Waimea Canyon Downhill Bike Ride
Overview
We share some of the most intimate history and legends about Kaua'i in a personal way, stopping at the most iconic and secret lookouts covering three state parks, we venture in a bucket list type coasting downhill bike ride, we make it down to the breeze of the Pacific just on time to witness the beautiful sunset over the forbidden island.
**Requirements and restrictions**
Weight limit 250lbs
Height minimum 4'11inches and maximum 6'5 inches
14 years or older
Must have closed toe shoes, NO sandals or water shoes or crocs
Must have good biking skills
We depart on time and is not possible to meet after we depart meeting location, no shows or late arrivals will forfeit your ticket.
No pregnant guest
*We ride on public asphalt road, this is NOT mountain biking

What to expect
Itinerary
The best views of the grand Canyon of the Pacific, Waipo'o falls, and Napali coast from secret lookouts, coast downhill bike ride, beautiful sunset from Kekaha beach.
We make the most out of the van ride on the way up, stopping along the way to explore the Waimea Canyon, Kokee, and Napali state parks.
Bike ride is a total of 11.7 miles.
Duration of the bike ride is about 45 to 55 minutes depending on the flow of the group.
Speeds can average about 17 to 20mph, second part of the bike ride we can get higher speeds for those that feel more comfortable. We always advise to stay at your own comfortable level and ride safe at all times.
Group participation highly recommended, a lot more than just a bike ride.

We had a blast today with Nino and Kiana! These guys are super knowledgeable and fun. Our ages ranged from 30 to 67 and all agree it felt safe AND exhilarating. So much fun, book it!!

This was a fantastic tour. They made it fun for everyone. Stopped along the way for some photos, played trivia on the way to the top of Waimea and had a great ride down before sunset!

This is more than just a downhill bike ride. Neno and Liana, our fun and awesome tour guides, shared stories and history about the surrounding towns, islands, Kaua’i, Hawai’i, the plants, the parks, etc.. We learned a lot on our ride up and down the mountain and we stopped many times to take pict...
This is more than just a downhill bike ride. Neno and Liana, our fun and awesome tour guides, shared stories and history about the surrounding towns, islands, Kaua’i, Hawai’i, the plants, the parks, etc.. We learned a lot on our ride up and down the mountain and we stopped many times to take pictures at various lookout points that were not publicly labeled. Liana took pictures of each couple in the group at each stop doing normal poses and funny poses. It was so nice to have someone take pics and not have to ask someone or take selfies. At the end of the bike ride, we saw the sunset on the beach and it was so pretty and not crowded. This is an awesome way to see 3 state parks, Waimea Canyon, and learn more about the island. The men who took us were so informative about the hike the island and the bike ride downhill. They made sure we were safe the whole way and we’re so entertaining. I would recommend this fun ride to anyone.

We just did this tour yesterday and we can t recommend this enough. Our guides were incredibly knowledgeable and extremely funny. What a perfect combination and a great pair. We all received a fabulous history/flora and fauna lesson delivered with humor and sincerity. It was perfect! The beauty of the canyon cannot be described in words, but is really awe inspiring. This trip was the best introduction to the area and we are so thankful we signed up for this adventure. The views, the warmth of the guides and the thrill of flying down the roads with the wind in your face makes for an amazing day. Seriously…the smiles were non-stop! This is a MUST DO when on Kauai. (Tip: if you get car sick, you may want to take a Dramamine prior. They drive the van smoothly and with great care, but with the switchbacks on some parts of the road climbing up the canyon, it could make some people nauseous.)
