Kairos Barcelona Tours- Kayak & Snorkel Tour with Lunch and Tossa de Mar Walk-about was a highlight of our trip to Barcelona. Matias was the ultimate guide. He made our group feel welcome, was informative, providing excellent instruction for kayaking and many details about the nature and development of Costa Brava. We explored the coastal cliffs from below and caves only accessible from the water, viewed hikers on the Cami de Ronda, snorkeled in a cove near a hidden beach, discovered octopus are very curios (about underwater cameras) and returned to the old-town for a wonderful meal and walk-about. It was a wonderful experience. Matias was a very good guide, explaining things around throughout the trip. The kayaking experience was very good, going around the coves and inside couple of caves. The cliff jumping was another highlight and snorkeling felt awesome. It was my first time snorkeling and I absolutely loved it. The lunch was also very good, had a three course meal of local cuisine. Then we explored the town of Tossa de mar, which was beautiful. Overall the experience was a memorable one!!!

Other than the spectacular Costa Brava coastline, the most memorable experience was our tour guide/owner/operator, Matias. Matias is friendly, has very good English, and has excellent knowledge of the local area. The stand out for me was his level of safety. Before we left Barcelona, Matias explained that the kayaking may not go ahead due to the conditions on the water - however he would make his final decision once he arrived at Tossa De Mar. Matias provided us with alternatives: plan B which involved a long hike and plan C which involved a shorter hike. He kept us well informed throughout the day and took numerous photos which he provides free of charge (you don't really need your camera). Fortunately we were able to kayak and that was a fabulous experience (including the snorkeling). The mask/snorkel and wet shoes are provided. The lunch was delicious especially the seafood paella. It was in a lovely location overlooking the beach and medieval castle. After lunch we had 2 hours of free time to explore the old town/shops/castle. Matias provided us with enough information so you could decide how you wanted to spend your time. The transport (van) was comfortable and Matias is a very safe driver. I highly recommend this tour. The Costa Brava coastline is spectacular and Tossa De Mar is a stunning town steeped with history.

Let me start off by saying this was the best tour I’ve ever done! Matias was very knowledgeable about the town, culture, and the sea. We got to kayak into sea caves, snorkeled, had lunch at a local restaurant in Tossa De Mar, then we later had free time to explore the town. Matias took plenty of pictures which was great because we got to really live in the present moment. I highly recommend!

AMAZING! The trip itself was an absolute must! Kayaking great! Snorkeling great! Food great! Tossa de Mar great! The guide is so friendly! It felt like he was part of the group but also made me feel safe! He was informative and cares about protecting the environment! He captured many photos and videos of us which were free and perfect quality meaning we could just enjoy ourselves! He gave us an all round wonderful experience that I will remember forever! We had so much fun!

This was my version of a perfect day. There was balanced mix of adventure and relaxation! I paddled a kayak into a sea cave, snorkeled in a beautiful Mediterranean cove, and even saw an octopus! Lunch was delicious, with Matias giving us spot on recommendations for the best local dishes along the way. Matias was a great guide! He is charismatic and knowledgeable. He took awesome pictures of us all day and made us feel safe and supported on our adventure. This is also a small local business that Matias runs himself! If you're the kind of person who feels weird booking a trip with a big travel company and you want to spend money directly supporting the area you're a tourist in, then this is a great tour for you! It's worth every penny and I would do this tour again in a second!

Matias is an outstanding guide. We had a perfect day starting with a comfortable van ride to Tossa de Mar. We explored the rocks and caves of the coast by sea kayak, then had a refreshing swim. After a nice lunch, we were free to wander the town, viewing the castle and shopping. Tossa de Mar is one of the nicest beach towns we have visited. The best value and tour from Barcelona.

This was the highlight of my trip to Barcelona! I cannot recommend highly enough. From start to finish, Matias provided a memorable, fun, unique experience that my sister and I are going to hold up as our gold standard of travel adventures. I could write a novel about the beauty of the area, the magic of snorkeling in clear blue waters, the charm of the old town, and the excellent paella lunch, but the most stand-out part of the experience was Matias himself. It is evident that he—the sole owner and operator of the business—is driven to bring joy and fun and adventure to people’s lives, and to share the beauty of a town and activity he loves so much. It was his spirit that most significantly shaped the trip. Additionally, we had an incident in our group where, due to a medical condition that hadn’t been previously disclosed, a couple’s scuba diving excursion (a separate experience Matias facilitates) could not be fulfilled. Matias responded with generosity, empathy, and kindness in pursuit of providing them with an enjoyable day in Tossa de Mar despite the cancellation (free of charge) and went out of his way to help find alternative solutions. Thank you, Matias, for the adventure. I can’t wait to come back!

From start to finish this was an absolute blast. The tour guide, Mattias is nothing short of a genuinely kind and passionate human being who loves what he does. That passion shines through as he takes you through the kayaking and snorkelling tour. I was expecting this to be a great experience, but honestly this blew those expectations out of the water. The whole day felt well-paced and oh my god, the 3-course meal you eat is some of the best seafood I’ve had on my trip. Exploring the peublo of Tossa de Mar for a couple hours was nothing short of amazing, so many sick views and Mattias gave some sweet tips for spots to swim/things to see. The ride home he had us all putting our favourite song on the car and we had a vote for whose people liked most. So wholesome, haha. Really feels like a special, unique experience and Mattias just felt like a good friend the entire time. Highly recommend this if you’re looking to get a taste of the Costa Brava.

I have been to Costa Brava a few times before. But this is the first time I actually get to see how beautiful this coast is! Such an amazing experience to discover the coastline, kayaking through rock passages, caves and many beautiful corners. I bookerd the tour with a friend of mine and joined a family of 4, who had also booked. In the end we all blended together and had a great and super fun day! The atmosphere was was so chilled that we even had fun on the van, while driving there. Matias, the Kayak tour guide, is super friendly and very professional. From the beginning he explained what the plan was and which things were there to see. Also important to mention that he kept an eye on our safety at all times. I am going to repeat the experience next summer for sure! 100% recommend.

Fascinating, it's the second time I've done the tour with Matías, and without a doubt, I'll do it again next year. Exploring the Costa Brava from the sea, with places only accessible by kayak, like caves and rocks, always respecting the environment and with information from the guide. Additionally, we went snorkeling and saw an octopus and other species!!!!! Later, we had a Mediterranean meal, and as if that weren't enough, the guide took photos of us throughout the entire journey, which he later sent via email for us to download (more than 30 photos!!). I had kayaked in other places, but I had never been taken on such a well-thought-out route. Thank you, thank youuuuuuu!!!!!

Matias was fantastic! He lead our tour truly with his heart and soul. His passion and joy was felt at ever turn. We had a blast exploring the beautiful cliffs, saves, and waters of Tossa de Mar. Incredible food and even better company. HIGHLY recommend.

We spent 10 days in Europe, 7 of which were on a cruise. This excursion was a favorite of the entire family. It was my kid's absolute favorite! They loved being on the Mediterranean and especially exploring the caves. The snorkeling was fun. We saw a very large school of fish and got great pictures. Lunch was very good and we had plenty of time to tour the town independently. Matias was an excellent guide and provided kayaking basics to the whole family. Transportation was comfortable, clean and included good conversation. I highly recommend Matias and this trip.

Matias drove confidently there and back, taking care in the serpentines on the way. Instructions were clear, reinforced during the kayaking. Small group resulted in more interaction, Matias is communicative, well-mannered and easy to talk to. The kayaking gear was of very good quality, the snorkeling equipment could be a touch better. Kayaking was very entertaining, felt safe the entire way. Snorkeling, albeit the weakest part, was still great. The lunch was tasty and with great view! Free time in Tossa de Mar was filled with a nice stroll and great gelato and orxata. I can wholeheartedly recommend the tour, certainly a highlight of this year's visit of Barcelona.

This tour is perfect. I combed through every Tossa de mar/costa brava tour from Barcelona and I’m so glad I picked this one, this was perfect. First of all, your supporting a local tour guide/company, Mathias is so passionate about what he does (and who he partners with) and put so much thought into designing this experience for people. There’s not another tour that takes you from the beach of Tossa de mar on a gorgeous kayak adventure, then to an absolutely delicious lunch and then plenty of time to roam and hang in Tossa de mar. There’s not a thing I’d change about this tour and I’ll absolutely be recommending it to any friends visiting the Barcelona area. This will forever be a core memory.
