The “Floating Islands” are incredibly commercial but interesting and worth the visit. Taquile Island was awesome! Very scenic hiking with tons of photo oops. Our guide Percy Flores was amazing! Very friendly, speaks multiple languages, and you could tell he had developed great relationships with the natives. His knowledge and commentaries made the tour very interesting to learn more about the history, culture, and traditions. All day tour by boat with lunch was $45 US. Fernando was able to add my friend last minute and met us at our hotel to make sure we got sent off ok. Very accommodating. Great value and probably the best thing to do out of Puno.
