Overview

Our Sherry Bodegas (winery) Tour is a full day tour experience, where you will enjoy complete private tours with a guide from the each cellar of three bodegas around the "Marco de Jerez". In the first one you will see the press machines and the fermentation tanks. Of the three cities where sherry can be aged in the whole world, we will visit two cellars in two of these cities. You will try several wines specific to each region, and 6 VORS over 30 years old in two of the three cellars. You will be carrying your glass and try sherry straight from the barrel!

We will stop close to where all the vineyards are and your wine certified guide will tell you the importance of "albariza" soil to produce the best sherries in the world.

Come and join us in this small group tours, where at the end you will become an expert in Sherry and have tried some of the best wines in the world.

What to expect

Our Sherry Bodegas (winery) Tour is a full day tour experience, where you will enjoy private tours of three bodegas around the "Marco de Jerez". You will try several wines specific to each region, and 6 VORS over 30 years old in two of the three cellars. You will even try sherry straight from the barrel!

You will visit a cellar (bodega) in Chiclana de la Frontera. This is the perfect place to understand the whole sherry process from when the grapes arrive up to the "bota" (barrel).

We will then head to Sanlúcar de Barrameda. We will enjoy a private tour in a cellar (bodega) here. We will eat lunch here, local Cadiz and Andalusian food, such as "salmorejo", "tortillita de camarones", "pescaíto frito", "gambas de Sanlúcar", with a drink, in the heart of this beautiful coastal city.

On the way to our last Bodega back at Jerez de la Frontera, we will stop to enjoy the views of a vineyard on its famous Albariza soil and talk about why this soil produces the best palomino and moscatel grapes. In Jerez de la Frontera, we will try more VORS wines. Some wines will be paired with traditional desserts produced from the nearby convent.

We will then drop you off at pick up location.

Carlos is very knowledgeable and great company too. It was a great afternoon - learning about sherry, sampling wonderful local dishes and discussing every detail in a range of atmospheric bars.
