As it was only the 2 of us in the English speaking group, he made the extra effort to show us some extra sightseeing spots which we loved! Would highly recommend this tour, especially with Colin!Expert guide, everything well presented. Enjoyed whole day in a comfortable coach. Sailing well organised.

If you’re looking for a reliable, high quality tour company I cannot recommend this firm highly enough. I spent hours researching ahead of my trip, & by combination of itineraries offered & glowing TripAdvisor reviews, decided upon Tamaran. Top choice! My first trip was a private tour of the North. This itinerary includes Teide, Garachico, Icod de Los Vinos, &, best of all, the stunning town of Oratova. It’s also available as a group tour, but as these didn’t fit my dates I bit the bullet & kicked off with a private trip. I was so lucky to be allocated the amazing Frankie as my driver/guide. He’s local, so knows the island inside out, but having lived in England for extended periods, is also fully fledged in the English language, & British culture, meaning he gets all the in-jokes & nuances of British life. Previous reviewers on this platform have referred to him (& he’s become a little bit legendary for), his phrase ‘Amazing innit!’ Such is his genuine love for the island. He was the perfect companion for a private tour, plus, as a solo female, I felt really comfortable & safe in his care. Frankie also speaks fluent Italian (in addition of course, to his native tongue). You’re in for a fab time if he leads your tour. If he doesn’t, I’d still highly recommend Tamaran. They respond immediately & personally to emails & are extremely obliging of personal requests. It’s a well run, long established set up, specialising in small group trips. A further bonus is that their tours expressly do not do touristy, commercial, back hander stops at local hawkers. I went on to do two additional (group) tours; an all day excursion to stunning La Gomera, & a trip to the North East, taking in La Laguna, Anaga, Taganana, Las Teresitas & Candelaria. All trips had less then 8 people & included lunch with wine, & hotel drop off. Covid precautions were strictly adhered to. I had an amazing time on each of the trips - & feel so glad that I chose Tamaran to introduce me to the island. This trip was amazing. The island is great and the tour has many stops. This trip was amazing. The island is great and the tour has many stops. We loved the stops on the Teide but actually there are so many beautiful spots. And Frankie made it AMAZING! You can tell he is very passionate about his job and knows almost any fact and story on the island. He is interacting with the people, the nature (he stops regularly to let you see or smell the special flowers or cacti) and waves to the locals. His British accent is lovely and make sure to ask him about the whistle language! This all was so worth the price! We saw a number of great sites and towns. The guide was knowledgeable and friendly. There was a delicious meal included in the price of the trip. Don't be silly like me and bring winter clothes for when you step outside the volcano part. I recommend this trip without reservations, it's worth it
