In the southern area around the main station, immigrants from Turkey, India, Pakistan and the Arabian countries created their own world.
Narrow alleys, densely populated passages, mosques and bazaars are locations on our tour through the most colourful and most feisty quarter of Munich, where globalisation is not discussed, but lived.
Due to building measures, some of the facades were covered. The places where we got the explainations by the guide were a bit too small for our 15-member group so that not all participants could understand the guide.
We had a tour with the focus on the "Multicultural Munich". Even though we are all living in Munich, we learned a lot of new things about the quarter around the main station from our guide Ms Siedel. We can only recommend Ms Siedel, because she is competent, provided us with a lot of background knowledge and told some nice anecdotes. Also, her culinary tips were great. It was a lot of fun and we can only recommend the tour with her.
