Pass By: Zakynthos, Zakynthos, Ionian Islands
Begin your unique experience with a convenient pick-up from the door of your accommodation or hotel throughout the island, by our VIP Mercedes-Benz minivan (if 6 persons), or luxury M- Benz minibus (if 8-12 persons).
Your very friendly, professional local guide-driver of the day will begin by giving you a free map of Zakynthos before briefing you on your unique tour that lies ahead.
On our way to take the boat, you will enjoy the views of the olive groves, vineyards, the diversity of the landscape, the rugged but verdant mountains, the traditional village houses, the old churches, and the stunning panoramic views of the turquoise sea waters of the northeast coast as well as the northwest coast, until we arrive in our next stop.
Stop At: Porto Vromi, Porto Vromi, Zakynthos, Ionian Islands
Porto Vromi is a picturesque bay with a couple of beaches on the west coast of Zakynthos. Although there is no direct link between them, we will get there from the side of Anafonitria.
Going down the mountain road with its many harping bends, the scenery is magnificent with the sea penetrating the cove surrounded by the rocks, makes you understand how great the views of the entire port from above are! It is inside a small fjord, so special and spectacular to see this place from above the idyllic bay
you will admire the small shallow Anafonitria’s iconic beach (around 25m wide), with its small white pebbles and crystal clear deep, cool water and so many sea urchins.
From this small port, we will get on board a small to medium size boat, which allows us to literally enter and be able to go inside some small amazing caves. It will take about 20 minutes to sail along the west coast, which is full of little caves and scenic views of the high cliffs that fall straight into the sea.
Duration: 20 minutes
Stop At: Navagio Beach (Shipwreck Beach), Anafonitria 290 91 Greece
Now that you are one of the first tourists to land so early at one of the most famous beaches on the planet, grab your camera and get ready to snap the best pictures with the most amazing background of the small cove surrounded by steep limestone formations.
You will have the opportunity to swim in the most stunning turquoise water in the world, relax and enjoy the extraordinary scenery that nature has created and of course the stunning views beyond description.
Explore the rusty hull of the commercial shipwreck, named, M/V Panagiotis, which grounded onshore in 1980 and lies in the middle of the white sandy beach. Although it has decayed quite a lot, it still looks magnificent.
Leaving Navagio, the captain will bring the boat to the best location of the beach with the shipwreck in the background to capture the best photos.
For many people this is the most magical and romantic place in Europe, and not only.
Duration: 1 hour
Stop At: Blue Caves, Korithi Greece
Sailing back along the west coastline of Zakynthos, it looks very special. The blend of emerald waters, a beautiful seabed, sheltered coves, secluded beaches, and amazing blue caves.
The blue caves are one of the island's most famous attractions after the shipwreck beach and while these natural wonders have been formed by continual erosion of the cliffs by the sea, they create a series of magical chambers. The Blue caves take their name from the sapphire color cast by the sunlight shimmering through the water and being reflected into the caves.
Our small-medium boat allows us not only to get right into some of the small undiscovered caves for about 20 minutes (bigger boats can’t) but you can also enjoy swimming and snorkeling inside one of them, with its breathtaking natural turquoise seawaters which paint the limestone and everything around you in a stunning, ethereal blue (including you).
Finally, we will make another stop for swimming at an unspoiled golden sandy beach.
Duration: 30 minutes
Stop At: Sfogio Beach, Ζάκυνθος 290 91, Greece
We will stop for swimming at this white, secluded, and originally pebbled beach which is a characteristic sample of the natural beauty of Zakynthos.
Well-hidden and rather unfrequented beach, it is not just to enjoy swimming or snorkeling, but you will see with your own eyes how turquoise, transparent, and crystal clear waters it has, you will admire the unparalleled beauty of the impressive tall white cliffs of the shore and the naked rocks that emerge from the sea.
Simply, another hidden gem on Zakynthos.
Duration: 20 minutes
Pass By: Porto Vromi Beach, Ανώνυμη Οδό, Maries 290 91 Greece
We continue our 3 hours boat trip, exploring more caves, each one more unique than the other. However, the last one is the magnificent Poseidon cave at Porto Vromi bay. Next to it, there is a natural rock formation in which you can easily spot the stunning face of Poseidon, the god of the sea, storms, earthquakes, and horses. And do not worry the captain will get closer to the face so you can capture the best instagram pictures, while the guide will tell you the ancient Greek myths about Poseidon.
Stop At: Navagio Beach (Shipwreck Beach), Anafonitria 290 91 Greece
We will head here at midday, the right time, there will be sun and the sea will sparkle in many shades of turquoise. In addition, the area is filled with green, especially rosemary and sage.
From the platform, you will be able to see and photograph what is considered one of the 30 most beautiful beaches all over the world. Nevertheless, from here you can see neither the whole cove nor the whole shipwreck and again (for safety reasons) you will follow the guide walking about 10min along a stony path leading out to the cliff top to a high promontory facing the sea, where he will help you capture the best photos of the iconic images of the cove and the shipwreck at the background.
The water is so clear that when you take pictures of boats from above, it seems weird as you can see the shadow on the seabed and gives the illusion that they are floating over the water instead of touching it.
Duration: 1 hour
Stop At: Anafonitria, Anafonitria, Zakynthos, Ionian Islands
Stop for lunch (own expenses) at a typical Greek, Zakynthian family-run taverna, named Galaxy, a neat location at Anafonitria, a junction of a small mountain village with views of green hills, only 3 kilometers away from the shipwreck viewpoint.
Yiayia ( means grandmother in Greek ) Dimitra is the boss of the kitchen, with her very tasty home-cooked traditional dishes with fresh homegrown vegetables and homemade wine and desserts, while the rest of the family would treat you like a family member or a friend. Simply authentic taverna in a mountain village, very nice atmosphere, good menu, sensible prices, very generous dishes.
Duration: 45 minutes
Stop At: Exo Chora, Exo Chora, Zakynthos, Ionian Islands
The famous 2.000 years old olive tree is located in the village of Exo Chora, Zakynthos island. It is one of the seven oldest olive trees in the Mediterranean, and probably one of the oldest olive trees in the world.
There is not yet an agreed-upon scientific method to ascertain the age of olive trees.
In the case of this ancient olive tree, although its exact age cannot be verified, it is believed to be at least 2000 years old based on tree ring analysis. It still produces olives to this day.
Here was one of the main filming locations of the famous Korean drama (the descendants of the sun).

This tour was not as described here on Viator. We specifically chose this tour rather than just taking the 25 euro local boat trip in resort to Navagio and Blue Caves because this tour was described as early morning, arriving at the beach before the crowds and it also included a trip to the view point - neither of which happened. Our tour guide was almost an hour late picking us up to start with and then we headed to the view point first (not as described on here), but when arriving the authorities closed the viewpoint due to fire risk. This was not Dali Tours’ fault, but no partial refund was offered and we just proceeded to go to the taverna we would later be having lunch at instead to waste half an hour of hanging around. We then headed to get the boat to Navagio, which whilst was amazing to see, we arrived at 11am when there were already hundreds and hundreds of people. The boat trip then continued to visit various caves, which were stunning, and included a swim into one of them which was an amazing experience. We then had a lunch at a very average taverna where it appeared we were given the “tourist menu” rather than being able to have the same food as the Greeks. After lunch we went to Exo Chora to see the oldest olive tree, which was good for some pictures, however most of our time at this location was spent being taken to a shop selling olive oil, wine etc, where I can only assume our guide received some kind of kickback. Our final stop was to Xigia Beach (not listed on the Viator description) which was great as it was nice to swim in the bright blue sulphur waters. Overall not a bad trip, but not good value for money and the description at time of booking is misleading. The trip was very good, all of the stops were satisfying and the tour guide was very nice too us. This trip is probably the best “shipwreck”trip you can do in Zakynthos! This trip is probably the best “shipwreck”trip you can do in Zakynthos! Our tour guide George was great he went that extra mile for us to ensure we had a memorable trip :) Arrived at view point early to miss the crowds! Beach was near enough empty and what a view! Great for photos. Then drove us round to board our small/medium boat with refreshments on board (beer €2) which took us to shipwreck beach. Was busy but got even busier when we left as extra large groups came on boats. Spent approx 1 hour there! We then went on to look at several other small caves around the coast and also swam into the blue caves! Which we believe not many tour companies do as the tide is so strong! Next stop was lunch at this traditional Greek taverna which was lovely and the staff were so friendly - homemade wine which was a nice touch After lunch we went to view a 2000 old olive tree and also tasted some local delicacies from that area (wine, liquors, olives, cheese, olive oil and bread etc) drink and eat as much as you like haha!! Also can had opportunity to purchase these items if we liked. Last stop on the tour was Xigia Beach (also the top famous beach in Zakynthos) where the sulphur caves are! George our guide took us to the sulphur cave area that no one really dares to go in alone as requires going underwater to get into the cave which can be quite scary for some! what an amazing experience (sulphur water freezing and smelt likes eggs but totally worth it) great fun!! Whole trip was honestly amazing from start to finish - states 6-7 hours but was 8!! Fantastic… you’re missing out if you don’t do this trip! Plenty of water throughout as was 42 degrees! And in a large air conditioned Mercedes mini bus (16 guests) would definitely give 5 stars!!!! Thank you
