Egypt Tailor Made organised a private 12 day tour for our group of five. We started with 3 days in Cairo with a wonderful guide Heba and driver Ali. They were very punctual, professional, helpful and kind. Heba was very knowledgeable, interesting and fun and gave us as much time as we wanted to see sights such as the Pyramids, the Sphinx, Cairo Museum, Khan El Khalil bazaar etc. Heba also made great recommendations for places to eat and places to buy things like Papyrus or perfume. She has a great sense of humour and is very entertaining we felt so fortunate to have her as our guide. We all highly recommend asking for Heba as your guide in Cairo. We took the sleeper train from Cairo to Aswan snd found this comfortable enough and enjoyed the experience. It was wonderful to travel along the Nile in the early morning from Luxor to Aswan. We were met at Aswan by our next wonderful guide Salah and driver Mahmoud. We drove from Aswan to Abu Simbel which is 3 to 3.5 hours and visited Abu Simbel temple in the afternoon when it was almost deserted. The tour groups all arrive in the morning from Aswan and leave in the early afternoon. The road is only open in daylight hours and the checkpoint closes at 4pm after which you must stay in Abu Simbel. It was so special to visit the temple without crowds. I highly recommend a one night stop in Abu Simbel. We also returned that evening for the Sound and Light show. The next morning we returned to Aswan and visited the High dam, the Temple of Philae and sailed in a felucca then checked into our Nile cruise on Steigenberger Minerva (seperate review). Salah our guide met us each day on our cruise taking us to the temples of Kom Ombo, Edfu, Karnak, Luxor, and the Valley of the Kings Etc. Salah was another fantastic tour guide. He was knowledgeable, informative and patient. Because there was a heatwave and the temperature reached 42 degrees in the afternoons, Salah agreed to start the day earlier and give us information about the sites we were seeing in the shade where possible and aim to finish our sightseeing before the heat was too intense, which we were very happy about. ETM organised a driver and private vehicle to take us to Hurghada for a couple of days in a resort before flying back to Cairo for a final night. Our experience with Egypt Tailor Made was exceptional and both Heba and Salah were outstanding guides they also took many photos of our group and knew good spots for getting great shots. If you have the chance request Heba in Cairo and Salah in Aswan, Abu Simbel and Luxor.

Sabry is a top Egyptologist! He has detailed expertise from pre- first dynasty to present day. Sabry created highly personalized tours at each site over 3 days, and even took me to one of the world’s 100 most iconic restaurants! Highly recommended for his extensive knowledge, friendly personality, and photography skills. MUST REQUEST!

My husband and I spend an incredible day with a calm, friendly and very knowledgeable female guide: Hend (also non-smoking which was a plus for us). We visited not three but the eight pyramids we wanted to see all in one day in three different sites. Hend picked us up from the hotel with the excellent driver in an airco car and we spend the next 7 hours slowly making our way through all the sites. If we wanted to go in the pyramids we would go in, she would be waiting. The car was always there for us and we are grateful because it was really hot. We like history and context and Hend knows a LOT!. She also answered all our questions on daily Egyptian life and food and had all the suggestions for the best pictures. She got us the best falafel we ate in the whole trip from a miniscule place along the road. We are very very grateful for the amazing day. Then the next day we also did Islamic Cairo with her. Same professionalism and knowledge. We had many guides during our 2,5 weeks trip in Egypt and hands down Hend was the best. Highly recommend this company which provides excellent value for money.

Did you always dream of visiting Egypt but worried about the language barrier, cultural difference, and traffic chaos? I cannot stress what a wonderful vacation we had that was amplified by the right private tour guide! My family of 4 with two tween kids trusted the Egypt Tailor Made team as everyone was fun, intelligent, courteous, and professional. Our trip throughout Egypt was made possible only with this professional team. Other than the initial meet and assistance service we used through our hotel, we ended up hiring Egypt Tailor Made for all of private excursions including all other airport transfers. Their vans were super clean and air conditioned with zero problems and even an ice cooler with water bottles. The drivers are all cool, calm, and very skilled in navigating around Egypt! In Cairo, we were paired with Heba who is a highly knowledgeable Egyptologist taking us to all the important tourist attractions including a second full day trip to Dahsur, Memphis, and Saqqara. My husband and I felt like we were following a professor around absorbing all the history lessons she shared with us. The aromatherapy shop and papyrus museum weren’t on my list, but we were so delighted she took us there for some great souvenirs. In Aswan and Luxor, we were paired with Ghaddad, an equally knowledgeable Egyptologist, and the skillful driver, Ahmed. For 3 days, they were so patient with us accommodating our many requests and tiring tweens. They even included fresh sugar cane and mango juices as well as fresh made falafel as well as little souvenirs. Ghaddad took us shopping for pottery and Egyptian spices which made even more memorable souvenirs, and she expertly kept all unwanted solicitors away. We flew down to Abu Simbel for one morning where we were greeted by our private tour there as well. It’s so relieving to work with a touring team that is so expansive throughout Egypt. I’ve read so many other tourists’ reviews of Egypt who were lost, scammed or disappointed, but they should have hired Egypt Tailor Made for the best customized experiences. I did much research before reserving my bucket list destination, and this team beats them all. Don’t bother using the hotel’s concierge which are far more costly for similar private tours. Go with Egypt Tailor Made!

I lived in Egypt from 2011 to 2013. I know how chaotic it can get sometimes. I was bringing my family this time and I wanted everything to go smoothly. I did a lot of search online and saw many positive reviews about Egypt Tailor Made. Of course, you can't take everything on the internet at face valve but I gave it a go, and they were great. The mini bus was roomy and clean. And the guides were great. We arranged a private tour visiting Aswan, Luxor and Cairo. Mr Soliman was great in Aswan & Luxor and Ms Heba was amazing in Cairo. I couldn't have asked better guides. They were on point, accommodating, friendly and paid attention to detail. We had a great time. Thank you very much.

We contacted Walid to set up our tours in Egypt months ago after seeing the great reviews on line. He was always prompt in replying and suggesting our tour options. He set up our tours around our prebooked travel schedule for Cairo, Luxor and Aswan. We just completed our three day tour of Cairo. Our guide, Sabry, was amazing. He is a very friendly individual and his English his perfect . His knowledge of the ancient sites was outstanding. He is an Egyptologist and has a masters degree in reading hieroglyphics. He knew I was very interested in getting more than the basics in the ancient sites. Went out of his way to explain things in great detail. I always joked with him that he is a walking book! We also had a driver with us Shaban. Lovely gentleman. Great driver, very calm and relaxed even with the crazy Cairo traffic. He would be there after every site (Sabry would call him) and we would be whisked away to the next site in an air conditioned SUV. The tour company were always in touch with us updating us on pick up times, etc. If we could give Egypt Tailor Made Tours and our guide Sabry a six star we would! Very happy.

We took 6 tours with Tailor Made while we were in Egypt plus 4 rides to and from airports. Our tours in Cairo were with Sabry. The first tour was to the Pyramids, Saqqara and Memphis. The following day we visited the Egyptian Museum and Cairo Tower. Sabry is a great guide, certainly one of the best we’ve experienced in any country and quite possibly the best. His knowledge of ancient Egyptian history, culture, religion and society is unrivalled as was his enthusiasm and love for his subject. Saqqara wasn’t high up on our list of sights in Egypt but with Sabry as a guide it proved to be one of the highlights. He also had other attributes such as being a good photographer with knowledge of the intricacies of iPhones which my wife used to take photos of our tours. Sabry even arranged for my wife to recharge her phone in the car after she had depleted the battery trying to capture the magnificence of the Pyramids. In addition to Sabry, both drivers were good and safely negotiated Cairo’s chaotic traffic. Our guide in Aswan, Abu Simbel and Luxor was Emile. Emile had a very different personality to Sabry but was very good at guiding us around sights and making sure we got to the most interesting areas before the big tour groups. Subsequently we have photos of some of the highlights without other visitors showing, making it look as though we were there on our own rather than at a crowded tourist site. Emile was also a very caring person and was very solicitous when my wife injured her ankle in Luxor after our tours had finished. Again, the drivers employed by Tailor Made were excellent and safely negotiated the long journeys to Abu Simbel and back, and our transfer from Aswan to Luxor via Kom Ombo and Edfu. I would definitely recommend Tailor Made. I was a bit concerned initially when they informed me that information about guides and drivers would be sent via WhatsApp just a day or two before our tours but it worked well and the company, overseen by the owner Walid Fathy, are efficient and all our tours went smoothly. We would definitely use Tailor Made if we returned to Egypt.

Our dedicated guide, Sabry, is professional and attentive to our needs. He is fluent and is highly capable of articulating in English the deep and enriching history of the places of interest. We also did an excursion to the White Desert with Sabry. Together with Qazafi (driver), Sabry coordinated well with the Bedouin guide for the excursion, and we had a memorable experience camping at the desert. We highly recommend Sabry and Qazafi for tours in Egypt.

We just completed 11 days tour of Egypt, with 6 days at Cairo including the tour of Alexandria. Our entire Cairo tour, Alexandria tour and airport transfers were handled by Egypt Tailor Made Tours. We were looking for a private tour for two of us, without accommodation, has the flexibility to visit Cairo at our own pace. Egypt has several top rated Travel companies and to select the one that suits our need was very tough. But undoubtedly this company was perfect for us and met all our expectations. I sent the list of places to be visited and the travel dates. They chalked out the entire trip for us which suited us. I found this company very professional, organized, and the entire trip was smooth without any difficulty. Qazafi, our car driver was very polite punctual and took care of us quite well. Heba was tour guide at Cairo and she is undoubtedly one among the best. We felt comfortable with her on the day one itself. Only disappointment we had with our Alexandria day tour with a different tour guide, where we were rushed through the Catacombs visit even though we had a lot of time in hand. Fantastic half day tour by Heba, taking in Giza complex and Islamic Cairo (at our request instead of the usual itinerary. The tour was beautifully tailored exactly to our interests and time available, & Heba was an excellent guide - very knowledgeable and informative with tips for our whole time in Cairo, as well as friendly and chatty. We had an incredible day-long tour with our guide, Ahmed Zaki, and driver, Kazafi, to the Pyramids, Sphinx, Saqqara, and Memphis. Ahmed arrived promptly at our hotel, and we began the tour by visiting Saqqara to admire the Step Pyramid and explore the surrounding area. Throughout our journey, Ahmed provided enlightening presentations on Egyptian history, accompanied by visuals on his tablet.  Next, we traveled to Memphis to view several historical masterpieces, one of which was the iconic statue of Ramesses II. We finished the tour by enjoying the breathtaking Pyramids in the Giza plateau.  Ahmed is an experienced guide who is respected by people around these sights. Because of this we were able to enjoy some VIP treatment thanks to his connections. Ahmed is also an excellent photographer who knows the best spots to take memorable photos.  Kazafi, who is not only an exceptional driver but also incredibly polite, skilfully drove us around the sights. Ahmed and Kazafi make a perfect team for a delightful tour experience. I wholeheartedly recommend taking a tour with Ahmed and Kazafi to fully appreciate the beauty of these sights.
