- The activity lasts 6:30 hours including round-trip transportation.
- We have two seasons for surf lessons, in the summer from March 15 to November 15, surf lessons are available on the Costa Azul. In winter from November 15 to March 15, we offer surf lessons at Cerritos beach During the winter there are no waves on the Costa Azul beach, which is why the change is made to Cerritos beach.
- To join the lesson as an observer you have to book a non-surfer/companion spot on our transport. The non-surfer/companion fee includes round trip transportation, shaded camp (umbrellas and chairs), bottled water and snacks. You’ll be able to enjoy the beach at our camp while observing the surf lesson. To book, simply select “observer (non-surfer)”.

We also have a vegetarian option with salads, quesadillas, beans, rice, etc. Lunch is included but optional, so there is no discount offered on the activity if you choose not to go for lunch.
- As we know the weather is a factor that can lead us to modify our day, sometimes we will have to change location, reschedule and / or cancel (the refund will be issued 100% in case of cancellation by us). You will be informed of the options and you will make the decision. Factors that could influence this are rain, high swell, wind and jellyfish.
- Your safety is our priority. When the conditions are not favorable, due to wind, high waves, or a tropical storm, we offer to change the day of your reservation or make a refund.
- For a full refund, you must cancel at least 48 hours in advance of the start date of the experience. No show or last minute cancellation will be charged in full. This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.
- All transfers are complementary and optional, therefore the price doesn’t change if you don’t use the transfer option.
- Mask available for sale in the case it is needed. If the client wishes to change lunch for a box lunch (where applicable), these will be available with 24-hour advance notice from the client. We will reduce the capacity to 50% of clients and promote private tours to have a healthy distance.

The trip was perfect from the time Efrain and Ivan picked us up at our resort until they brought us back. The trip included our two amazing guides, ourselves, another couple and someone touring solo. We had a great time. The guides quickly get everyone interacting, which makes for a great overall experience. Not wanting to speak for our tour mate traveling solo, but I’d definitely recommend this for solo travelers. The kayak trip to the arch was fun/easy. Efrain made sure to take pictures of all of us for souvenirs. None of us had waterproof packs for our phones but Ivan and Efrain let us borrow theirs. I’d recommend bringing yours. After the arch, we went to Pelican cove to snorkel. The fish were amazing. The guys offered bottled water and granola bars at the cove. We were there about an hour then headed back to the beach/van. We did not bring towels, so I’d recommend that, too! You can bring items to leave securely on the van. More waters at van for trip back to hotels. Overall such a great trip that I’d highly recommend. The guys were a lot of fun and incredibly knowledgeable of the area.We loved our 2 tours we booked with High Tide! We went kayaking to the arch and surf lessons. These were our experiences with both. We loved our 2 tours we booked with High Tide! We went kayaking to the arch and surf lessons. These were our experiences with both. Surfing My wife and I are complete beginner surfers and loved our experience with High Tide. They picked us up from our AirBnB in the morning and drove us a little over an hour away to a beach called Cerritos. Even without the surfing, the beach was worth it. The beach is wide and the waves are a perfect size. There aren't any coral reefs or rocks to worry about hitting in case you wiped out while surfing. (Which I tested many times ;) Our surf guide Marco was incredible. I still am not sure how he carried two huge surf boards, beach chairs, beach umbrella, and some other gear, by himself to the beach. We were very thankful that High Tide had wetsuits for us to wear. We got a quick lesson on dry ground and hit the waves! Marco did a great job giving us tips and even pushing us to help us catch the waves. I don’t know how he had so much energy because I was getting tired just paddling on the board. Despite Marco’s teaching I don’t think I am meant to be a pro surfer, but we still had an amazing day. Kayak to the Arch If you’re in Los Cabos you have to see the arch, if nothing more than to say you’ve seen it! The Arch of Cabo San Lucas is one of the most iconic landmarks of the Baja peninsula. The only way to see the arch is by water. We loved our kayak and snorkel tour with High Tide.. They offer several different group and private Cabos tours. One of their most popular tours is the Cabo San Lucas kayaking tour. It was so nice being picked up from our AirBnB and dropped off on the beach. High Tide took care of everything. We never even had to worry about carrying our kayaks or snorkel gear! The kayaks were nice and wide so they felt almost impossible to tip over. Our guides were extremely helpful. They took all the extra gear for us so all we had to do was have fun paddling. We made it to the arch and for a little while were the only ones there! Our guide was also a great photographer, making sure we got every picture we wanted. We loved the stop at Lover’s beach. This beach is only accessible by water and is right around the corner from the arch. The huge cliffs and white sand made for an incredible view! On the way back we stopped to snorkel. It was fun jumping off the kayak and seeing the schools of fish below the water. After we got back on the kayak we were greeted by a gigantic humpback whale! Comparing his size to the kayak really put into perspective just how enormous the whale was. It was a perfect way to end our kayaking in Los Cabos. My sons (18 and 22) and I (52) had never surfed before. Alex and Alan were great. I was traveling solo in Mexico, mostly focused on scuba diving. However, this trip, I also really wanted to take a surf lesson and decided to go with HighTide. As a solo traveler, I was fortunate enough to join a lovely family for a day of surfing in Cerritos. The whole day was great, organized, and fun. Mike and Alex, our surf instructors, were so down-to-earth and helpful even when I felt a bit nervous as a beginner. It's an easy drive to Cerritos; the beach there is beautiful; and the day felt relaxed and not rushed. I felt really comfortable surfing with and learning from Alex and hope to be back for another lesson! My wife, Mary and I debated the wisdom of attempting to surf at our age but are so very happy we did. My wife, Mary and I debated the wisdom of attempting to surf at our age but are so very happy we did. Marco and his partner for the day could not have been more accommodating. The beach at Cerritos is beautiful. The fish taco lunch overlooking the Pacific Ocean and seeing several whales added to the enjoyment. During the entire excursion we enjoyed the conversation with our two hosts. At all times we felt safe and relaxed in their company. Today we are quite aware of every muscle that was tested to its limit on our perfect surfing experience. Byron and Mary Murray
