We were quite disappointed and thus would not recommend taking this tour. The pickup came with delay without communication. It took us a very long time to get to the mount Vesuvio and our guide didn‘t even come up the mountain. The Limoncello tasting was more or less a store promotion and the wine tasting was a hurry. We could try four wines and eat something, however we couldn’t really enjoy as the waiters were hurrying. It was very touristy and for the masses. The best part about the trip were the conversations with the other tourists. Sadly we need to say that we wouldn’t do this tour again.

Gino was an awesome guide. The ruins were an an incredible sight. We were very informed about Pompeii.

This tour was not as expected. The tour sounds like it is one pick up location, but our pick up was late because of picking up people from 8 different hotels before getting to us, so we were over an hour late to arrive at Vesuvius, so we had to rush up and right back down , was very disappointed that didn't get to do the full trail because of this. We then went to the the Russo vineyard for lunch and wine tasting, they sat us down and poured the wine without discussing the grape or type of wine, and each wine was poured into the same glass. Is that how they really want you to taste their wine?? No much pride in the quality of the wine if you don't pour in clean glasses for tasting to not mix and didn't ever explain the wines. The food was tasty and filling. We then departed and was told we would be back in an hour if no traffic.... But we then started dropping off at all of the hotels, as we got within 10 mins of the drop off point, they turned away from the city and went through long way around a very winding road to drop off at 8 different hotels, adding another hour to the trip (so took 2 hours to return from vineyard because of this), and because we were back late, the driver didn't want to go to the drop off point and dropped us at a different location .... We spent so much time on the bus because of all the pick ups... Would have never reserved this experience if it was clear that there is that many pick up and drop off points making the day a very long day on the bus and not enough time at the mountain. Paid a lot of money to sit on a bus all day, not worth it.

The volcano itself was spectacular but the bus ride from Sorrento was difficult. We spent almost an hour picking up others from different hotels before even starting the 1.5 hour bus ride to the volcano. This is not only an issue with timing but also there were no bathroom facilities on the bus. It just makes sense that any bus tour longer than 1.5 hours needs a toilet to be comfortable. Especially when we finally arrived at Vesuvius and the only bathroom option there was a filthy one inside a store where you had to purchase overpriced items to access the bathroom! Unacceptable. Plus we got stuck in traffic going up and coming back. We determined we were on the bus longer than off it for this day. The lunch and wine tasting at the winery were very good and the food was excellent. It was just a very very long and trying day from Sorrento. Our guide was fine, gave us some history of the different towns we passed going to the volcano. It’s a short but steep hike up to the crater and we had 60 mph winds up there so come prepared. We didn’t use the park guides as we had only 1.5 hours at the volcano most of which was spent just hiking to the top. Great experience summiting the volcano and at lunch but this tour company needs to organize the transportation and timing better. Might be better to take the local train to Ercolano closer to Vesuvius and get a tour from there.

Amazing. Picked up near to hotel in Sorrento and taken to Vesuvius. The guide, Pasqual, was so knowledgeable and seemed very passionate about the risk of eruption to the people who lived near to the volcano. On the basis of Pasqual's knowledge we booked a trip to Erolano the next day. We parked quite close to the top so only a 20 minute walk for us. They gave plenty of time for everyone to walk to and from the top if needed so it considered people of varying mobility. It would be challenging for someone with limited mobility but there is still an opportunity to enjoy fantastic views. It was damp and foggy at the top but i didn't feel cold in shorts and tee. I would recommend a light raincoat just in case and you do need some suitable shoes/trainers though as the path is steep and can be slippy. The views all the way up to the top are breath taking, amazing. Next stop the vineyard. Brilliant. We had a 4 course light lunch paired with no less than 6 different wines and then a tour of the vineyard. We met some lovely people on this tour too and the staff there were very passionate and knowledgeable. I will definitely be ordering some wine for Christmas. Highly recommended.

A super packed day that allows you to get so much done! A hike up Vesuvius with amazing views to start, followed by a lunch, tasting and vineyard tour. A lovely little day trip with a very knowledgeable guide.

We were collected from our hotel at 09:00 and spent approximately 45 minutes collecting others from various hotel around Sorrento. Our tour guide, Chinzia, was excellent and very entertaining during the journey with plenty of facts and history about Vesuvius and the surrounding area. After two hours on the coach, we arrived at the first stop, a small shop and bar half way up Vesuvius. It was a welcome opportunity for us to stretch our legs and use the facilities. After a 40 minute stop, the coach continued up Vesuvius to 1000m elevation. Once we arrived we had 90 minutes free time to walk to the peak. The walk was just over 200m in elevation and approximately 3km in total (1.50km up and 1.50km down). The 90 minutes free time was a good duration to do this, with plenty of photo stops etc. The walk was a little challenging in the 35°C heat, but bring sensible shoes and plenty of water and you will be fine. For any drone users, it’s worth noting they have a strict no-fly zone around the volcano. Chinzia continued to provide some interesting commentary during the 45 minute drive from Vesuvius to the vineyard. When we arrived at the vineyard we were looked after by Maria and her team. The wine tasting and three-course meal was delicious. There were six tasters which were served throughout the meal, including a Prosecco to start, a white and a rosé served with the starter, two reds which were served with the main and an apricot liqueur which was served with the dessert. The tasters were quite small, but the staff were happy to top up your glass (if you asked nicely). The wine tasting seemed a little rushed, and we would have liked more information about the wine, tasting notes etc, but we had a great time regardless. Overall, we would recommend this experience and feel it was reasonably priced. A special thank you to Chinzia, who is an excellent tour guide and to Mario, our coach driver, who safely navigated us up through the tight bends of Vesuvius!

Very disappointing tour. The guide picked us up two hours late. There was no communication from the company about revised time of pick up so we were just sitting outside the hotel waiting to be picked up. The whole tour was behind schedule so we missed our booking to go up Mt Vesuvius. The guide didn’t tell us this could happen until we were already halfway there so we couldn’t change our plans and do something else with the day. We didn’t get to see the crater at all ☹️ The wine tour was okay but felt a bit rushed.

Fantastic day, with a bus ride half way up Vesuvius, an impromptu tour at the top, then an excellent lunch and wine tasting at a vineyard. Beautiful food and wine, and we bought some to take home too. Our only criticism is that the bus was 30min late to collect us, with no message at the time to say so. But otherwise, brilliant.

Absolutely loved the drive up and the final walk up round the top of the Mount Vesuvius. What an experience. Our guide was fun and informative. Had enough time to explore on our own. That was my highlight. The vineyard was good wine lovely and meal but wasn’t very exciting and the tour was five minutes round. But over all the trek was what I booked it for

Coach trip from Sorrento then 20 min hard walk very slippery advise to wear good walking shoes and bring a sweater even though walking fast can get a chill there are couple stop of points with usual shops with wine and bits and bobs. At the top wine red or white which tastes excellent. Well deserved. View was amazing has to be done. Then off to wine taste 5 glasses of various wines with a light meal 3 courses showed us around the wine yard and explained about caskets ect was ok highlight was the volcano

Comfortable vehicle from Sorrento. Adequate time to clime to the crater and enjoy contact with Mount Vesuvius. Interesting vineyard and wine making facilities but rather superficial contact with them. A reasonable lunch.

A great experience combining a trip to see the crater of Vesuvius followed by a light lunch and wine tasting. The wine was very good and those brave enough did a spot of grape treading the traditional way. It was good fun as long as you were prepared to expose your toe nails to public scrutiny..

This is not a tour for the very young or old. The trail is very steep and you Must have the physical ability to climb the mountain. But the views are worth it. Caution about the toilet at the start of the trail. They are not very good at keeping them clean. Now, on to the Winery. Very good experience. A short overview of the wine making process. Then, if you want take your shoes off and stomp the grapes. Very fun! You are served a very good lunch with wine pairing with each course. Good wine! And of course you will have a change to buy some wine. About an hour from Sorrento.

Given the traffic congestion in the area, the tour should have at least 1.5 hours earlier. The guide was pleasant but not very informative. The connection with the park rangers was non existent as many of us had no idea where they were located and simply continued on to the crater. Since we started late we did not arrive at the winery until 2:30 and did not eat until 3 or later. The food was mediocre. Please send me a refund for this tour.

My sister and I really enjoyed this tour. It was a nice excursion that wasn’t water/beach involved to change it up. Although, we didn’t expect the hike up the volcano to be as steep and slippery (loose gravel rocks). We would definitely recommend wearing sneakers & hat.(not much shade) but it’s all worth the view! There’s a brief tour at top of Mt and beautiful views. Then the drive to winery was about 20min, great views, friendly people, small snacks and pasta paired with wine. We had a fun time and enjoyed the whole experience. Pick up was a little tricky to figure out where the bus would get us in sorrento- so I would try and clarify that before.

The view at the top of Mount Vesuvius is breathtaking, and worth the hike. I wish we had a little more time at the winery but it was still fun and the food was great.

Our tour guide Anna was superb . She was very informative about the whole trip. She had good knowledge of the surroundings from where we were passing through. Definitely a great guide. Experience of winery was very good. The only bit I wasn’t happy about the trip was that we didn’t meet our guide on our way to Mount Vesuvius . Nowhere to be seen . So bit disappointing. Otherwise a good trip. Would recommend it .
