If you want to experience amazing wines, see beautiful castles and eat the most amazing food at Michelin Star restaurants or at par, look no further! Sylvain is happy and truly excited to show you his country. The adventure awaits! You will experience wineries with Wine Geometry Tours that will be very difficult to get to on your own. His knowledge and translation was important to understanding the wine experience. I loved it and shipped wine home which I am enjoying. I hope to bring some friends next year!! It's just that good. Thank you Sylvain and your beautiful family.I traveled solo to Paris for a month of work and wanted to make the most of my first trip to France. I traveled solo to Paris for a month of work and wanted to make the most of my first trip to France. My 3-day Loire Valley tour was the first of four long weekend getaways and wine tours, and my time with Sylvain and Irina was, no contest, the most professionally organized and my absolute favorite. Here's why. The wine. I was a newcomer to French wines and booked this trip to learn more. Sylvain is a sommelier who enthusiastically provided a personalized wine education, including regional history, winemaking techniques, and tasting guidance. And because he has relationships with winemakers, I got direct access to producers and their facilities. The food. This tour allowed me to sample the richness of Loire Valley gastronomy. Sylvain asked my preferences and then took care of all reservations. His choice of restaurants and their offerings were impeccable. Some highlights: oysters from Brittany, traditional stews and andouillette, raclette...and a tour of a chocolate-making facility and of a dairy farm to sample fresh goat cheese. Castles and history. Sylvain is training to be a Certified National Guide, which means he is also knowledgeable about architecture and design. He was able to point out interesting details and distill a lot of French history in a short amount of time. The Loire Valley has a lot to see, and in three days I toured Chaumont, Chenonceau, Chambord, Cheverny, Blois, and Château D'Azay-le-Rideau. Logistics. I didn't have to worry about driving, planning, or translation for three days, and would not have gotten as much out of my Loire Valley visit without the help of such a proficient guide. The accommodations. Sylvain and Irina's B and B is centrally located in beautiful Blois. They recently renovated the property, with a wonderfully modern bathroom, comfortable bed, all necessary amenities, and amazing breakfast each morning. Plus, baby Alicia is adorable and there's a wine cave! Above all, Sylvain and Irina are amazing hosts and exceedingly kind people. It can be difficult to travel alone, and they made me feel welcome and at home for the duration of my trip. All expectations were exceeded, and I only hope I can return with my husband and friends for another Wine Geometry tour.My husband and I had been looking for tours in the Loire Valley for a while when we saw Sylvain's tours. My husband and I had been looking for tours in the Loire Valley for a while when we saw Sylvain's tours. It seemed perfect, combining chateaus and wine. Turns out, it was even better than we expected: Sylvain knows so much about his country, the history of these castles and, of course, excels in wine tasting and teaching. We learned so much during these 4 days, and taking time to enjoy lunch with him, discussing culture, was the highlight of our trip. His B&B is really cozy, they did a great job renovating and we felt like at home. Thanks again for the lovely moments and we'll certainly tour another part of France (Brittany or Cognac maybe) with you next year.
