All round perfect experience. This week turned out to be a once in a lifetime experience. From the first to the last day, we enjoyed every minute that we had. This week turned out to be a once in a lifetime experience. From the first to the last day, we enjoyed every minute that we had. The car is very comfortable and we all had a good sight outside the windows. Everything was perfectly organised and our guide David took really good care of us! It was very interesting to hear many facts about the animals that we‘ve seen, David has a lot of knowledge and patience to share. Thanks to him, we saw many different and rare animals, he was the one who spotted every single one of them. I would definitely do a safari again with TSB!In 2015, we took, what we thought was, our trip of a lifetime! In 2015, we took, what we thought was, our trip of a lifetime! It was an amazing adventure to Tanzania, Africa where we went on a truly breathtaking 8-day Safari. Being on a Safari for the first time we had no idea what really to expect. We did a lot of research and found a company and a guide, Michael, who was recommended on several reviews. From the first day we met Michael to our last day, we easily validated the reviews we read about him. Michael is extremely knowledgeable and compassionate with regards to the animals; the geographical regions; the people and their culture; the environment and nature; and the ecology. Over the year’s, we kept in touch with Michael. We reiterated how much we loved our trip in 2015 and felt he was so amazing that he should start his own company. Now in 2020, we had our second trip of a lifetime. We went on another Tanzania safari but this time with Michael as our guide and Co-owner of Tanzania Safari Bug, along with is amazing wife Sandra. It was a thrill to meet Michael again at the airport. Seeing him again felt like only a long weekend had passed since our last visit. This trip was totally amazing! Both times we chose to use the “middle of the road safari package”. We kept saying ‘if our package was the middle range, what were the higher range getting?’ The actual safari was more breathtaking than before. Every day we saw a wide variety of animals both near and far. I used my I-phone for photos, and since the animals were so close, I got some amazing shots. Often, while parked on the side of the road, elephants, giraffes, zebras, to name a few, passed within 1-2 metres from our jeep. We even saw lions about 10 m from us and another time, a lion was sleeping under a shrub on the side of the road. SPECTACULAR sightings! Michael, with his keen sense of the animals’ migration patterns, would sense or see where the animals were traveling and would then position the jeep for optimal viewing. As a result, we always got beautiful, up close, and natural photos. When thinking of accommodations for a safari, one would think it as being sub-standard, more like “roughing it” but not on our safari! The food and our accommodations were top-notch. All our meals were delicious! Items in our lunches were often too much to eat. Breakfasts and dinners were hot meals and again, so delicious! I must also add, the breakfast and dinner meals always came with a stunning and breathtaking view! We often ate our lunches in the company of our wildlife friends. One day, while we ate lunch in our jeep amongst resting and some feeding wildebeests and zebras, we listened to the wildebeests converse only metres from us. What an experience! We knew our accommodations and meals were going to be excellent because Michael and Sandra, always took the time to stay at the accommodations first, so they would experience what their clients would experience. They only chose the best for their clients. The staff at all the accommodations were super friendly, professional, and treated us like family. In closing, I would HIGHLY, beyond reservations, recommend that you choose Tanzania Safari Bug as your safari company for your trip of a lifetime. You will totally be taken away by the animals you see, the accommodations and this wonderful and knowledgeable company. Thank you, Michael and Sandra! Until we meet again!Congratulations! Congratulations! If you are reading this, then you have found the company for your safari! I know there are many many companies to choose from and I have done the work that you are doing now. This is the second time we have used Michael as our guide. Years ago, he was working as a guide for another company and now he is a local owner of a safari business. Michael is an amazing kind man who is patient (as I know from all the questions, we asked on safari) as well as extremely knowledgeable of the animals, habitat, and their behaviours. To this our group can attest to by seeing what he did on our safari, compared to many other drivers. Michael has the amazing talent of seeing subtle things, be it birds that react when cats are around, to what the animals do at certain times of the day… all of this makes him one of the best! Even though we are many time zones away, the company was fast to answer any of our questions and concerns. They helped us select the perfect safari itinerary, as well as some pretty amazing lodges/hotels to stay in. I can tell you that the owners spend a lot of time personally visiting every lodge/hotel to make sure all their clients get only the best experience. We did a mid-range price safari and I can tell you we often wondered what the clients who did the higher-end lodges were getting, because all of the lodges were spectacular! The food was top notch, too, for anyone who might be wondering. I had a chance to ask Michael about his business and his drivers/guides, since I know he cannot be the guide for everyone. I am happy to say that he passes on his knowledge and expectations to his team and wants his company, Tanzania Safari Bug, to have high standards and give each client a trip of a lifetime. I also found out that, being a local owner, the company is very environmentally conscious, which reflects in them giving each client a company logo water bottle to keep, rather than a one-use plastic water bottle. Being local, they also hire qualified local people as often as they can. Both Michael and Sandra (owners) also gives back to the local region and have some big plans for schools and other projects in the area as they begin to grow. From our experience with them, I have no doubt that they will have a reputation that will see great things for them in the future. Thank you both for giving our group such an amazing safari experience and we look forward to seeing you again some day and seeing what great things you will be doing for the people of the Arusha area.
