Cedric and Carlos were super amazing. Plenty of fresh cold water and a lot of fun! We went with family and friends of couples and he was great about keeping us hydrated and cool. Lunch was spectacular! We ordered before arriving and so the food was out in less than 20 mins. Cedric even zipped lined with me to get over my fear! Great team, great time! Highly recommend!

Yolo was an amazing tour guide. She made the experience exceptional. Her knowledge about Mayan history and culture was excellent. Our driver Christian was also really helpful and drove safely and efficiently to each of the locations. I strongly recommend this tour.

An amazing trip! The guides thought of everything and had it all prepared for us! They were very knowledgeable when we were at the sites and gave us plenty of room and flexibility to make the trip our own!

Was a superb day! Chechen Itza tour was insightful and impressive. The real surprise and highlight I wasn’t expecting was the swimming at the Cenote - absolutely incredible and a lot of fun. Thanks for having us! Muchas gracias 🙏🏻

Mario was so great! He is so kind, friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable! My husband and I booked a private tour of Chichen Itza, with lunch, and a visit to a cenote. He answered all of our questions and just had his history down in general. This was a great treat for us! A plus was that he’s a great photographer as well!

During our recent vacation to Cancun, my husband and I went on a private tour of Chichen Itza with Living Dreams Mexico. It was one of the best days ever! Our tour guide, Johnny, picked us up at 6am at our hotel. He had breakfast for us and a cooler full of cold drinks. It was a 2.5 hour drive to the site but we chatted with Johnny along the way so it went by fast. We arrived at Chichen Itza before it opened and as Johnny had already purchased our tickets, we didn’t need to wait in line. It was great being able to start our tour right when it opened as it was less busy and less hot! Johnny was very informative and he taught us a lot of interesting historical facts as we visited all of the ruins. He also took the time to show us information and maps during the visit to further explain the history of the area and people. If you want a really educational tour, then Johnny is the guide for you! After a couple of hours of visiting the site, we drove to a nearby cenote for a swim. Again, we were able to beat the crowds and enjoy our time in the cenote. After our swim, we enjoyed a traditional buffet lunch, which was incredible! We tried some local beer, Montejo, and it was very refreshing. The lunch was included in the tour price but the beer was extra (but worth it)! After lunch we stopped in the town Valladolid to pick up some souvenirs and then went back to the resort. The private tour costs a bit more than the non-private options but it is totally worth it! I would recommend booking through Living Dreams Mexico and if you get Johnny as your tour guide, you’re in for a great day!

Our tour of Chichen Itza was the absolute highlight of our trip to the Yucatan. Our driver, Carlos, did a great job taking us around, and our guide, Alejandro (Alex) was *phenomenally* knowledgeable. Our group peppered him with questions about the ruins and Mayan history for several hours and he kept showing us more cool photos and diagrams (both with printed items he'd brought along to demonstrate, and just looking them up on his phone to show us even more details) to give us further context and help us visualize what he was describing. At one point he even directed us under the shade of a tree so he could sketch out the astronomical method used at the Observatory; I should have been taking notes, it was so fascinating! If memory serves his background was studying architecture and art history and that really came through, so so interesting. The lunch was delicious (the braised pork [cochinita pibil] is a personal favorite of mine from a restaurant back home and the version here did not disappoint), and the cenote at the same location as the restaurant was just what we needed, a beautiful place to cool down that was also easily accessible (just some stairs, none of this being-lowered-down-in-a-harness business, no thank you!). It was super hot at this point so instead of walking around the town of Valladolid, Carlos drove us around and Alex pointed out some cool architecture. Then is was time for a nap on the ride back to our resort! Please book this tour and request Alex specifically. His in-depth knowledge and willingness to tailor the tour on the fly to what we were interested in made this an unforgettable experience. Thank you so much Carlos and Alex!!

Living Dreams delivers! I heard about them from a friend who had taken tours with them a couple of years ago. When I contacted them- I spoke with John, who made a point of asking what our objectives were (birding for me and archaeology/ruins for my husband). He then designed 2 awesome days for us. When we decided that we couldn't go to Mexico and not see Chichen Itza--he facilitated that too-even though it was only a week prior! We communicated via WhatsApp. John was super responsive--answered all my concerns, even gave tips on restaurants to visit while we were there in Playa. We took 3 tours with Living Dreams while we were in Playa del Carmen. Our first was to Chichen Itza-with David. He was an amazing guide, knowledgeable, informative and patient. The cenote after the ruins was perfect! I saw Turquoise Browed motmots! Our second trip was to Punta Laguna nature preserve and Coba-our guide was Sam and he was great! He picked us up at 4:30 a.m. so that we could get to the preserve in time to see as many birds as possible. At the reserve we had a park ranger who took us in to look for birds. Sam then took us to Coba and on to Akamul for lunch on the beach. Our third trip was to Muyil with Mo and he was fabulous. He made sure that our trip to Muyil was amazing. When we were talking on the drive to Muyil I shared that I had been trying to see a Toucan and he said-"I see them all the time flying across the road" and within 15 minutes he had spotted one and pointed it out to me. He even stopped so that I could get out (safely on the side of the road) and take pictures. It was the beginning of a great day--the nature walk and ruins in Muyil did not disappoint! He took us to an awesome beach for lunch-beautiful, relaxing, a perfect end to the afternoon. Book with Living Dreams, they listen to your goals and connect you with professional guides who make sure that you have a great experience.

Our guide, James, was very knowledgeable and fun! He told us lots of Mayan history and answered any questions that we had. Charlie, our driver, was also a lot of fun. We could understand their English. They also did a great job of explaining the activities we would be doing throughout the day. We really enjoyed having a tour guide at Chichen Itza. Without James, we wouldn’t have appreciated the grand history. The cenote and lunch were amazing! We even stopped for tequila tasting. It was a great excursion and we enjoyed every moment of it!

Appreciated our guide Jessica, she was knowledgeable and was very attentive to make our journey special. My wife and I had a fantastic time and would highly recommend.

We had a great day with Jessica who was friendly, professional, knowledgeable, a good driver, and generally excellent. Chichen Itzá is fascinating, as was Valladolid and the Cenote we visited. Start as early as you can to beat the crowds.

Fantastic day from start to finish we was picked up on time by our guide Alberto and we just chatted about what he wanted to show us when we arrived at the site and he was very knowledgeable on local history. On arrival he had our tickets all sorted and we just walked past a long line of people trying to get their tickets and straight in to the ruins to begin our tour we found all very interesting the time just flew by! Time for lunch and went to an amazing place for a swim as described followed by spectacular lunch all included in the price , I’m so glad we did this tour I’ve no doubt we found the best so don’t consider any of the others!

We took the private tour at 6am to beat the heat and it was perfect ! Enjoyed Chichen Itza before it was crowded. Our guide Fernando made sure we were comfortable and explained the history of the site well. The cenote and lunch was enjoyable. By the time we went to Valledolid it was too sunny and we could cut short the time there ( thanks to our private tour , couldn’t have done it in a group tour ) and Fernando drove and showed us the downtown instead of walking in the Sun. Overall, an amazing experience !

Helios was amazing! Had a great time learning and touring chichen itza. Lunch was great and the cenote was an awesome way to finish out a fun trip. The private van was perfect. One of our party was sick before we started and everyone was professional and understanding. With their help she rallied and ended up having a great time. Good option for families that don’t want to go with a giant group!

Our private tour to Chichen Itza with Guillermo was one of the best experiences of my life! The ride there was comfortable, complete with good conversation and information about the area, culture, and what to expect. Guillermo seemed to hit it off with my kiddo (age 7) and my husband, which was awesome and put us at ease for the whole day. When we arrived on site, the way our entry into Chichen Itza was expedited was unreal! Before we knew it, we were standing in front of El Castillo. We loved being able to just walk and talk and learn and ask questions. My art history-loving heart just about exploded! Guillermo was super patient with our family’s pace. After finishing at Chichen Itza, we headed to an amazing lunch spot and dip in a cenote. Got us “home” safe and sound and not one of us could stop talking about the tour, what we learned and saw - we all just had the best day ever. So grateful for Guillermo’s kindness - we will never forget this experience. Yum bootik, Guillermo!
