This was an awesome experience! Adventurous, educational and organized. Great tour guide and captain. Snacks, drinks and lunch were provided. Understand it’s not guaranteed that you will get to swim when the dolphins, their wild animals, but you will definitely get to see them. Book now if you’re thinking about!

Cannot recommend this enough. Informative guide, whole organization focused on sustainability, plus WE GOT TO SEE DOLPHINS. I know it's in the name, but really nothing describes the feeling of hearing the dolphin clicks in the water and seeing them examine you as you swim beside them. Truley amazing.

This was an amazing trip. Michael was an amazing guide. We got to swim with dolphins, saw a baby humpback whale breaching the water, snorkled and saw lots of fish, then saw a manta ray, saw a huge pod of spotted dolphins and the baby humpback again. We took our kids and it was definitely a trip to remember and definitely recommend.

We brought our kids (11 and 13) who had two different interests. One really wanted to see dolphins, the other wanted to snorkel. This experience provided the best of both worlds, in a humane experience for the dolphins. We learned so much about these amazing creatures, the tour left a lasting impression on our family and we are glad we did not choose to experience dolphins in captivity. The dolphins chose to swim on past our group in the water, but we were not left disappointed.

Trip was great! Water was really murky though. Saw many dolphins and a few whales. Very educated gal. Captain was great! I'm sure we'll do it again.

Maggie was an incredible guide who taught us so much. The dolphins were more interested in the whales than us but we still got to see a bunch and even got to get in the water and hear the humpbacks “songs”. The snorkeling was amazing as well. I would definitely recommend this tour.

The guide was very knowledgeable learned a lot about dolphins and Whales. My only critique is for the cost lunch was very low budget wouldn't hurt to step that up a bit.

EcoTours Vallarta guide Christina and captain Rafe were great. The classroom slide introduction to dolphins and whales in PV (and their migration patterns) was interesting and informative. Christina gave me a prescription mask, which makes a huge difference to us short-sighted folks. We had excellent views of dolphins and whales swimming together but because the dolphins were so close to the whales, we did not swim with them. The water conditions were not perfect for snorkelling due to chop and red tide but the guides found an alternate spot. I brought a fleece pullover and it was perfect after being in the water, as were the sandwiches and granola bars! The guides stopped the boat on the way back so we could watch the Papantla Bird-Men on the Malećon from the water. It was an awesome perspective.

I had a week to spend in PV before flying back home. I decided to join this tour which turned out to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The boat was small enough and we saw many dolphins dancing up and down the surface. And a couple of humpback whales to dive deep into the water. Synthia was a wonderful guide and our captain was friendly and reliable. Highly recommended to join the tour.

We had a great time with Christina (guide) and Rafe (captain). We learned a lot about dolphins and other marine life. The dolphins are normally easy to find, but it took us a bit longer. They were swimming near a group of humpback whales! So we were able to watch them together for quite a while. Swimming with the dolphins is not guaranteed, because they are just wild animals. We tried after the dolphins and whales distanced themselves, but the dolphins were leaving. We then went to a snorkelling spot. Conditions were not amazing- red tide making the water murky, and a bit chilly from rain, but you could really tell that Christina and Rafe were doing their best to give us a good time. Yummy sandwich for lunch.

My daughter and I enjoyed the wild dolphin/snorkeling tour. We learned a lot from our awesome guide Cynthia. We first set out to find the dolphins and then headed to a beautiful area with a natural rock arch where we snorkeled and saw many beautiful fish. The scenery was gorgeous! We even spotted 2 humpback whales really close to our boat which is rare in November. It was about a 4 hour tour. Sandwiches, snacks, and cold drinks were provided. It was a wonderful experience and I highly recommend it. It was one of the highlights of our trip.

Such an amazing experience - Maggie and the crew were knowledgeable and you could tell they really care about the dolphins and ecosystem. We found dolphins almost immediately and got to swim with them for almost an hour! Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a natural, authentic, and more exciting experience.

What an exceptional experience! We had such an amazing morning with Michael and Raphael. We swam with dolphins multiple times, cruising to where the pod was moving and playing. Such an incredible up close and personal, yet very respectful experience enjoying the dolphins in their habitat, and letting them determine how interested and engaged they want to be. Michael was so knowledgeable and Raphael captained amazingly, finding wildlife everywhere. Strongly recommend the experience!

The wild dolphin tour was an amazing experience. Cynthia was incredibly knowledgeable and so much fun to share this experience with. I cannot recommend this tour enough. To see the dolphins in their natural environment and have them interact with us by their choice was exhilarating. Would absolutely do this tour again!

We had an incredible outing today on the wild dolphins & snorkeling combo with Ecotours Vallarta: Nature Adventures. When we arrived at their location, we checked in and found out we were the only ones to book the tour today, so we were getting a private tour. That was an exciting surprise! We started with a talk learning about dolphins, collected our snorkel gear, and headed out to the boat. The goal was to find dolphins in Banderas Bay and try to swim with them. Our guide, Michael, and captain, Raphael were incredible at spotting the dolphins and catching up to them. We were less than 10 minutes out of thearina before we found the first pod, Three times we jumped in to swim alongside them, but they just weren't in the mood to play with us. (A small bummer, but we expected it was possible. There's no way to control what the dolphins want to do!) Once we were done jumping in, we found a pod that had at least six dolphins and they swam right along our boat, under the bow, and on both sides for quite a while. It was incredible & my videos & photos do not do it justice! Along the way, we also learned a lot about the wild birds and found a ton of sea turtles, at least four couples mating, and one threesome. 😂😂 Our final stop was at Los Arcos to do some snorkeling where saw fish, birds, and turtles (and tons of other people snorkeling). I would absolutely recommend this tour and crew.

If you love dolphins you have to do this trip. Maggie is great - very knowledgeable and passionate about the dolphins. We had our family of 4 (including our two kids ages 12&14) plus another group of 3 on the boat so nice and small. These are wild dolphins so they do what they feel like. We saw some early on but didn’t jump in because they were in a spot without great visibility. Toured around for a while longer and came across the same pod of about 6 now further out in better water. Went in a couple of times and the second time the dolphins were very interested and swam around us for about 10-15 mins. They can obviously come and go as they please but they came back multiple times to get a closer look and at times just swam around in circles right below us. There was a calf that was about a month old in the pod too. You could also really hear their clicks and chirps under water. There are something north of 200 dolphins that live in the bay and we saw a bunch more in a different excursion just swimming around next to the boat so your chances of having a great experience like ours is high. Do yourself a favor and see dolphins in this environment as it is really magical. We took our GoPro and got some great videos. You have to wear a life jacket and the sea is normally pretty calm in the mornings so it’s an easy swim but you do jump off the side of the boat into the water (only a couple feet). Anyone remotely comfortable in the water should be fine. You don’t swim after the dolphins as they are incredibly fast so you are mostly staying in around the same spot for them to come back to you so not too strenuous if that was is any concern. There is also a snorkeling stop afterwards on the way back that was fine, but we’d already been scuba diving so this part I didn’t really care too much about and would always pale in comparison to the experience with the dolphins. Back to the dock by 1 so it’s only a half day so you still have your afternoon. If there is one water experience in PV to do this is it!
