Stop At: San Ignacio Mission, Km 3 Creel - Arareko, 33200 Mexico
In the ejido San Ignacio de Arareko is this Jesuit mission of the 18th century. The town that houses it is typical Tarahumara scattered in 20 thousand hectares of forest and is around the mission that meets the community. Next to it, there is a museum that exhibits 45 paintings of sacred art. It is in the middle of stunning landscapes of rock formations such as the Valley of Fungi, Frogs and Monks. Nearby is Arareko Lake.
