This is the tour for anyone staying at Lake Daijyu or Sanshien, with convenient Tottori Airport pick-up or drop-off available, as well as fantastic natural sights. Some of the highlights of this course include the Tottori Dunes, the largest sand dune in all Japan. Formed over 100,000 years as the Chiyo River and winds pile and arrange sand, this is a sandy beach dune on an unbelievable scale. Aoyakamijichi ruins traces of a village from the Yayoi Era, a prehistoric time. Many items used for daily life in the period were found here, including the remains of an ancient structure, giving this the name of "the Yayoi Museum." The ruins of Shikano Castle are now home to cherry trees that bloom elegantly in spring. Relax as you stroll through the quiet and peaceful town of Shikano, where many historic buildings still remain. Karoichi Market is where the fresh seafood unloaded from the Karo fishing port is sold. You can enjoy fresh seafood from the Sea of Japan in the restaurants and stalls, or get some tasty treats to take home.
