We had a fantastic private tour of Teotihuacan with Tekpan – highly recommended! Our guide, Frank, spoke perfect English and had an encyclopedic knowledge of the history, culture, theology, and architecture of the site. He gave us just the right amount of information and answered all our questions, aside from being just a lovely and interesting person to spend the day with! We appreciated the hotel pick-up, the stop for breakfast along the way (at a gas station that had great Italian coffee!), and the lunch restaurant. Be forewarned: this tour takes A LOT of energy, many miles of walking in the hot sun, and climbing many steep, narrow staircases. Be sure to bring a hat, sunscreen, and plenty of water. We were especially grateful that Frank left us in the middle to continue the tour on our own while he went back to the car to drive it around to the endpoint (which took more than an hour) – I’m not sure that we could have walked all the way back to the starting point on our own. We also highly recommend doing this as a private tour so you can go at your own pace.Frank / Fransisco was an awesome guide - was so informative and laid back. His car was very clean and nice too. We had an absolutely amazing time during our tour with Monse. From pickup to drop off and everything in between, Monse was kind, accommodating and knowledgeable. We’ve done many tours in various countries around the world, and few guides go out of their way to educate you the way that she does. This was the highlight of our trip to Mexico City! Absolutely fabulous private tour with Tekpan Tours. I traveled with my 2 grown children to Teotihuacan in a private car driven by our guide Frank. Communication with Tekpan was seamless, and Frank showed up on time in front of our apartment. On the way we picked up snacks and water, and discussed history, culture and art. Frank was an outstanding guide. He was extremely knowledgeable and gracious, he presented information clearly and concisely both about the history and nuances of the culture. He was patient with our questions and photo stops as well. We ended up having a rich and relaxed experience -- it was a perfect day and a highlight of our trip. Kudos to Tekpan and Frank for providing us with an exceptional and meaningful day.So glad we did this! Our tour guide (Gerardo) was excellent and the convenience of the private tour was so worth it. The pyramids are a must see, and I would highly recommend going with this company.
