Thanks you SMJR for our first Jeep experience being a great one.

We rent Jeeps from Smoky Mountain Jeep Rentals every summer. It is one of the highlights of our vacation. This year we packed a picnic and drove to Cades Cove. We drove about half the loop(saw a bear), them took Parson Branch Road(saw a mama bear with her cub). You cross the creek several times. This brought us out at Tail of the Dragon. We took the FootHills Parkway from here, but you could have went to Fontana Dam and Cherokee from here, too. Finished with driving around Gatlinburg that night. Crystal at SMJR is wonderful! Her and the staff at SMJR never disappoint! Michael Hill
