This was one of the best experiences we have had in Italy . Wonderful instructors for the class and the food was delicious ! Not to mention, the views from the estate were fantastic !

Our tour guide Lavinia from Walkabout Tours and host/chef Carmela were fantastic. It was an experience to remember from going to the local market to buy the ingredients fresh to learning how to make the most delicious bruschetta, pasta, ragu etc. Then, to sit and enjoy the meal with a glass of wine overlooking the Tuscan Hills was magic! I would highly recommend this tour. 20/10!!

This was a phenomenal experience worth every cent! I would highly recommend for anyone, any group, you will have a great time and learn a lot from this experience, it’s like no other. This trip was a gift for my mom and this class was her favorite part. Luca and Carmela were amazing and had such great chemistry. Luca is funny, cheeky and made the entire bus ride and experience a fun one! The staff have great camaraderie which was great to see as well. Food was delicious, we got to connect and bond with the other participants which was lovely - we had a great group. Everyone got a chance to play a role and be involved, it was awesome. If you’re going to Florence and have time, you have to do this class.

The experience was wonderful overall. Our tour guide was excellent and really took the time to explain everything and answer questions. Our chef was funny and knowledgeable. Very good time preparing the food and socializing along the way. Also a beautiful estate! Highly recommended. .

This experience was easily one of the best we have done, from the tour of the food market, our guide Lavinia’s passion and knowledge of food, wine and local culture, to the high-energy and fun cooking lesson from the legend Carmella. The tour had beautiful views, amazing food that we made with fresh local ingredients, and plenty of Chianti Classico to celebrate together. We made new friends from around the world. I recommend this tour very highly. It is the experience you dream of when you book a tour like this!

Such an amazing and fun cooking class with Luca and Carmela. I haven’t laughed that hard in a long time! Especially loved the pasta making and learning proper Italian tiramisu. Thankyou!

Fantastic experience. Chef Luca is all about fun, great cuisine, humor, and making everyone feel special. So glad this was the last activity of my two week trip to Italy. The tour of the Mercator centrale was so amazing. He knows all the vendors and they all adore him. His cookbook will keep me busy for the next year. You will love him and he will love you even MORE!

The chef Luca was awesome! He was entertaining while teaching us the Italian way of cooking. The setting was gorgeous! The tour of the market was also awesome!

Wow!! This was such a great experience! I went with my family and we all had so much fun. I have travelled all over the world and been on many excursions and food tours but this was one of the most fun. If you like to cook or even if you just like to eat this is for you.

This cooking class was exactly what I wanted from it and for a fair price. The market was interesting, our tour guide was informative and entertaining, the food we made wasn't too complicated for a beginner or too simple for someone with experience, it was also delicious. It was definitely for tourists and I say that as a compliment, the whole experience was very low-stress and well laid out. Two or three line cooks would swoop in before and after everything you did to clean/prep the kitchen while you got to converse, drink wine and enjoy the beautiful view from the kitchen. The highlight was definitely the cook (pictured looking through her oven). Apparently she was in her 70's but nonetheless was more energetic than any of us in our 30's. She spent practically the entire time singing and cracking jokes in Italian, truly, her joie de vivre was contagious. If I could've hired her to cook every meal for me while in Italy I would still call it a bargain at twice the price. If you're willing to splurge a little and don't mind getting your hands dirty you will have a wonderful time here.

The cooking class with Luca and Carmella was fantastic. Everyone had a great time and we had lots of wine to drink. The meal that we helped prepare was amazing and the setting at the farmhouse was incredible. Unfortunately, the market was closed for the holiday but we got to spend some time touring the gardens at the farmhouse instead.

The market and learning how to make pasta. The class size should be smaller. Over thirty is a bit much.

All my expectations were met and exceeded; at the close of the day, Lovinna even helped us call a taxi to take us back to our hotel. I wish her and Carmelina all the success they deserve.

Great experience! Luca was terrific and Carmella as well. I learned a lot and the meal was exquisite. The estate and surrounding countryside incredible like a movie. I also got some great tips from Luca re where to eat etc. highly recommend!!

We loved the cooking class and lunch a lot. Luca, our guide made it so much fun. The market tour was informative and we got to try some samples too. The cooking class was hands on and fun too. Luca and Carmela were expert teachers in the kitchen. Lunch was delicious served with a nice Chianti Classico red. The setting of the farmhouse estate was so beautiful. A must do tour in Florence.

This was an enjoyable experience learning about Italy’s food culture. Our chef/guide Luca made the day though - he was hilarious and so entertaining!
