We booked a half day walking tour of Marakkech and the two day Zagora desert tour. Both activities were excellent. The guides are extremely good. They are very professional - both were punctual, very friendly and truly knowledgable. Assim, our walking guide, guided us effortlessly through the confusing streets and souks of Marakkech, and carefully asked us whether we wanted to engage in shopping or haggling before bringing us in contact with vendors. He had sound knowledge of Morrocan history, was a very clear in his presentation and recommended two fantastic restaurants: one very high end and the other a hole in the wall. Mahde, our desert tour guide, was an outstanding driver - even my sometimes nervous wife was not scared on the twisting mountain roads. He was extremely friendly, going way out of his way to make us comfortable with him and his country: he shared a tremendous amount of interesting information about life in Morocco, both past and present, and was even able to tell a string of funny jokes in English as we drove. There was never any pressure to stop or buy anything; but he was very attentive to our desires to stop on the long ride. The desert was very beautiful as expected and the scenery on the drive was also very lovely; but it is a long drive - 7 hours each way. The desert tent accommodations were unexpectedly comfortable, and clean toilets were available in the desert and at every stop. I recommend the Maroc Expedition very strongly. We contacted Yussef the manager of the company a few days before we arrived in Marrakesh and he took care of our trip to the desert. We were four family members and, thanks to Yussef, we got the best out of our holidays in Morocco. Maroc Expedition Travel is highly reommended for their proficiency!

My friend and I recently took this tour in December 2022. We had a wonderful time on the 2 day trip. The views during the drive was magnificent and we always stopped at many rest stops for food/coffee&snacks as well as bathroom breaks. The drive took several hours but it was a great experience. Most interesting, we stopped at Ait Zineb, the panoramic view at the top was absolutely breathtaking. Well worth the hike! Also we had a very experienced tourguide, Hassan, who was insightful - sharing the colourful history of Morocco throughout the trip. We rode camels to the camp and saw the beautiful sunset. In the camp, we had a delicious Moroccan dinner, experienced a traditional live music performance and stargazed while sitting outside around the campfire. Overall, the tour was amazing, well-worth the price and would definitely recommend!
