Annie has been giving a wonderful tour in Suzhou for us. She is very knowledge and professional about Suzhou, Hangzhou, Shanghai, etc. She definitely can tell you a lot of history and interesting stories alone the way. If you want to know Suzhou or Shanghai better, you have to ask for Annie! We had a great time today. :)

This was our second visit to Suzhou, our first was in 1995. Our guide picked us up at our hotel in a private car and took us to the train station. I don't believe that we could have purchased the Bullet Train tickets, found the correct platform, know what train was ours and found the location of our seats on the train without this experienced guide. As has been the case in the past it is difficult to find anyone who speaks English in this largest city in China. However, the Bullet Train was a fantastic piece of technology. Very smooth acceleration and deceleration and believable speed! Suzhou was extraordinarily crowded at this time in April which was during the short school break. This resulted in a crush of people. The positive aspect was seeing children, teens and multigenerational families having a good time. The boat ride on the canal was peaceful and relaxing. The walks along the main canal were carnival-like but were a sign that China is a much more prosperous country than 30 years ago. Our guide navigated all of this with skill and gave us a wealth of information about everyday life in China (her English was perefect). This was the easiest way to see this classic tourist spot.

Sunny was great, she Taylor our last day in Shangai to have the experience visiting Suzhou including the bullet train. Every step was perfectly arrange before during and after. We received excellent service from Annie. She was kind, considerate and spoke perfect English. She knew everything about Shanghai and pointed out beautiful landscape places for family pictures. She took us to a delicious local restaurant to have lunch, flagged down DiDis and navigated us safely through the High Speed train station and the boat river tours. We had an amazing experience with Annie!

We had an informative and fun time in Suzhou thanks to our wonderful guide Annie. Annie was Knowledgeable about the area and shared amazing facts about the area and culture. We learned so much! We love taking photos and she was great about letting us know the best places for photo ops. Annie suggested a wonderful place for lunch and helped us with ordering our meal. It was delicious! She was warm, personable, and had a great sense of humor. We made many impromptu stops along the way to sample hot chocolate take a lot of photos, but Annie still managed to keep us on track so that we wouldn’t miss our train. I have done a fair amount of international traveling with different tour groups, and the experience you have may come down to the tour guide you have. We used Viator to book our tour, but no matter which tour company you make your tour reservations with, be sure to ask Annie. Happy travels!

If you are traveling to Shanghai and have some spare time the trip to Suzhou is easily captured in a day. Travelling by Bullet train it is a fast and easy trip to Suzhou to experience life in another time surrounded by locals in ancient costume, the trip to visit the local town and travel by boat down heritage canals is worth doing. As English is not widely spoken, Sunny’s private tour made our experience easy to navigate and removed any stress around communication. Suzhou is a bustling town which can be quite overwhelming as it is a tourist hub for internal Chinese tourists so can be quite busy. I would recommend Sunny who had a vast knowledge of the local history of Suzhou.

This trip was one of the best I had in my entire time in China. The sights in Suzhou are truly beautiful, the experience of riding a bullet train is great, and the guide is amazing! My guide was Ruby, she had great knowledge, was extremely nice and helpful, and was overall a great person! :) I can 100% recommend this tour to anyone!

We loved our private day tour with Ruby. My husband and I were visiting Shanghai and Suzhou for the first time, and the entire tour was incredible. Ruby was super prompt to pick us up from our hotel lobby, and she created a wonderful itinerary for us. I had requested if we could see Shantang street in the evening and I sent a teahouse I had seen online as a potential stop during our trip, and she made sure to personalize our tour to all of our requests. They even accommodated a later start time in order to let us see Suzhou at night. Ruby's personality was super friendly and approachable, and she made sure to give us a ton of context on the history and background of many of the sites we saw. I'm so glad we had her along to get a much deeper level of understanding of the history behind Suzhou. At the end of the evening, she brought us to a restaurant that had the most delicious shenjianbao I've ever had in my life. At the end, she made sure that we got back to Shanghai in one piece, and even had a driver send us back to our hotel. Would definitely recommend her tour to anyone!

The tour was great, we had fun. Feifei, our beautiful tour guide was the most engaging, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and patient guide we have ever had. Not only did she have amazing recommendations, she had a genuine interest in us and a clear passion for the locations and history. She is a priceless person and the ultimate guide.

Ruby was a fantastic guide who picked us up from the lobby area of our hotel. She was warm welcoming and friendly and put us at ease straight away. We took the bullet train to Suzhou which was a quick and memorable way to transport out of Shanghai. We went to private gardens, through canals, stopped for food which was the best meal of our trip and finally took a canal boat. Ruby is an excellent guide, really friendly, knowledgeable and answered all our questions. The trip was certainly made better in her company and the trip was very well organised. If you are in Shanghai and want to experience more of what China has to offer then we would highly recommend taking this tour as we’d now like to explore other parts of China. Thanks so much Ruby!!

Annie was fabulous!!! Our tour of Suzhou was everything we expected and more!!Annie took special care of us from pickup @ drop off @ the hotel she was so knowledgeable about Chinese culture, I walked away, feeling like an expert in Chinese history..

We bought a last-minute day trip and couldn’t be any happier with the service provided as well as the customization needed to avoid large crowds on a Friday- we went to a different garden instead. Sunny is very lovely and we enjoyed our trip and her guide very much. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone who is interested in getting a private experience!

Nice trip with my tour leader guide Sunny .we saw beautiful garden, shopping around for fun and very enjoyable boat ride in the ancient ,delicious lunch! Driver is also very nice in suzhou always on time to take us to next spot car is very clean and comforable,driver also friendly. Bullet train is also efficient and fast from Shanghai and back to Shanghai. A wonderful day out.

Suzhou is worth a visit—even for a day .We had a great tour guide Annie on this tour who explained in detail and took us to see many beautiful places.

Sunny Tours helped arranged a great tour that covered the highlights of Suzhou while understanding that my parents couldn't do aggressive and long walking. We managed to see the impressive Master of Net Garden, have a quick peek at the Tiger Hill (Pagoda), took a boat ride along the Grand Canal, and took a walk along Shanhgtang Street. The Bullet Train ride was also very smooth and fast. Might recommend that you try to do the tour by car to have more time to explore. Although it takes longer to get to Suzhou, you will have more flexible.
