Antonella die a very good job guiding is through the Monopoli area and have Lots of information Aboutaleb past and present. On our next visit we very likely will take another tour with them. Afterwards visit to their nice shop with tasting. Had a very nice day, Thanks to Antonella and her husband

This bike ride was wonderful. Antonella our guide was so engaging, passionate and knowledgeable & made it such a pleasure. It was fabulous to visit private places that are so authentic and we would not have had that opportunity otherwise. The bikes were good and we loved every minute of it

While we didn’t actually go on the tour because of a mix up, I can’t say enough how much everyone from the tour guide to trip advisor to viator were so helpful. We got a refund on our tour with no problems. Wish we would have done the tour. Sounds magical.

Really enjoyed our ride in the olive country with Antonella. She is very informed about the olive farming and processing. Amazing to see centuries old trees and farms. Had really nice treats during and after the ride. Would highly recommend.

We felt privileged to be invited into authentic working farms and on top of that to discover hidden underground edifices from many centuries ago. Our hosts were charming, passionate and knowledgeable about local history and farm produce. The olive oil tasting session at the end gave a whole new meaning to the tour of the ancient and more recent olive trees. I highly recommend this tour!

This was an amazing experience, Antonella was so knowledgeable. The bike was in great condition. The cycle was through some of the most beautiful countryside. Finished of with a taste of typical Puglian products, including a professional olive oil tasting. Will never look or taste olive oil the same again.

Claire,Tim, Simon and myself went on two bike trips with Antonella and Gianni. Claire and Tim went last year.. Antonella knew so much about the area and was so informative about everything. She was just so passionate, captivating and welcoming. It Just made both our trips so interesting. We cycled over 55km over the two trips. We sampled delicious food and wine and she took us to family run businesses all of which were so fascinating. The cycling then boat trip was great fun with a dive in the sea with snorkelling was perfect and just about dodged the storm in the distance!! These trips are a must and without a doubt made our holiday. Do not hesitate to book up. We will definitely book again next time we come. Thank you Antonella and Gianni xx

Wow, we visited Monopoli again this year and immediately decided to visit the wonderful Antonella and Gianni, to book 2 bike tours in our week’s holiday, after booking with them last year. They both remembered us and immediately made us feel welcome. We booked the Bike & Boat tour and also the Bike & Taste tour. We were a party of 4, 2 couples. The Bike & Boat tour took us safely through the beautiful countryside of olive trees, enjoying the smells and sights of Puglia. We visited the Egnazia trail, beaches, troglodyte caves and churches showing us amazing frescos on the walls, hidden within private residences. We visited the archeological site at Egnazia and finally arrived at Savalletri to catch our boat to return to Monopoli. We stepped on board, riding the waves stopping along the way to enjoy some local snacks, focaccia and lovely local wine, then plunging into the sea for a relaxing refreshing swim. Arriving back to Monopoli where Gianni greeted us in the harbour and walking back to their pretty authentic shop to sample more local produce available to buy. Which of course we did! The Bike & Taste tour, slightly more challenging but still manageable for our middle aged fitness levels! We caught a taxi pre arranged by Antonella and Gianni within the hills where they met us with the bikes, ready to go. Within a short distance we visited Maria on her farm, an amazing hard working woman, making her own cheese and bread, from her own cows. Luckily we were able to see her twin day old calves! She provided a wonderful tasting of her delicious products and of course we bought some cheese. A friendly, warm, welcoming lady despite the language barrier. Up and down a few hills, visiting an amazing church with incredible views. The following trail a long downhill ride through the 1000 year old olive trees until we reached a fortified farm, botanical gardens and finally reaching the Lapietra tomato farm, an innovation in farming growing without soil. The immense greenhouses with towering tomato vines, and yet again more local tasting of the delicious tomatoes. Mr Lapietra himself giving us a tour of the factory and generously giving us a punnet each of cherry tomatoes to take home. We cycled back towards Monopoli for a well earned beer and more local produce to sample at La Finestra sur Mare. Antonella is fabulous, she speaks fluent English and even laughed at our jokes! Made us feel so comfortable, like we were best of friends. Her knowledge and passion is evident, she knows everything about the local history! Gianni her husband is just as lovely, conscientious and on hand with any bike problems! They will ride at your pace and accommodate any stops along the way keeping everyone together safely. Water is provided along with helmets and high vis jackets if required. I can not recommend them enough. They are perfectly situated within the old town and nothing is too much trouble to ask. They made our holiday super special. Thank you so much Antonella and Gianni! X

Great biking tour in the countryside of Monopoli. We did about 24km in the hot afternoon but it was no problem with plenty of water and interesting stops. The fantastic guides took us to places that are not open to the public including old fortified farms with underground churches and olive mills. Thank you Antonella and Gianni - we will for sure come back for another tour

De tocht was zeer aangenaam, met regelmatig een verfrissende stop. Ideaal als alternatief op een stadsbezoek en zeker niet te zwaar als inspanning!

Sehr sympathische Tourführerin. Unsere Erwartungen wurden übertroffen. Sehr viele Informationen zu Olivenbäumen und Olivenöl. Olivenölprobe am Ende. Fahrräder in gutem Zustand. Ein Helm wird zur Verfügung gestellt.

Wir haben unter der Leitung von Antonella und Gianni eine wunderschöne Fahrradtour durch die frühlingshaften Olivenhaine in der Umgebung von Monopoli unternommen. Antonella ist eine fröhliche und mitreissende Erzählerin mit einem breiten Wissen über die Kultur, Geschichte und Kunstgeschichte der Region. Sie hat uns Türen geöffnet, die einem als Reisenden sonst verschlossen bleiben und uns Kulturschätze gezeigt, die eigentlich nicht öffentlich zugänglich sind. So sind wir auf sehr gut gewarteten Fahrrädern gemütlich über die von Trockenmauern gesäumten Straßen von Masseria zu Masseria gefahren, haben viel über die Olivenbäume und die lokale Produktion von Olivenöl erfahren und unter anderem historische Höhlenbehausungen, eine Höhlenkirche mit historischen Fresken und eine historische Ölmühle besucht. Zurück in Monopoli durften wir als Abschluss lokale Olivenöle, Wein und andere Delikatessen aus Monopoli kosten. Die Fahrradtour mit Antonella hat uns sehr viel Spaß gemacht und uns auf unterhaltsame Weise einen spannenden Einblick in die Besonderheiten der Region gegeben.

Mooie en informatieve fietstocht door het achterland van Monopoli. We bezochten verschillende privé Masseria’s en zagen o.a. een gerestaureerde olijfoliemolen uit de Middeleeuwen. Gianni en Antonella vertellen met veel passie over Puglia, haar geschiedenis en de lokale producten. Toffe activiteit!
