The Yoga Teacher Training at Pranapure was a great experience for me. I followed the 200h Yoga Teacher Training during the course of 4 weeks with Hardy and Daniela as my teachers. With that many hours in 4 weeks it is a really intense form of doing the training and there might be challenging time...
The Yoga Teacher Training at Pranapure was a great experience for me. I followed the 200h Yoga Teacher Training during the course of 4 weeks with Hardy and Daniela as my teachers. With that many hours in 4 weeks it is a really intense form of doing the training and there might be challenging times and long days from time to time, but it gives you the unique chance to fully immerse into the experience, so I really recommend it. Hardy and Daniela are great teachers with a lot of knowledge and have both really entertaining ways to teach, it was always interesting and there was no question that could not be answered. In this training you get several hours of yoga (asana) classes and alignment daily, I was taught in the styles of Hatha, Vinyasa, Aerial and Yin Yoga. However, the training does not merely focus on asana classes but goes way beyond with a focus on Raja Yoga, studying Patanjali's 8 limbs of yoga, diving into the whole science of yoga including philosophy, history, anatomy as well as ayurveda and personal development - nothing is missing. For people interested in doing the 200h training it might also be interesting to know in advance, for my training there was no fix group of students throughout the whole 4 weeks, so that the structure was adapted slightly, so other students who were attending only 2 weeks of training could join. This way the "topic" of the week or style of yoga varied, which also helped while learning. There were also regular students joining for the asana classes in the studio. This allowed the teacher training students to get a first hand change of watching how to modify poses for some students in classes, which was really interesting and helpful to observe for us future teachers. The last thing to mention is the location – Gran Canaria, Maspalomas obviously offers great weather throughout the whole year and although you might not have a lot of time during the training days to enjoy the sunshine at the beach, you still can go on the weekends or enjoy the sunset. Besides you can enjoy the sunshine during breaks or even during your yoga classes on the beautiful outdoor terrace of the studio. In case of more wind or early morning classes there also is a studio room indoors. Overall, I can only thank Hardy and Dani again for everything they taught me, I enjoyed my training a lot and can highly recommend it.
