Tromsø: 4-Hour Northern Lights Photo Cruise

Excellent experience, although the weather was really bad the team made every effort to ensure we still saw the lights which we did. They were very accommodating and entertained my 8 and 10 year old boys teaching them about lines of latitude and longitude, time zones, how to navigate a map, the geography of where they were, shadow sizes, daylight hours being affected by longitude position, how hurricanes are formed etc.

Guter Preis, wenn man will ist es auch warm, anders als bei den landgebundenen Fahrten. Die Leute haben, die das gemacht haben, haben alle ordentlich gefroren. Also dringend ein Schiff zur Aurora Beobachtung nutzen und diesen Veranstalter wählen, der entsprechend große Boote einsetzt. Wichtig : Auf der ersten Tour haben wir kaum Nordlicht gesehen. Deshalb durften wir ein zweites Mal gratis mitfahren. Die Tour dauert 4 Stunden

Expérience extraordinaire, guides sympas mais bateau un peu vieux et qui pue un peu

Der Whirlpool war nicht eingeschaltet, wie eigentlech in der Tour beschrieben ist. Sitzplätze waren kaum vorhanden, musste stehen für die Heimfahrt. Nordlichter waren nicht zu sehen, was aber kein Problem war, ist halt Natur.

El barco era pésimo. Cuando vimos el interior nos bajamos. En el exterior no se podía ir porque no tenía asientos y estaba lleno de nieve.

Meine Vorstellung war, dass man mit dem Schiff weit rausfahren kann, fernab von sämtlichen Lichtern. Stattdessen war Tromsö noch gut zu sehen und auch an den Ufern drum herum waren die Lichter zu sehen. Es hätte zwar von der Dunkelheit wohl dennoch gereicht um die Nordlichter zu sehen, aber ich hätte mir dennoch gewünscht weiter raus zu fahren. Es gibt das Angebot, die Tour am nächsten Tag gratis zu wiederholen, wenn man keine Pokarlichter gesehen hat. Ich habe mich dennoch dagegen und für die Jagt per Bus entschieden. Das hat mir besser gefallen. Der Guide war aber sehr nett und hat sich bemüht. Ich fand es in dem Schiff auch sehr eng unter Deck.

Bardzo fajna atrakcja

Bei schlechtem Wetter hängt man 4 Stunden mit mehreren Fahrgästen in einer kleinen Kabine rum umd hofft dass die Fahrt balkd vorbei ist.

Excellent trip. Friendly, informative staff who were very helpful when it came to taking photos and pointing out the Northern Lights. The hot tub and sauna was a brilliant addition and adds a unique touch to the trip. Plenty of hot drinks and indoor areas to warm up before going back out again for some more Northern Light spotting.

It is a nice trip but what I didn’t like was that even that it lasts 4 hours, remains in Tromso, it doesn’t go far from the light pollution. The jacuzzi and sauna are a cool experience.

It was hard to find Aurora but we saw a little bit of light through the clouds. I really enjoyed being on the boat. The guides were nice. Thanks for the boat trip! Loved it. Very comfortable!

Notre Guide Simon était très bien, (francophone qui plus est) et nous a aidé à paramétrer nos appareils pour Capter au mieux les Aurores Boréales !

Altes Schiff. Kleidung gegen Kälte wurde nicht angeboten. Whirlpool war zu. Leider keine Nordlichter aufgrund des Wetters gesehen. Für das Wetter kann natürlich niemand was.

Eine super Idee die Nordlichter ohne störendes Licht der Stadt zu sehen. Von da aus kann man mit Glück das ganze Oval des Nordlichtes sehen. Die Guides auf dem Schiff sind super nett, erklären viel. Sie machen Fotos vom Nordlicht und den Personen, die sich davor in Position stellen. Nach dem Trip kann man sich die Bilder hochladen. Zwingend notwendig: Warme Kleidung und feste Schuhe da es draußen auf dem Schiff recht zugig/kalt und durch die Gischt recht glatt ist. Lohnt sich auf jeden Fall.

War enttäuschend für den Preis. Auch das mit dem Jacuzzi war nur eine Ansage ohne Wert. Das wäre wenigstens eine coole Abwechslung bei der kalten Bootsfahrt im Dunkeln gewesen. Entweder man hat es im Programm oder lässt es draussen. Wenn dann weder Nordlicht noch Jacuzzi dann ist die ganze Tour nur warten auf nix.

What an awesome experience! Highly recommended. Also, if you get too cold, you can go inside and drink tea, coffee etc at any time. People even brought their young children. Really, really cool. And the photographer was amazing! He took really nice pictures with his professional camera and uploaded our pictures for us to freely download. Thank you so much!

Es war soweit alles in Ordnung. Buchung, Ablauf alles gut. Aber die Nordlichtgarantie kann naturgemäß nicht erfüllt werden. Auch bei der 2. Tour, die wie versprochen ohne Extrakosten gemacht wurde, keine Nordlichter. Vielleicht hätten wir sogar nochmal mitfahren dürfen, aber jeder Urlaub geht mal zu Ende. Also von der Durchführung war alles bestens, aber Natur kann man nicht auf Termin buchen.

Esperienza stupenda! L’aurora non è come si vede nelle foto ma è un fenomeno bellissimo egualmente. Il capitano della nave ha avvistato l’aurora dopo solo mezz’ora di navigazione ed eccezionalmente ci ha fatti uscire fuori per ammirarla. La guida molto simpatica e disponibile per qualsiasi necessità. Inoltre al termine viene fornito il QR code per poter scaricare le foto fatte dalla guida.

So far one of the few tour options where our 4-year old and our 15-month baby could join us in our search for Northern Lights. The 2nd chance given (subject to slots availability if no sighting of Aurora Borealis on 1st try) is really a generous offer. Just talk/ask the travel company for assistance. We did see the Northern Lights on our 2nd chance and it was a magical experiencing it with our little kids.

I wouldn’t recommend booking this. They don’t chase the northern lights; they just take us like 30 mins away from the harbor and wait there an hour or 2 to see if the sky clears. Unfortunately we didn’t have the chance to see them but we also didn’t have an explanation about the northern lights. It says photos are included but if you don’t see them you won’t get any photo. I think we threw our money to the garbage because we didn’t really do anything in the boat, they don’t guarantee you see them or they don’t guarantee you anything. They don’t do refunds which is not nice because at least they should have given me a photo sitting on the boat or outside with the Mountain View in my back. I’d have booked instead something that really chases the northern lights.

We had an amazing experience in the Tromsø Northern lights cruise. The guide was very friendly and shared a lot of information and his experiences with Aurora chasing. We even had a conversation with captain of the cruise who was also very friendly and it was really informative. Though the forecast for the day was not promising, we were lucky to spot the northern lights with the help of the team. The guide was helpful in clicking wonderful pictures of us with Aurora in the background. Will definitely recommend it for Northern lights enthusiasts.
