Our tour guide, Kristof, was excellent. Do not eat before because you will get LOTS of food. All of it very good.

This was an absolutely fabulous tour! Christophe took us to places outside the center which we would never have gone to on our won. All the while he told us stories and led us to places that only a local would know. The food was amazing - do not eat before and you won't want to eat after!!

We had a wonderful guide, Peter who was so informative and knowledgeable about the history of Vienna. He also took us to some wonderful food stops and it was delicious. He was charming to be with and would highly recommend Peter him for this food tour.

We had an absolutely amazing time with on this tour. We visited Vienna for the first time and booked this food tour as it came highly recommended and I can see why. Whatever you do, DO NOT eat before you go on this tour! Christophe was our guide and he was brilliant. He was friendly, informative and more than eager to answer questions you had about Vienna and Viennese culture. He led us from a Viennese breakfast to pre-lunch to dessert to lunch and drinks and street food. The Kaiserschmarrn is now a particular favourite of mine. 😍 Also particular shout out to Thomas for making sure we ended the tour on a high. I can honestly say that you will not regret booking this tour, especially if you are lucky enough to have Christophe as your guide. I cannot recommend this enough!

The tour included not only information about food but also about Vienna and its culture. The food was delicious at each of the stops. Maria was a great guide. Bravo.

Here’s an understatement: you’ll be well fed. More accurately, our tour guide Christoph told us “if you leave this tour hungry, I’m fired”. If you’re able to book this tour on your first day in Vienna, do it. It got us out of the city center and into some neighborhoods (“districts”) we would have never seen otherwise, and gave some perspective and appreciation for what the town looks and feels like outside the main tourist attractions. You’ll get the full Viennese experience: cafe culture, open air markets, truly unique ice cream, satisfying desserts, trendy restaurants, local beers/drinks, and the street food scene that I didn’t realize I needed so badly in my life until now. Along the way, Christoph did a great job giving us a proper lesson in Viennese culture from a local’s perspective. His dry humor, wit, and knowledge were the perfect pairing with all the tasty food and drink we enjoyed as he guided us around the city and fielded our questions along the way. Another reason to book the trip on your first day: you’ll get terrific recommendations for restaurants and bars for the rest of your stay. We went to one of their recommended cocktail bars after the tour was done and it was great. Only wish we had more time to visit more of their suggestions before we left! Probably worth reiterating, but part of the authenticity of this trip is that you’ll be riding public transit with your tour guide to get to the different places. Vienna’s subways and street cars were a clean, efficient and convenient way to get around town. We had already purchased the 48 hour “Vienna City Card”, which included unlimited public transit rides - but Christoph quickly helped anyone who needed help purchasing a transit ticket for the tour and kept us well organized at each stop. Bottom line: it’s a fun experience that we’re really glad we did.

A really fantastic tour and experience. Peter was fantastic at explaining about the food including it's history and origins as well as the history of Vienna. The tour lasted a good 6 hours but it went so quickly due to the amount of stops to eat/drink something. We visited restaurants and food stands that you wouldn't find yourself as they are off the beaten track. Peter was great at engaging all of our group in French and English, switching between the two languages with ease. We finished the tour very full and happy, having learnt and experienced that day. Highly recommended.

What an amazing tour! I can't say enough about how good Maria our tour guide was. She was so informative and knew so much information. The food was so good. Wear walking shoes and bring your appetite, you won't be disappointed.

The food, wine, and beer was wonderful! The group size was too, not too large. What made the tour absolute perfection was tour guide. He was extremely witty and fun to converse with. Such a delightful personality. I would recommend this tour with the selections of food and if you can get Wolfgang even better!

Our guide was Maria and she was excellent in every way. Her explanations of why we went where we did were great. She did an excellent job of speaking to the history and significance. The places we visited for food and drink were great and we enjoyed them all. We also used the public transit system and that worked very well for us.

Peter was an amazing guide who shared a lifetime of Viennese experiences, history and information with us. The tour lasted all day and we traveled all over Vienna to sample delicious food and drink as well as tour some historical landmarks. Peter also made himself available via email after the tour and was very helpful in providing recommendations. Don’t miss this tour when visiting Vienna!

This was an excellent introduction to Vienna. Our guide, Maria, was full of knowledge. The food was amazing. We went all over, visiting establishments for a variety of treats. By the end of the tour, I was so full that I couldn't finish my food! That never happens. And I went back to the pastry shop the next day for another delicious krapfen. Not only was the food tour itself great, this is an excellent way to learn how to navigate the public transport system in the city. If you've never been to Vienna before, I highly recommend you take this tour at the beginning of your trip so you can move around easily the rest of the time.

Our tour guide as Maria, young, enthusiastic and very knowledgeable. Between others we tasted some amazing apple cakes and Melange coffee, as well Thomas’s slow cooked pork and many other local delicacies. Enjoyed every moment. Warmly recommended tour.

The real people who prepared and served delicious meals, snacks, pre-lunch and lunch in all the districts we toured. Maria is charming and attentive. We got a good idea of where we were and how to get around. Met some very nice fellow travelers. Great tour for the start of your stay.

This is without a doubt, the best way to experience the food and soul of Vienna! Everyone we met was so passionate about the food they were preparing, cooking or serving. We skipped breakfast, but we were still absolutely stuffed by the 'pre-lunch'! Christoph is the sweetest, kindest, most genuine and informative man, and the Austrians seem to share the same sense of humour as the Brits, so we got along famously. What a truly special experience. We had a limited time in Vienna and feel so lucky that we found this tour. Having been on food tours all over the world, this has to be one of the best. Our guide Christof was a treasure! He went above and beyond in teaching us not only about "Vienna's kitchen," but also Viennese culture, history, and daily life.
