We had a fantastic day with our tour guide, James. Our tour started at Four Four South Village with a walk through history. James’ personal family connection with the village made history come alive. Of course, the highlight of the day was spent on top of Taipei 101. Once we were strapped into our safety harnesses, we walked out to the platform on the 101st floor…and WOW! The amazing view, the wind in your face, the adrenaline rush! It was so nice to have a professional photo taken of us out on the platform. Afterwards we spent quite some time on the enclosed observation floor below, we had the floor practically to ourselves. We then stopped into Bar 88 for a drink. We ordered a milk tea (that arrived with a full cloud on it!). Our last event of the day was a sampler course at Din Tai Fung. Perfect ending to a perfect day. No Turkey for us, but a perfect way to spend our Thanksgiving Day (US) holiday in Taipei. We would definitely go on another tour with James! Our tour guide, Ms Esther Chen, is the epitome of the tour guide. Knowledgeable, effectively bilingual (Eng/Chinese), bubbly, patient and non-pushy. It made our tour memorable. Thanks!!! The 101st floor walk is highly recommended-the cold wind against your face is refreshing, amidst the unblocked...

The 101st floor walk is highly recommended-the cold wind against your face is refreshing, amidst the unblocked cityscape and horizon. The cloud tea/coffee was delicious, with a good view of Taipei in sunset. The Four Four Army village tour was informative. The Din Tai Feng 10-course dinner was fantastic-and I'm not even a xiao long pow enthusiast. The package price made the tour a perfect one-thanks to MyTaiwanTour, it was an exceedingly great 4-hour plus day out!Everything about this tour was great. We started with a tour of the surrounding area, and learned more than expected, before heading up to the 101st floor for an incredible view of Taiwan! Then we ended with a very nice dinner at Din Tai Fung! All in all a great day!We were so lucky, as the morning we visited 101, it was election day and we had no waiting time and as good as no other people! So it was a very relaxed visit, which was quite worth. Impressing building, impressing hight. Absolutely must see in Taipeh!
