Captain Jack was very knowledgeable and interesting as he tortoise through the canals of Amsterdam. The drinks and snacks were just right and we enjoyed our time with him and the small group of other guests. It was much more pleasant for us than the huge groups on the typical Canal boats that we see in Amsterdam.

Very interesting and informative discussion about life in Amsterdam. Beautiful boat with all the comforts including a great variety of beverages, alcoholic and non, snacks, blankets if needed, and a little bathroom. Highly recommended.

We had a blast! Our tour guide was fun and funny. Great boat and service. Lots of good sightseeing to be done. The snacks and drinks were on point.

Touring the canals with Jack on the Drift Away is the antithesis to the standard, packed-to-the-gills canal tour one regularly sees. Jack provided a personal touch that is only possible in a smaller setting, bringing his vast knowledge of Amsterdam and his personal experience growing up along the canals. It was the highlight of our trip and we will definitely book with him again when we return. If you're balking at the few extra euros for this, the experience is absolutely worth the price.

Excellent canal cruise. Medium sized boat can go in smaller canal and under low bridges. Beautiful covered salon. Good rain or shine. Captain Jack is friendly and knowledgeable.

Captan Jack was knowledgeable and entertaining with his facts about Amsterdam---both historically and of recent times We went on the day of my birthday---my husband and I + my brother---all from the UK---and on arriving, not only did we receive glasses of cava or wine or infact any type of drink that we wanted, but Captain Jack had also bought a simply wonderful cinammon based apple pie for my birthday Then the bar was "ours"---to drink whatever we wanted, whenever we wanted---all included in the cost of the trip And not only was the boat a pretty boat---but it also had a toilet on board---a luxury and a rarity on Amsterdam Boat tours ! All in all a lovely trip, and one that we would definitely recommend to anyone wanting something a "little more special"---and with a maximum of only 8 x passengers, it was very private Well done Jack Jo and Mike

Really excellent trip from a knowledgeable and really friendly Captain Jack. He made us feel at home straight away. The included bar helped and we enjoyed a glass of wine even thought it was only midday. We saw some places we had not seen before and have places to visit on our next trip. We thoroughly enjoyed it and the 90 minutes flew by. We cannot recommend enough. For us this is the only way to see Amsterdam by boat.

Fantastic trip! I would highly recommend this! Jack knew everything about the canals and the city and its history. Hilarious commentary too! The boat was extremely comfortable. This is a must on any Amsterdam holiday.

The canal trip was excellent because of our guide and navigator. He had everyone on board laughing and made the trip interesting and funny. With only 8 adults on board it felt sociable and not crowded. He was a careful navigator, necessary because the canals were so busy. He was very caring of the children on board and made sure it was fun for them too. The wine and beer was a bonus.

Best cruise tour ever! We didnt realize when we booked this trip that it was Kings Day! The entire city was a party town and it was impossible to move! Our driver was running late but Jack called me… talked to my driver and we got out to walk. Jack met us a 100 yards from his boat and got us through the crowd! We ended up only 3 minutes late . Now the tour was great! Jack took us everywhere and we saw just about every highlight of the city including the bridge from Ted Lasso to the tilted buildings, the red light district and more! Jack and his hostess were wonderful. Plenty of fresh snacks soft drinks and alcohol if it fancys you ! With a max of 8 on his boat it was so much nicer then the sardine packed 10 euro trips ! Make sure you book this Capn Jack. Not the other :)

This was a terrific 90 minute cruise around the canals of Amsterdam. Captain Jack is extremely entertaining and also tremendously educated in both the history and current environment of the Netherlands.

We had a lovely time with Captain Jack on his boat and one of the highlights of our weekend in the Dam. Very informative, relaxed with great banter and a fully stocked bar to keep you busy. Thank you!

Jack was delightful, meeting us with great panache and drinks of our choice. The bubbly was delicious. We had a blue sky day which made everything more enjoyable. His local knowledge, sense of humor and social ease made this cruise experience!
