Hong Kong Island, Hong Kong
1 - 8
Including the endangered black faced spoonbill, of which one of the largest populations in the world breeds in Hong Kong.
This tour includes a visit to the famed Wetland Park in Tin Shui Wai, and a cycling tour through Nam Shang Wai, one of the best wetland sites of Hong Kong, consisting mainly of abandoned shrimp ponds. Mangrove forests can be seen as well here.
The itinerary is dependent on the tide, as the wetland park is best visited during low tide, so the mud flats are dry and the fiddler crabs, mud skippers and other animals that live in the intertidal zone are visible. Morning and afternoon may be swapped.
Price includes guide fee. Extra cost: taxi from your hotel to Tin Shui Wai, bicycle rent about $150 per person, lunch about $50-100 per person.
