Jamie our tour guide was personable, knowledgeable and attentive. He gave us great insight into many things. Great also not have to wait in a long queue to gain access.

Our tour guide is an educated history buff that loves London and Explains the history of England in a way that makes you feel part of it. By far the best tour guide. So informative and fun. Check out her tour , she will make a trip to London even better (which is saying a lot because this is a great city).

Our guide Jake was pleasant and knowledgeable about the current issues facing the museum. Jake helped us navigate the crowds and gave us great tips for lunch and the bookstore.

Very good tour and fantastic guide. Wesley (the tour guide) did a great job in highlighting some of the more unique and interesting pieces, and the time went by very quickly. It was very well organised and Wesley had a very good manner and knowledge of the museum. I can recommend this to anyone looking to get a really good high level and entertaining introduction to the British Museum.

Jake, our guide, was more than awesome. Polite, knowledgeable, entertaining, authentic, thorough and affable. He and the tour at the BM were the highlight of our viking cruise and this was on our last day before returning home. The tour hit all of the highlights -- Rosetta Stone, Elgin Marbles, Egyptian artifacts, Iron age relics. I was particularly impressed by the huge "library" with collections of artifacts from a wide variety of places and time periods. I would never have been able to make sense of the many items in the museum without the help of our knowledgeable guide.

Jamie pointed things out to us that we probably would have overlooked. So grateful for his guidance and personal touch.

Our guide, Wesley, was fabulous! He was able to give us a great deal of insight into so many different civilisations and cultures. His knowledge is immense and definitely gave us a new found desire to learn more about history. So many wonderful pieces were explained to us in depth and in an easily understood manner. Free time at the end of the tour to explore at your own pace and interest. Highly recommend.

Great tour guided by Wesley. He was very knowledgeable about the artifacts in the museum and we had a well paced but inclusive tour. We were able to see a large portion of the museum within 2.5 hours and still did not feel rushed.

Wesley was such an excellent guide for the museum-he patiently waited for us stuck in traffic. We got to see all the high lights of the museum in the 3 hour tour, with his witty commentary. Highly recommend!

Our tour guide Andi was enthusiastic and our tour was interesting but it was hard to hear him at time due to our having to navigate the large crowds - unsure why a microphone system for guide and participants in this amazing museum gown how busy it is…

History is always perspectival, and it should be. What would history with a view from nowhere even be? Sheldon embraced this, including in the tour some of the history that brought about him as well as the history of artifacts that resonated with him personally. For us, that was exactly what we were looking for: something that made this enormous and overwhelming collection manageable and personable. Like his description of the Rosetta Stone, it’s the contingencies of its history, not the item itself, that makes it a world treasure. Similarly, the British Museum and artifacts within are lovely, but stitching its story as it has been interwoven with culture, history, and ethics is what you cannot take pictures of nor really interact with on your own. That piece was provided by our guide. I should add that Sheldon was incredibly knowledgeable, kind, humorous, and a captivating speaker. His tour will stay with us for a long time—thank you!
